At times I feel as if Nigerian doctors/specialist use one’s case to experiment and learn new things …. Like trial and error .

It gets crazy when u take a patient from one specialist hospital to the other and the new hospital asks u to discontinue drugs prescribed by old hospital to use theirs . U just look at ur patient and feel emotional about the whole stuff and what they are going through psychologically.

One of my colleagues has had case of using HMO hospital where doctor didn’t even test him and was so sure all the symptoms were for malaria and he started treating malaria only for his condition to get worse before they now run test as recommended by another doctor on duty and test result said it was infection.

Na why I no dey blame anybody wey dey try everything to get out of this country
Lack of access to proper investigation facilities makes even good doctors look incompetent.

2 scenarios.

1) A 60yr old patient comes to me with mild to moderate Right iliac fossa pain for several weeks. I don’t think it is appendicitis so I send him for blood tests and a CT scan (all covered by Medicare so he pays nothing). It confirms that it is not appendicitis but an inflammation of the Caecum (close to the appendix).

He is placed on antibiotics and bowel rest and feels better. After an appropriate rest time of about 6 weeks he is sent for a colonoscopy which shows that the reason he had the infection was because of a cancer that was growing in his intestine. The cancer is taken out early and he recovers fully.

2) In Nigeria that same patient can’t afford CT so the doctors don’t know the caecum is the problem. They might go ahead to take out the appendix and give him antibiotics which might make him feel better but the cancer that was the original problem is not discovered. Or maybe he can afford the CT and antibiotic treatment but can’t afford the colonoscopy. Either way the cancer keeps growing and maybe spreads to his bones or other organs before it is discovered.

It is not like the first set of doctors are better, but na condition make crayfish bend.

So sorry about your relative.

When he arrived in Luth having being referred from Lautech teaching hopsital, the doctors in Luth told us he may not make it. His was cancer of the bone marrow. He was really lucky.
He has to be incredibly vigilant. Those types often try to come back. Cancer is the nastiest thing possible.

I lost a close relative to prostate issues last quarter . We spent millions yet he didn’t make it despite seeing different specialists for close to a year and half . Everybody just dey broke anyhow during the period .

Believe me , making money and spending it on sickness/ailment is not a good thing at all. It will not only drain one financially but also emotionally and psychologically.
Sickness that will wipe away savings, property, gratuity, pension, before still taking the person’s life. And there is little to no help from the Nigerian government.

The Nigerian people have been held hostage, but they don’t realise it. Those politicians are just obtaining and chancing us like hoodlums do on the streets to JJCs.

Who has seen recent pictures of the COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo?

Omo! I shock and find it hard to believe he's the one until I saw his church posted same pictures and confirmed he's in Manchester for his church program.

@afrodoc2 are there medical conditions that can make one age so fast and at the same time the person emanciate like this?
There are several conditions that can cause this, chief of them being any of the hundreds of cancers.

Yep. Nothing special about the guy.

He's just another low budget Lampard/Gerrard Regen CM England have been producing lately. Just run and work rate, without know how to do an actual midfielders job og controlling midfield and dictating game tempo. All they do is run, dribble and score some goals. The likes of Dele Alli and Lingard do pass all these ones in their prime and we all could still smell their bulshit from miles away. I'm always getting the same vibes with guys like Mason Mount and Bellingham
I will just leave Mason Mount to continue to pose a problem to Chelshit fans. Outside work rate and set piece delivery I have not seen much from him.

Mejbri has a higher ceiling than Bellingham in my opinion. He just has to channel his attitude in the right direction.

Omo e red. Make we calm down look wetin we wan buy wella.
Bellingham is a runner. He does not do much to control possession or tempo. He is very good at what he does, but what he does is not really how ETH plays his CMs.

He is more subtle edition of Dele Alli. He plays nothing like FDJ or Eriksen in terms of progressing the ball from deep, passing through lines, helping to control possession.

