Ellexy: That Agbor to Uromi road might be the baddest road I've encountered especially when it rains.
There is a road I passed through in Anambra State many years back. The people that live in that place should be given national awards. I think it is just after Onitsha. The road is a little wider than a dining table with deep gullies on both sides, but lorries and trailers ply it daily.
The best we can do for these kids is realize early enough if we’re going to play them and then release them.
Yes. The thing is you never know for sure which of them will make it. Nobody would have picked Lingard and McTominay as the ones that would make it it of their set.
This set has a lot of good players and a few very good ones but I don’t yet see the exceptional talent that can easily move to men’s football. Maybe your boy Harrison or Lacey.
Leyqute: Lol. He must think he’s arrived when there’s still a long way to go.
He’s got 4 goals but only one of them tests his technicality- the curler. Two were rebounds and the last one is a penalty.
Do you know much about him? How would you rate him?
I have watched a lot of his games over the past 2 years and he is a hard one to assess. He has very good height, size, and decent speed and technique but his decision making and finishing are suspect. My guess is that he doesn't make it here but because of his physical tools he will have a decent footballing career. I still prefer him to our Edo boy Victor Musa who disappears for long periods in a game and ends up with a 2-3 goals.
This team is the most dominant Under-18 team we have had in a very long time, yet I can’t name one player that is certain to make it here. Their squad depth is just next level.
BlueRayDick: Can u imagine ? That’s like salary of like 12 years ago and someone still wants to pay it this year without even considering inflation and time value of money ? ….. smh .
Before u pay house rent , feeding and other sundry expenses 250k don finish . Maybe na leaf doctor go dey wear go work like Adam and Eve because where he wan see money buy cloth inside ?
One of the things that hastened my exit from the country was my realisation that the average man on the street would always support the government and employers whenever doctors talk about inadequate remuneration.
Someone is saying only specialist surgeons should be earning 250k. I have a cousin who is a cardio-thoracic surgeon and I know the way he was slaving away, especially during his residency. You now want him to be paid 250k in these times.
As long as it does not directly affect them most people are not truly interested in the plight of others.
BlueRayDick: I saw the post and o shook my head . They will pay doctor that will do night and day shifts 250k and dem expect make dead body no surplus for the hospital ?
This country dey somehow sef . Personally I think doctors on an average should earn more than tech boils and those who work in the oil and gas sector .
That 250k na wetin no dey enough wey make boys go on strike in 2011-2012. Imagine if e no dey enough with the general price level then, how meagre it would be now.
The country needs a comprehensive public health insurance scheme which will go hand in hand with private schemes as well, in order to ameliorate the problem of lack of quality healthcare and poor staff remuneration. It won't magically transform things to Western standards, but it would definitely make things significantly better. It goes without saying that corruption has to be tackled as well, or else the funds will just be embezzled.
ChristoBam: I don't know the rumors surrounding Amrabat but I'm pretty sure they're all false. Man's not even been here for that long. He probably needs a little more time to settle in.
Also, Amrabat was just an opportune signing. We got him on loan when we needed more bodies in the midfield. Anyone in our situation would have gotten him. Quality player available for a crazy cheap price while we've got little funds available.
So if it doesn't work, it's not really on anyone.
I never said it was on anyone. LOL I was just thinking, you can't claim people who wanted Amrabat don't know football and then be stanning ETH (who wanted Amrabat) as a brilliant football mind. Shikena!
GloriousGbola: tolu the unknown shoemaker didn't know this
sad
Haha. I knew you would connect the dots.
Yes, unfortunately things went a bit awry for him. The guy was so popular in Uni cos he used to hold free Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics lectures for students in different faculties (especially Engineering and Sciences). He was giving lectures almost every evening to different levels including his seniors and was holding a ridiculously solid 1st class until i think he either stopped going for classes or informed the school he was withdrawing. I don't remember how things ended sha.
The guy is most likely struggling with mental issues. I remember one extremely brilliant guy that challenged our principal to make some changes to his management style or else God will strike the principal down. I think he wrote letters to the principal as well. He was going to be expelled but people interceded on his behalf. When he got to Uni he got weirder and weirder, and the mental health issue became more pronounced.
