Good morning House.

I am at the verge of getting my first car. I am torn between a Hyundai Sonata 2015 and a Camry 2011. Both cars are Nigerian used however the Sonata hasn't been used for more than a year. The mileage is low. While I am tempted to go for the Camry because of its popularity and the availability of its parts, the Hyundai stands out for me because of its luxury. So I am inclined to go for the Hyundai. Please I need your advice. Is it a car a first time buyer should own? How available is the spare parts? I also hear they are quite expensive. I need advice from people who have used these cars. Thank you.

Those range is very expensive, almost $4000 to $4500, but what of 190k to 220k miles?

Toyota Corolla na your mate? In terms of speed Honda is good, in terms of Fuel consumption Toyota is better.

I don't like the shape of the 2014 corolla, I would have gone for camry 2014 but I was told corolla is more rugged and stronger than camry, like I said earlier, it's my first car so I'm a novice

It’s relative. 100,000 to 120,000 is fine for a 13 year old car. My choice will always be a 2014 corrola bro with 80,000 milleage. I don’t know why you are going for 2012.

I'm done testing the Toyota Camry, I bought 25k fuel to test It, It went 55 kilometers before the fuel finished. Whereas on my corolla, 30k fuel normally goes 150km on average.

I love the camry, it looks bigger has more power, coupled with the fact that have spent a lot on it, I bought catalyst on it, I bought seat wrap, also used nylon to wrap it, I spend 54k yesterday to raise it, so that whenever I'm passing speed breaker the center of the car won't be touching ground, I bought a new compressor for the AC and also filled it with gas, I changed all 4 spark plugs, all 4 coils, I changed the engine oil yesterday, I bought new air filter, also jarbox oil and break fluid.

If I had known I would have tested the fuel consumption before doing all of these, it's such a pity that I wasted all these money all for nothing, now I intend selling it and continue using my corolla.

I am considering a 2016 Hyundai Tucson .
I think the size and interior is perfect.

However I have some concerns , as I saw some reviews on its double clutch transmission having delays (or something like that )sometimes.

I would like to find out if it’s really a common problem. I would also like to know if there is a fix . I would also like a general review on the model.

And if review is negative , please help with perhaps better recommendations?
I considered the 2015 Santa Fe, but i think it’s much too big in size for me. The 2014 rav4 came up but it’s pricier and bland on the interior side. The 2015 Nissan qashquai came up, but people said Nissan was not good enough . Please help.

For context , I am a 5’4 lady , living in Lagos island and currently drive a 2013 corrolla sport.

you nailed it bro, @ afobam this is the best advice you can ever get on this issue, no trader performs optimally when they are under pressure or obligated to meet a certain percentage, that's how traders takes revenge on the market and force trades which eventually leads to further calamities......

Does the radio come on after you have switched off the ignition?

You might have to observe for that first and let's know.

If it's the clock alone remaining on, it cannot drain your battery. The radio will.