It’s not new. Saw him make the same mistakes at Barca too. It’s as if he’s got too much stuff on his mind.
There is no perfect player. You can't be careless in possession and be averaging 90% pass accuracy every season.

I don't like the FDJ I've seen so far sha. He's too careless with possession for my liking.
His pass success percentage for his career is about 91%. For his career!
This season's Champion's League he averaged 88.8%. Last season 89.6%

Another example of not using 1-2 tournament games to judge a player. Carelessness in possession is not one of FDJ's problems.

Now watch the wonder Bellingham will perform tonight..I pray the takeover happens really quick. Let's splash the cash.
I don’t know why I don’t trust that Bellingham.
If Dortmund is going to ask for mad money we had better look elsewhere. The same club can’t swindle us 4 times.

We should go for FDJ and develop Mejbri, Mainoo, Iqbal. FDJ is cheaper and better, and more suited to ETH’s style.

Told Afrodoc2 that Gakpo strikes the ball as cleanly as MG11 did but Doc remained an infidel.

Get this man to Old Trafford. The price of the brick is pushing higher with every minute he plays.
He does not strike the ball as well as Greenwood.

Greenwood that I saw score long range free kicks with both right and left foot.

That you can shoot with both feet does not mean you are as good as everybody else. Gakpo’s finish was very good though.

I don't ever think ASUU demands are discreet. Yes, they are not printing fliers, but i think it is always bare for whoever wants to know

I doubt if Ngige, Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, Buhari's kids are in any school here. So imagine if you go on strike when they are in power. Why should they lose their sleep, when it does not personally affect them?

At least, our doctors began to have sense and decided to Japa. No need for any unnecessary strike. Move to a country that you'll be appreciated.

It was after one of those strikes in which the populace were still blaming doctors despite several press conferences and TV/Radio interviews, that I decided to japa.

Even my landlord was stylishly blaming us, and was asking me the JAMB questions that he should have been asking the government. Nigerians are very gullible and easily misled.

If you like print flyer and insert it into people’s brains, they will still blame the striking workers.

When Iran beat the USA in 1998 Wales had not qualified for the World Cup in 40yrs, and they didn’t qualify for another 24yrs. That is 64yrs without getting to the World Cup.

All European countries are not created equal.

On paper Wales look better than Iran. And considering the fact that Iran swallowed 6 morsels of goals from an above average England side, you can’t but expect Wales to come out on top.

Their win isn’t as significant as the other two but it’s still unexpected nonetheless.
I don’t think so. It’s just that Wales have names that are known from the EPL. Azmoun is better than any Wales player not named Bale, and even Bale sef na ogbon agba e dey use. Tank don empty.
None of the Wales players has any real technique. Once you crowd them over na to turn the ball over. They play like a championship side. What they have is agidi and ishan. After that, nothing else.

Meanwhile several of the Iranian players have decent technique. They can actually have quick interplay of passes without vomiting the ball like a babe who has not seen her period.

Iran beat Wales. Japan beat Germany. Saudi defeated Argentina.

The playing ground is becoming even.

We might get a non European or American winner of the World Cup sooner than we imagine.
Wales is a nobody. I am not surprised Iran beat them. Iran has been qualifying for World Cup and giving the occasional good performance for years while Wales went decades without getting to the World Cup. This is actually their second ever tournament and they lack technical players.

Japan and Saudi on the other hand really did kill giants.

Mbappe has to keep scoring 40 club goals per season for the next 11-12 seasons in order to catch Ronaldo and Messi.

He doesn’t have Messi’s natural ability and doesn’t have Ronaldo’s psychopathic drive and discipline.

For someone whose game is so much dependent on acceleration it won’t be easy for him to keep scoring 40 goals per season until 34-35.

The one thing you are guaranteed with Arab money is spending cash after cash to buy the best players in order to win titles.
A company like Apple will look at the bottom line first rather than hunting for glory the way Arabs do.

Jim Ratcliffe is not rich enough to spend the money we need, and even though Amancio Ortega is rich enough he is an aka gum by nature.
