We warned them ahead of time. We even showed them the calculations.
Imagine someone not only showing you the answer in an exam but also showing the calculation and working. cheesy

If there is one thing a life of watching sports has taught me, it is that there is a big difference between what you HOPE will happen and what you THINK will happen.
Obi.diots conflated the two.

Tinubu will rule for 8yrs and he will succeed. Nigeria will be great under his leadership. He is a divine project for new, prosperous Nigeria.
We all pray for success. In a vacuum he is the best of the 3 major candidates but once has to wait and see how severely his health issues will handicap him and how far he will bend over backwards to those that helped him to get into power.

Tinubu of 10 years ago would have been a surer bet. This present version is dicey at best (but anybody leading Nigeria now would still be dicey at best. The country is in dire straits).

They lost gallantly, though regrettably for their ill-thought decisions and actions but they don't wanna admit it or own it up - major cause of their defeat is; 3 Musketeers that couldn't work together.

Probably with that is I'm not sure he'll come and be backup for Bruno. But you're right. I've been a fan of his for a while. I just don't see how he plays considering Bruno will always play. Bruno is probably full time captain too.
Man City have found a way of loading their team with quality starters and bench players. Bruno should not always play. KDB does not. Foden does not. Mahrez does not. Silva does not.
The reason Bruno always plays 90 mins every game is cos we don't have a quality sub for him. If we get a quality sub we can rest him from time to time.

the first time he was being bandied about in the media, it was an £80m range quoted. even with a year left, I don't expect the fee request to go below £70m.
LOL. Not possible. Then he had 2-3 years on his contract and they were in the EPL. Highest they can get for him with a year left and them in the Championship would be 40m.

We can get Maddison relatively cheaply from Leicester. 1yr left on his contract and they are relegated. He can come in and deputize for Bruno. Bruno can't keep playing 90 mins 2 times a week.

Nigeria is blessed such that we don’t experience natural disasters like other countries. I think the major natural disaster we usually experience is flooding and overflowing of rivers Benue and Niger
Yeah. Flooding occurs in Nigeria but even at that it is not near the severity of what they experience in China, India, and some parts of Europe.

That's why The Wire is goated when it.comes to this street shït

Even Godfather of Harlem which is the only one I've been following for the past 4 years is becoming a bit ridiculous at times.
The Wire is definitely GOATED. It had the story line, the writing, and the acting. Many iconic characters.

I think one thing that makes it easier for such series to last 4-5 seasons with maintained quality is if it’s an ensemble cast. If there is no obvious main character the writers can always refresh and switch storylines but if there is one major character there is only so much the writers can do.

Snowfall lost me by season 2
I think it bounced back like Tafa. Overall, i preferred the acting in Snowfall to that in Power, and the script was more realistic too. Power nearly turned James St Patrick into a superhero.

It is not easy to find series that can go on for several seasons and maintain their initial quality. Those ones are the GOAT contenders.

By playing only for the dominant clubs in 3 different leagues. I would be surprised if there is any year of his career he hasn’t won the league title.
The day he moves to a mid-table club he would be in for a rude awakening.
Just as i expected. Coman has won a league title in every season he has ever played as a professional, and the season he moved from Juve to Bayern mid-season he won 2 league titles.

Oh ok. I rate it better than Power. Power got quite dramatic and illogical. Snowfall got grimier and darker. The acting is topnotch too.

Same thing happened to Power, at a point it became a joke. It's nowhere near the quality of highly rated drug/crime/gang series like The Wire & Broadwalk Empire etc.

If you don't care about quality but fun, you'd enjoy it. Power is better than Empire (which is a totally crappy series), but it pales in quality compared to good crime series out there.
What is your opinion of Snowfall?

How would they prove themselves by sitting on the bench every game? I agree we need to win today's game to remain 3rd, he should play his regular senior players so there won't be any excuse.
They probably have to prove themselves in training at least. IF they are struggling in training against friendly opposition with less to and less to lose it might be unwise to send them out in a competitive match.
The only problem is I don’t think Mainoo and Iqbal would have been struggling so bad against the 1st team in training.

What I don’t agree with him about is that 3rd place issue. I would rest the 1st team starters and play the bench players. We can’t afford any more injuries to starters before the final.
