TV/MoviesRe: How can We As Nigerians make Nollywood better by africhika(f): 9:01pm On Nov 24, 2009
^^ Add to the list:  Formal Training

nigerian universities should allow students to major in: film production, cinematography, dramatic theater, stage production, costume design, etc. these courses should be taught by scholars/experts.

african actors/producers/ etc. have to be willing to be trained in this area. we need african scholars who are well-researched in those areas.

our nollywood people aren't formally trained! some of the acting techniques are good. the editing is AWFUL. the audio sucks. the lighting is sometimes bad. but i'm soooo happy, that they are trying. but it's time to take it up a notch.

poster, what color is your son's ears? that will tell u what color he will be. some baby's are born yellow but their ears are dark brown. that means, the rest of the body will eventually match. just look at the ears.

don't use bleach. use shea butter for sunscreen and let him be.

Yes there is. In the village, there are chewing gum competitions hosted by the chief priest. This occurs every full moon. The woman with the best attitude marries the king.

newakata, i guess you had a romantic view of africa, like many afrocentric AAs do.

the reality:  the reason why blacks around the world have internalized self hatred is becuz africans do. africa is the source.

so yes, that's why u saw what u saw. it's more concentrated/evident in africa.

you look at the low esteem of blacks around the world. where does it come from? it all goes back to africa. and none of it will change until africa changes economically/socially/politically/etc. it's all connected to self esteem and pride. africans beg for aid. most african countries' income is 40% foreign aid. who can respect such countrieshuh how can you be proud of YOURSELF when u can't provide for YOURSELF and your people?

self esteem and pride and self-reliance. it's all connected.

a woman must  know how to cook, wash, take care of the house, and other chores. if she does not, she is in soup. because even the whites are learning how to cook now, not to talk about an African lady, in fact a Nigerian
omg. you've GOT to know what ur talking about b4 u post?

white women just now learning how to cook?  undecided
they cook! women in all cultures cook

a man must know how to cook, wash, take care of house, other chores, love, dote on wife, be a father. if he doesn't he is in soup.
