After drug addiction, I think betting is the next worst thing. With alcohol at least your belle go full or you vomit, with betting you go use your surgery money to stake even school fees
It is a terrible thing and more people are opening their korokoro eyes and entering the trap every day. There are people who watched that video clip who will start gambling soon and become addicts themselves. I can't pity such people.

The country is even harder than before.

An innocent man would think he can augment his poor income by striking 50 odds.

Watch that video again, and tell me if it is normal to be in a Betting shop by 1am?

Some don sleep sef for chair.

If that person didn't have problems and bills outside that door, you think say e no go go house?
Not an innocent man. A foolish man. Foolishness is the major driver NOT innocence.

Doc walahi seeing that man sitting on the floor completely broken broke me, i do see a lot of them in my neighbourhood too, it is becoming another pandemic 😭. I just thank God for my life that i didn't win that bet in 2015.....
Maybe it is cos i have never understood what people see in gambling. I don't even understand gambling lingo, like all those odds and stuff, and i don't want to understand. Zero interest. It is a life wrecker, and everybody should know this by now.

they say if you want to kick an addiction you have to modify your environment and eliminate exposure to triggers

but guess what

betting ads and apps are everywhere.

go to google play store - they are there in most populr apps
go to your banking app - betting option is there
go to any site without adblock - betting app in your face

then you have billboards with Jayjay and co shilling gambling
then you have betting parlor as ubiquitous as 7-11 in obodo oyibo

one every 500 metres

if you make mistake enter the trap, you are not getting out.

the government is not doing enough to properly regulate betting.

when we were growing up the cigarette industrys advertsising power was unbridled. today if you see any cigarette ad it follows with warning.

it is a big problem - but it was originally designed to snag the poor . its reach is growing and snagging the middle class. by the time one or two banking ogas commit major fraud because of gambling debt - regulation will come in by force.
Oh the government has a duty to regulate and carry out oversight of the betting industry. I just don’t feel it is my place as a private citizen to waste pity on anyone caught in that trap. I come across people with terminal diseases and incapacitating illnesses every day. People going through really tough times that they had no control over. Those are the ones I will spend my pity on not anyone who through greed, ignorance, lack of self-control or plain stupidity got himself drowning in gambling debts.

You are right, it breaks my heart anytime i see videos like this. I know people who have lost so much to sport betting....
Your heart go dey easy to break then. The supply of pity is finite. I can’t waste it on a full-grown man who has wrecked himself and possibly his family due to betting.

This is because he couldn't really play any worse than he was playing. The bar is extremely low for his performances.
Nobody knows the depth which Antony can sink to o. It is possible he can play worse than he has been doing but I think he played okay today and was one of our better players.

We can get a result against Newcastle.
We'll beat Chelsea
We'll beat Bournemouth
We'll beat Bayern
Liverpool is the only real doubt.

So pipe down y'all with the fake cry of horror.

Last week we had a bigger list being circled around with the same reaction. But as it turns out, we'd have gotten 6 out of 6 if not for Onana.
Newcastle will smash us the way alpha males smash low self-esteem babes.

What quantity and quality does Germany have over France and England

England has been fielding black players with Caribbean origin for over decades
It is all about the demographic of the lower class. Football is a poor man’s game and a country with a strong immigration population will have that expressed in the composition of its national team. That is why Holland, France, England were some of the earliest to show this.

As Germany’s immigrant population has grown it has started showing up in the national team as well, initially with the Turks who were some of the first to flood Germany, but now extending to other immigrant populations.

I didn't know that was another group oh.

Truly, none was ever like Trybesmen.
It was part of the same collective. The first 3 formed Trybesmen way back in the mid to late 90s. Then in the early 2000s when younger guys started hanging out with them the OGs formed Da Trybe which was the original 3 Trybesmen PLUS the young ones.

Trybesmen and Swat Root were the ones that initially saved Nigerians from wackawickee MCs before Rugged Man dealt wackawickee MCs the death blow.

Eldee was in Trybesmen

Na that group produce Sasha; the first female rapper i know.

Even Freestyle was from Trybesmen

Kai! Nostalgic
Eldee, Freestyle, and KB (Kaboom) were Trybesmen.

Sasha, Blaize, Dr Sid, 2Shotz, Double O , Timmy and the others were Da Trybe.

When Shake Bodi was released it was the most incredible experience. There had never been a rap record like that in Nigeria. Freestyle could be deadly when on form.

Yeah. I grew up knowing the name and I was always enthralled by him

One of the names that seem to live forever like Jimmy Carter

Maybe like the TY Danjuma of Yankee men that have been in power for 60yrs plus
Jimmy Carter na child's play compared to Kissinger. Kissinger was similar to how Sollozo described Don Corleone in The Godfather. He carried around so many politicians in his pocket, like so many nickels and dimes.