BlueRayDick: And the fish sellers of Oyingbo are complaining they can't even afford eat decent meals again nor take care of their kids' needs.
Nigerian leaders no dey make sacrifices ; Na only the followers dey make sacrifice .
At my former place of work one woman who works as a cleaner would always sing of Tinubu's praises and even campaign for him to her fellow cleaners . I always get to work early so I do hear them talk while they clean but I go put earpiece for ear like say I no do hear anything .
It was later when her fellow cleaners were asking her what was in it for her she told them she got 20k during ileya and 6 yards Ankara material . After the whole subsidy removal and the hardship that followed , if u see how he other cleaners dey always attack her daily ehn..... I go just dey chuckle where I dey 🤭
You can't blame her. A wise man once said, "Eni ti o ra ankara o le je semo". That ankara dey very crucial
raumdeuter: I get one family friend that used to be in govt and retired as perm sec in the 2000s. For almost 30yrs plus of his career in civil service, he never bought flight ticket, bought rice bought meat, never bought anything with his salary everything na govt expenses. Even na govt go carry all the expenses to bury his own mother.
Shebi Jim Nwobodo carry National stadium generator go his village and dropped athletes for Atlanta Olympics for his mother inlaw, maids, his kids and their friends all on govt budget
Very true on Jim. They had to beg him to return the generator sef. After the event in his village (I think his mother’s burial) he refused to return the gen.
BlueRayDick: Muller don caption the message Sanwoolu and Tinubu dey pass to the common man with their spendings
Reminds me of that Bayern team under Hansi Flick. That is the most sadistic team I have seen in a long time. Dem go Dey woze person 5-0 and the manager go just dey bone face like he just lose him job.
I believe it's the normal impunity they've always gotten away with that made LASG release the financials without even trying to doctor it or make it look more believable. Probably they never thought anybody will sit and analyze the report critically
When such practices become a way of life impunity and callousness will set in. The tragedy is that this is what happens all over the country. The common man is phucked.
BlueRayDick: And the annoying part is they always have some citizens like me and u who have sold their conscience who would even gaslight u for asking questions .
Look at the irresponsible fellow below telling us to talk about other things instead of asking for holding the government responsible for this fraudulent misappropriation of public funds .
This country ehn
Person call himself weirdo you come dey act surprised at what he is yarning.
In any sane country the governor would lose his position and might even face charges if those claims are found to be true
These guys are treating their fellow Nigerians almost as bad as how slaves were treated.
Leyqute: He’s saying that things are changing because of 4 narrow unconvincing oriyomi wins against relegation teams in the last 5 league games. What about the pitiful losses in the league cup and in Europe?
Dude even added that other teams around the top are dropping points, so it’s all fine.
He’s lost the mentality.
Like Wyclef Jean, he’ll probably be gone by November.
BlueRayDick: This abroad people no go kill person.
So a woman approaches a clearly drunk celebrity, asks him for a photo which he agrees to, he told her she has a banging body, he took her to one corner where he grabbed her breast and also grabbed her by the pvsssy (credit: Donald Trump), and it all ended when her friend came looking for her.
The news article never talked about her protesting being handled by a drunk Mr. Foxx, the news didn't talk about Mr. Foxx being in the right frame of mind; yet the woman comes back 8 years after claiming damages.
Omo!
If I were to be in Mr. Foxx's shoes, I can pay my lawyers millions to ensure she doesn't get a dime from the lawsuit. I will then sue her for taking advantage of me in my drunken state.
It is a blatant money grab. It is actually a smart scheme.
Accuse any rich man that you have ever had contact with of assaulting you. It is either he is liable and you get paid loads of money or he is not and you don’t get paid loads of cash. Most likely your deal with your lawyers is that they get paid if you get paid.
If the rich man is not found liable, you don’t get punished by the courts and you don’t owe anyone money. You can now channel your new found fame into a social media influencer career.
