Politics › Re: ‘Too Many Lies’ – Amaechi Slams Ex-npa Boss, Hadiza Usman, Makes Fresh Claims by Af0nja: 8:57am On Oct 27, 2023 |
Let it be known today and tomorrow that this country was spoiled by Yoruba people.
In their hatred and spite for the Igbo (even though Ijaws were the subject), they voted in an incompetent Buhari that laid the foundation for the greatest economic collapse ever witnessed after the heavily sanctioned Zimbabwe or Venezuela.
Let it be known in history that their hatred was the driver that had gotten us into this mess |
Politics › Re: All Former Presidents Are Ethnic Leaders Except Obasanjo – Amaechi by Af0nja: 8:50am On Oct 27, 2023 |
dapadawee: You lied. Yes amaechi lied. Obasanjo was the worst democratic leader Nigeria had ever produced. During his regime almost all State were rigged under PDP. Except Lagos. So what are we saying federal character when every state was under his character. The case of buhari and tinubu is different they got vote from their kind men let them use who they trust and if they fail they know who to blame rather than using people who are potential betrayal. Was it not this same amaechi that said buhari knows nothing that he don't even read news paper or because buhari overlooked. Did Amaechi lie?? Your point is people should put sentiment above rationale and nepotism above merit. Typical af0nja. Na una spoil this country. From voting in Buhari to your type of thinking. According to you, elected leaders should put their trust above the trust of the citizens. Reread your comment and tell me one reasonable thing in it if you're someone with an evolved brain. |

Politics › Re: Edwin Clark Asks Tinubu To Remove Abia, Imo, Ondo From NDDC by Af0nja: 11:49am On Oct 25, 2023 |
RightToReject: His submission might not have been properly articulated and carried an undertone of self-absorption, he has a point nonetheless. A better approach should be to rename NDDC something like Oil Producing States Development Commission (OPSDC) in order to accommodate both Niger Delta States and non-Niger Delta oil producing states. NDDC, as a name, isn't encompassing. The three states are all in the Niger delta geographically, even so more than Edo state |
Politics › Re: Edwin Clark Asks Tinubu To Remove Abia, Imo, Ondo From NDDC by Af0nja: 11:48am On Oct 25, 2023 |
That's not true, the three states are all coastal states. Removing either of them without removing Edo state makes no sense |

Like I always say, we all originated from a common ancestor. Our different and similar cultures are mere effects of long time social evolution. It's funny that someone in Anambara state will say that he originated from Israel while denying any close relationship with his own close neighbors. Some Yorubas say they're from Saudi Arabia , and deny having any similarities with their close brothers. Come on, even science theorizes that every human race originated from Africa. There's no way. Even fulanis wey resemble Arabs small no dey claim say Dem from there . My point is, we are all cousins and brothers that once originated from a common place. Languages, religion and traditions also show similarities that changed over time. |

2mch: Most Igbos are dark like him. What are you talking about? A lot bleach. Only a little percentage are light. Same can be found in other tribes. Compared to other tribes, the igbos have a higher percentage of light skins, this is an established fact that was even noted by white people way before bleaching creams became a thing. This is facts, your sentiment can not cancel it. Of course this doesn't mean that you can't find igbos that are as dark as the South Sudanese, or those that are as white as an albino. I for one know full blooded igbos that can pass as white if not for their hair, and I also know some that are as dark as charcoal or black nylon. |

ednut1: Some igbos love to propagate this stereotype that you all are fair skinned . But in reality there are many igbos that look like this man. Also early colonial pictures of igbo mostly look like him too. You're right that not all igbos are fair skinned, you're wrong that most igbos looked like him pre colonization. Most igbos are light skinned compared to other blacks because of their evolutionary history and not because they propagate the stereotype. That being said, I want to make the point to you that there's no particular stereotype that contains all igbos within one physical trait. There are igbos that look like the average Hausa, Yoruba, Ijaw, Nubian, Ethiopian, Fulani and even very fair skinned igbos that can pass for a Filipino. This is just the heterogeneity of most African tribes. |
