How far is Germany from Austria? I see Austria official language is German. Are they close to each other or how did Austria get to have German has its official language?
Austria was meant to be part of Germany from the start, but the Prussians and Austrians had a tussle which the Prussians won, so they ensured Austria was kicked out of the union from inception as there could not be 2 masters. The Austrian leadership also had reservations about joining the German union because they (the Austrians) had a lot of non-German territories in Hungary, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans which they might have had to give up in order to join the German union.

You can read up on the Grossdeutchland vs Kleindeutchland debate.

Everyone knows I'm 100% ETH in rn so take that into context.

Y'all were rubbishing Poch for months here when the job was between him and ETH.

Any talk about Poch and Chelsea in relation to ETH should be thoroughly laughed at here. People started calling me Poch lover because I didn't want ETH then.

Poch was made to look like a villian trying to steal the job from the anointed one.

He is a good player. He is probably just a step below Foden in terms of talent but of course he is not near Foden's level yet.

He hasn't set Chelsea ablaze though, has he?
No. I was just answering his question about how i happen to know academy players from other clubs. It is not all academy players that i know but the deadly ones, especially players like Palmer that mashed Man Utd up whenever they played us. The guy had Greenwood like stats with their Under-18s, and he was not a striker.

The Gamarra guy must have played most of career in South America cos he should’ve been hot prospect for European team na with those excellent stats
You are right. His prime was in South America. By the time he joined Inter in his 30s he was on his last legs and he had prime Cannavaro, Cordoba, Materazzi to contend with.

Aswear !

The way he times his tackles , I’ve not seen anyone do that in recent times . He wins the ball fair and square ; uses his agility and pace to his advantage everytime he’s in a duel for the ball.
That is why he is Saliba bus stop.

That stat is nice but one of the craziest I know of is Carlos Gamarra. Paraguayan main CB who went to 2 world cups, played 8 games, and did not concede a single foul.

It depends on how you are looking at it sha. If you check America history, blacks were not even allowed to votes but white men. I think it was afer they now said all races can votes but they must conduct literacy test on them. There's this YouTube video I once watch but I can't find it again.
You need to read more about it. Your information is incomplete.

Before the US Civil War there were no literacy tests. Some years after the civil war those tests started cropping up state by state. People were not allowed to vote unless they passed literacy tests. This disenfranchised most blacks and many illiterate whites.

The exception was that if your grandfather had been a voter then you didn’t have to pass the literacy tests. This restored the voting rights of most of the illiterate whites but still kept the blacks from voting as their grandfathers were obviously slaves.

So you see, it was all a grand scheme to suppress the African-Americans.

I think you are actually talking about how blacks were disenfranchised. These are ultimately all policies to turn democracy to plutocracy. That is why in the beginning the voting blocs were landed white men.

There is a scene from the 70s roots TV show where a black man said he had the right to vote and they brought out some constitutional document for him to read. He read it as best as he could, then they asked him to explain it. When he couldn't they said how can you expect to vote of you cannot comprehend this simple document. These are the same landowners that had done their utmost best to stop slaves from becoming literate.
Oh I didn’t know you had responded. Those tests were targeted at African-Americans.

This was how America democracy started.

There's was literacy test then and if you don't pass it, you won't be allowed to vote.

Even till today America is still doing electoral college votes but the difference here is that the delegates will always aligne with their states votes
Actually not true.

Literacy tests started years after the US Civil War (over 100 years after US independence) and the primary goal was to disenfranchise freed African-American slaves. This was one of the major ways the then racist Democratic Party seized power in the Deep South.

I know nah but Awolowo outliving Akintola means he can perfect his own side of the story.

You yourself know the story doesn't favor Akintola at all even though Akintola wasn't the villain that was painted.
What i am saying is that it played out in front of millions of people and several of them have written books on it independent of any story perfection by Awolowo.
