You can have it at 50, 60, 70, 80 and you can reach 100 without it. His problem is not his age as we can point to many people older who are not afflicted with such issues. The problem is the neurological condition he is suffering from. Talking mainly about his age is a bit too simplistic.
A40: I didn't say you did. I was speaking generally to how June 12 seems to have done a lot of whitewashing of Abiola.
We understand that IBB was a supervillain but Abiola no Holy pass. Not in the least. I do suspect there was a screwjob somewhere. My own conspiracy theory is IBB wanted to hand over to his guy Abacha as payback for his loyalty and saving his bacon
And the whole annulment was just a ruse to muddy the whole thing
Oh ok. I get you now.
I don't think IBB intended to hand over permanently to Abacha. To understand IBB's moves you have to go back to his time as an instructor in the NDA in the early 70s to his time commanding the Army Armoured Corps, and finally get to his roles in the 1983 and 1985 coups.
The guy was like a mafia don who had established a commission of young officers who accepted him as sort of a first among equals. His powers were not absolute, and he depended heavily on those officers (the so-called IBB boys), which is one reason why he was happy to annul the election immediately those same officers kicked against Abiola's presidency.
The other reason was IBB's innate greed which made it easier for him to acquiesce to the demands of his clique, since IBB himself was happy to stay in power for as long as possible. That is why IBB instead of resigning or stepping down from office, announced that he was "stepping aside" in the belief that his main man Abacha would hand power back to him. Abacha now played a fast one on him.
patrickmuf: I share same sentiments but his age is a big no for me...There's Sowore and another young Edo guy on the ballot who has impressed me almost everytime I listen to him.
It is not age. The man probably has a Lewy Body Dementia, either Parkinson's Disease Dementia or Dementia with Lewy Bodies.
TrebleChamp: Boy looks like something special, see how he is hitting the top corner with precision. Hope dem go mentor him well so we don't have another Greenwood on our hands....
Apart from injuries the other hurdle he has to climb is physical traits. It is too early to know if he is going to be big or fast enough but in terms of technique, dedication and application he has no problems.
Adun27: Please some weeks ago, I found out that her colleague (a male) calls her often. I told her but immediately she flair up and went to work with anger, she told me that the boy was calling him for work meanwhile they will see for sure the second workday, when you left home angrily without even fighting her.
The boy sent me some texts on WhatsApp explaining that she wants to collect a phone from my wife blahblahblah, I never replied the text, the boy called me twice on the second day and I didn't pick, my wife told me that the boy saw her face look angry and that's why he asked what was wrong with her and she explained to him, she told me that was why he was texting me.
Yesterday, I found out that the same boy still calls my wife and my wife calls him too, when I raised the issue again she flair up telling me the boy was calling him to ask her welfare. What is confusing is that the first time they talk different things, why would a reasonable guy continues calling her after he knew it caused fight the first time, why would she continue too when she knows that it's threatening her marriage.
My wife has been denying me sex for 3 months, tell me if that's possible for a girl who loves to Bleep.
My wife has a child for me and she has been supportive financially, she does house chores everything, but she had betrayed me twice before, one was cheating, the other she stole money coniving with my cousins at my former business.
Please somebody advise me what to do.
Your wife cheated before and also stole money from you before?
Oasis007: Our U18 is annoying. Dem dey chop beating left and right.
The 1st year scholars have been underwhelming so far, especially Adam Berry and Victor Musa who were highly touted coming from the younger age grades. The 2nd year scholars like Mather, Gore, and especially Oyedele have been quite good but they need to 1st year scholars to step up.
Based on the hype they came in with and a few glimpses here and there i expect Finley McAllister, Adam Berry, and Victor Musa to give better performances by the 2nd half of the season. They have missed Ethan Ennis who was meant to be the star of this season as a 2nd year scholar but suffered a season ending injury.
This just makes me rate Kobbie Mainoo more. As a 15 yr old schoolboy he was playing with the 1st and 2nd year scholars in the Under-18s and as a 16yr old 1st year scholar he dominated the Under-18s. Now as a 17yr old 2nd year scholar he is dominating the Under-21 reserves despite almost always being the youngest player on the pitch.
Ellexy: Cristians on this board have been disturbing us all season how Ronaldo wanted to leave but the club refused letting him. Their man is now saying it's the club that has been trying to ship his ass out all these while....
TrebleChamp any comment on this cos I find it a tad bit confusing, what exactly is going on?
Initial report: Man United refused to allow Ronaldo to leave. Cristians: We can't take it. Such wickedness. Our god should be allowed to leave.
Latest report: Man Utd tried to push Ronaldo out of the club. Cristians: We can't take it. Such wickedness. Our god should not be pushed out of the club.
TrebleChamp: Does Ronaldo Jr play like his Dad? Hope Ronaldo won't take him away from the Academy when he leaves...
He surely will take him away, as he should. He is going to be tall like his dad and i am certain Ronaldo will get him all the help he needs in terms nutrition and training to be a supreme athlete. So, my guess is that he will be a good player if he maintains the interest in football but there are a few players in the team who are better than him AT THIS TIME.
This is their chairman. He has over 60k followers on IG.
Roland17: The treatment and management of mental in Nigeria is nearly non-existent, especially with the stigma associated with it..Our culture and religion don’t help matters.
A lot of Nigerians are struggling with undiagnosed mental health disorder, especially dual diagnosis but they call it off as stress related or flat out deny it. The amount of undocumented substance abuse going on, especially amongst the youth is troubling.
He needs serious rehab. This is not the time to clean him up, pay his bills or house him or for a pastor to come and start deceiving people for the gram as this doesn’t look like depression.. Its time to get him serious mental health help.
Get him evaluated and possibly diagnosed.
Diagnosis and insight are quite critical for proper management.
Roland17: That man is dealing with undiagnosed mental health disorder. Worsestill, it could be dual diagnosis (Mental health disorder and alcohol/ drug abuse).
Hmmmm. Dual diagnosis must be worse than single diagnosis.
A40: IBB and Abiola were 5 and 6. Only naive people see Abiola as some Patron saint, well he was a patron for coups if that's the patron we are talking about
Fela his fellow egba brother sang ITT (International thief thief) specially for him
Nobody sees IBB as some good guy but the fact that Abiola contested his annulled election doesn't mean he was no saint like most people been misled to believe.
Where did i call Abiola a patron saint?
What i am saying is that it is strange to think that a drug dealer President annulled an election because the winner was a drug dealer.
And i know the fine details of all the coups and i am aware of Abiola's role in financing the 1983 and 1985 coups.
raumdeuter: I am reading the Soludo interview and he is spitting the exact same thing I have said on this thread and many people without sentiments will agree
Some below
It is obvious to anybody with a functioning brain, but sentiment beclouded many of them.
Imagine a straight fight between Tinubu and Atiku (without Obi), how many states would Tinubu win in the SE or SS? Even the North sef would turn on Tinubu and support their son.
I still give the edge to Atiku but a strong Obi showing affects him the most.
