I am not sure. Amad probably suits the system better than Antony as he is more intelligent and can interchange passes with teammates, i am just not sure if he has the physicality for the EPL right now. I think that issue is currently being worked on tho. If you watched Rashford closely today, you’ll observe that he tried finding his teammates in the box 3 out of 5 times he got the ball.

Antony didn’t see much of the ball but there was one moment he overhit a ball that seemed like a cross, although it might’ve been him trying to find the net again.

This is my own ish:

Even if they don’t pass to teammates, the koko is that their end result of having the ball in dangerous areas has to improve significantly. If you don’t pass, better damn make sure that you score the goal, or assist someone else. This is why nobody complains when Ronaldo play selfishly. He almost always delivers.

Unfortunately, Rashford and Antony have terrible accuracy in crossing the ball. It’s a major stumbling block for them. And their finishing still needs massive improvement, Antony more than Rashford.

Rashford can shoot and can outrun his marker. Antony can’t shoot, can’t pass, can’t outrun his marker. He expends so much energy twisting and turning without getting anything done. Life no hard like that now. He needs prayers.

I agree with this. We’ve neglected the academy for too long. No wonder even our players have their kids enrolled in City’s academy.

Yeah. I think they have recently started doing something about it. Started with the recruitment of Hannibal, Mejia, Fernandez, Jurado, Garnacho but for us to reap consistently good results it might take a few years

You could say that we’ve gotten phase 1 sorted out with the addition of Onana.

Teams won’t press us anyhow with the conviction that they can catch us in possession and score easy goals. After 3 unsuccessful attempts (where they nearly concede or actually concede goals- depending on Rashford and Antony’s mood) , they’ll probably fall back and concede possession to us.

This will give us more control over games but then the onus will be on us to dismantle the bus that they’ll park. This is where ETH has his work cut out for him.

His tactics and his player’s profile matters a lot here. We have Bruno, Sancho and vDBeek who know how to create space inside a pack of bodies. Then, our attackers have to be more clinical. After that, we have to pick our moments of transition carefully and the execution has to be top notch.

ETH has to find a working formula. If not, e don fokop.

The main responsibility belongs to Rashford and Antony. If they continue keeping their heads down and cutting in to shoot, disregarding overlapping teammates and those in the box, we will struggle to create clear chances or score goals. They are the main reason things break down in the final 3rd. Rashford can still be forgiven for trying it cos we have seen the results in the past but that Poco Lee with his tirin gbeku legs needs to cautioned.

We need to sort these guys out ASAP so as to clear road for younger talents that might be coming through. We need a definite and improved system for fast tracking academy graduates into the first XI. We held on too long onto Perreira and a few others before deciding they don’t have a future at United.

You are right but we need to improve the academy first, so that we promote people who deserve it and not just because they are from the academy. Apart from the usual suspects that we already know we don’t have any obvious people coming through right now. It is possible that nobody comes through for the next 3 years or more.

Any striker coming to this team has his work cut out for him. Our wide forwards Antony and Rashford are the worst decision makers in the team and both play with a head down mentality. If ETH can’t kick it out of them then he has to kick at least one of them out of the first team.

Yes we are but one has to consider that Dortmund are behind in their preseason so their fitness levels won't be the same as ours. I want to see us do this pressing and ball movement against teams with top fitness levels. I guess we won't be sure until the season starts. Pellistri and Sancho have been good. Even Donny Just Come has been good.

Brandon Williams spoiled a good first half performance with his typical rush of blood mistake.

This season has to make sense. We need 1st or 2nd in the league, a very good UCL run and to win the FA cup.

I would take 2nd in the league and a good run in the UCL and FA Cup (SF in both competitions). I can just about manage QF in UCL if we lose honourably to an exceptional team. The team must also improve in terms of the quality of the football.

If not, ETH go just explain tire but no evidence say e try him best.

They are correct. By and large they have delivered for ETH. It remains for him and his players to deliver for the fans.

The Glazers have had their phuck ups but in this window they have delivered for ETH. They still don't know how to negotiate good transfer fees but over the past 2 windows they have delivered almost every player that ETH wanted apart from FDJ. It is now left to ETH and the players to make it work. I am ready to be pleasantly surprised by Mason Mount but i am not optimistic.
