The way those painkillers (Feldene, Felvin, Cataflam) can knock one's kidneys is nasty. The extra problem is until it knocks the kidneys to about 30% capacity the individual might not feel anything, especially if it is a slow but progressive decline. Your body keeps adjusting and adapting until it can adapt no more. |

I have now lost three friends to this, two were teetotal. So it goes past alcohol Of course i know it is not only celebrities. I was just trying to connect the dots seeing that renal failure seems to be the disease of choice amongst Naija celebrities. It's not even the alcohol that is the issue (since that one primarily hits the liver), but the unknown impurities used to adulterate those drinks. Those ones just travel to the kidney tubules to sediment and create roadblock, and before you know it the kidney don fail. P.S For most of the normal tetotaler people getting kidney failure it is either from strong pain killers (Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, Alabukun) or from undiagnosed/poorly controlled hypertension. Diabetes too is on the rise. |

Many normal citizens dey drop with kidney failure wey be teetotal. Even the soft drinks too get wahala Of course i know it is not only celebrities. BlueRayDick: They call it "Oti Apongbon".
If u go to Apongbon under bridge on Lagos Island, u will market women selling all kinds of premium alcoholic drinks/liquour ranging from Hennessy, Hennessey VSOP, Azul, Luc Belaire, Ace of spade, Don perignom etc. They are all fake drinks being sold at cheap prices. You will be shocked they even sell some drinks that are limited edition.
In fact there's a market for box/casket of the original drink. They buy the original box and put the fake drink inside. That's where people buy those drinks which can be harmful to the body. Na those fake drinks dey contribute to the high incidence of kidney failure with Nigerian celebrities. |

raumdeuter: If Tinubu didnt contest and it was straight between Atiku and Obi
Who do you think will win?
IMO
Atiku vs Obi = Atiku Atiku vs Tinubu = Atiku Tinubu vs Obi = Tinubu Tinubu vs Atiku vs Obi = Tinubu
There was no permutation where Obi can win any of the front 3 candidates You are not analytical enough. See analytical person giving Obi more votes than Tinubu in practically every region of the North and equal votes in the SW. If self-deception was an Olympic sport. Spy360: Peter Obi will always make people who think they have sense senseless. The moment you mentioned 'pandora' I knew you analysis has been compromised.
NE- Atiku 50% Obi 25% Tinubu 25% NW- Atiku 45% Obi 30% Tinubu 25% NC- Obi 60% Atiku 30% Tinubu 10% SE- Obi 95% Tinubu 5% Atiku 0% SW- Tinubu 40% Obi 40% Atiku 20% SS- Obi 90% Tinubu 5% Atiku 5%
Peter Obi has the brightest chance in a free and fair elections |

patrickmuf: True that. That dude is asking why the PDP or APC did not go after Obi even in the face of all the pictures painted in front of him.
Tinubu picking Shettima and not just any other Northern Muslim helped his course. At some point, I felt Atiku had the advantage but the Northern Governors worked their socks off to ensure the APC had a strong showing in the North whereas, the PDP Governors in the South were divided courtesy of Wike. If the G5 did not happen then it would have been a lot closer or Atiku would have won marginally.
I still don't know why Atiku did not pander to the demands of Wike and his G5 group, Ayu was not worth backing over 5 Governors... I think Atiku just had some super belief in the North. He actually had reason to do so, cos for example I was surprised by the Yobe State result. That is one of the most anti-PDP states historically, yet Atiku won it. Where he specifically miscalculated in the North was underestimating the loyalty of the Northern governors to Tinubu. Tinubu owes those guys BIG TIME, which might not augur well for the country. In addition if, according to the clip posted here yesterday, he actually believed that Obi’s candidacy would affect Tinubu more it was probably due to ignorance caused by his self-imposed exile in Dubai. Finally, G5 played a part as well as you rightly pointed out. Overall it was just a poorly run campaign by Atiku. He snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. |

patrickmuf: The APC counted on Obi to deal PDP a huge blow in the SE and SS while the PDP just looked at the possibility of Obi diving the Southern votes as well as the middle belt votes...In the end, the PDP came out worst but to be fair it could have gone either way. It is not rocket science but dude just wants to argue. PDP overestimated their chances in the North and were probably counting on Tinubu to choose a Northern Christian. They also underestimated Obi’s pull in the South and misread the mood in the region. Tinubu on his part avoided electoral suicide by choosing a Northern Muslim as running mate, which gave him a fighting chance in the election. Obi’s strong showing in traditional PDP strongholds who were never going to vote Tinubu then sealed the deal. Absent of those 2 things happening TOGETHER Atiku would have disgraced Tinubu into retirement. |
