GloriousGbola: Scrubs pics from post history
I disagree.
For the reason that Qatar chose to bid and host the show. There have been over scores of sports festivals held over the globe over the last century and anyone bidding for a sports festival knows what comes with it.
Nobody was desperately looking for a host. Countries are the ones looking to host the games
Sports tourists are typically well Heeled and from liberal economies. Successful athletes are colourful and often scandalous characters.
None of this is is hidden knowledge
Dubai is looking to the future and have decided tourism is the future. They are gradually phasing out Islamic law because you can only really enforce that on migrant workers who want your money Tourists, whose money you want, will simply go elsewhere.
It's like saying I want to host Woodstock and I don't want weed.
This goes beyond gays. Qatar is an autocratic theocracy.
Even slightly ironic as Arab men have strong bro vibes, holding hands, hugging and all that
The other day I saw a video of Qatari security harassing a journalist who had been issued a pass.
You want to watch football without beer? Without saucy female fans? With restrictions on taking pictures?
Football is a western invention and it comes with western vices The onus was on FIFA not to award the hosting rights to Qatar. Qatar did not contract Danny Ocean and his boys to carry out a high level heist and snatch the hosting rights from FIFA HQ. You can't expect a country to change its laws for a sporting event. When FIFA was awarding it to Qatar i am sure their brain was not leaking oil, and they knew that Qatar was autocratic. |

Roland17: Tchouameni? yes, Rabiot? Nope... The guy no dey too give me confidence during competition, I have seen enough of him during international games/ competitions to not depend on him.
Eduardo Camavinga (20) Youssouf Fofana (23) Matteo Guendouzi (23) Aurelien Tchouameni (22) Adrien Rabiot, Juventus (27) Jordan Veretout, Marseille (29) I am not sure how he made the squad
We need to be able to transition the ball to our forward/ attacking players very fast. Don’t underrate Guendouzi too. Relax my gee, there is no need to fear. Deschamps has always utilised a functional midfield and solid defenders . Even Pogba always toned down his flair for the national team. The key is going to be the Griez, Benz, Mbappe connection. |

Roland17: Our weakest link na Goalkeeping with that "Kurubete" H. LIoris I have been advocating for his dismissal from the team but the guy village people no gree. I am also worried about our midfield because it is too young, inexperienced and lacks creativity from deep. Don't be scared, Tchouameni is here. I think a Tchouameni/Rabiot pivot will be a solid base to build on. I trust 2 or 3 of the forward players to be on form at any point in time. |

raumdeuter: The world cup in Qatar is starting in a few days
There have been many issues with many people attacking the choice of Qatar ranging from
1. They used slave labor to construct the stadium and slavery is prevalent in Qatar 2. They banned alcohol and are not accepting of Gay People 3. They bribed to get the hosting rights 4. They are interrupting the football calendar by having the tournament in December
For me personally, these issues if I will rank them from Most important to least import, I will list as above with 1 being the most important and 4 the least important
While some have merits some of the issues are just stretching things
If you are so pissed about Qatar hosting, just boycott the world cup like Cantona. Don't watch don't fly there, dont even comment about it just ignore and let those who dont mind enjoy the games
It will be harder for me to be very connected when Nigeria is not playing though but I wish everyone the best and for Germany to win
Favorite will be France Brazil Portugal I have traditionally been a supporter of France and Holland. I would like for France to win it and for Big Benz to win the Golden Ball. |

Theflint1: No, he vouching for Odili, like when I was in secondary school, even though I didn't meet Odili, I sha heard of him, and it was said that whenever he didn't play for CKC we would lose. Unlike Tinubu that claimed to have graduated from a Nigerian high school, yet no one knows him, senior or junior. Amala kerikeri. See as you reverse engineer this amala. izzou: The fact that he gave the school's name means Odili attended.
It's also possible that Odili was a legend in CKC, and even after he left, his legacies in the school team must have been passed on to others
I just dey assume sha.
Its also possible that Odili failed ruthlessly and woefully, so he had to repeat classes back to back. That one still follow Or Obi entered school as a new born bouncing baby boy. Nothing is impossible. |
