Full time, the Dennis penalty for the 10th was the last kick of the game.

With More luck - and better finishing - Osimhen could've had like three hattricks.
Those guys dey vex me.

I already had tickets to watch Nigeria's games at the World Cup only for them to fumble against Ghana. Na so FIFA invalidate my tickets. That was the first time i understood the meaning of "my ticket cut".

Yekini no score like Cr7 ,his record is so easy to break ,yakubu would have broken yekini record if not for some issues that he stopped playing for the national team

Osimhen have 12 goals in 21 appearance and dude is still just 23 years of age ,he would break yekini records
Aiyegbeni had ZERO chance of breaking it. He played for 12 years and retired from the team at the African age of 30. Based on his scoring average he would have needed to play 44 more games after the African age of 30 to equal Yekini.

Osimhen has a good chance of breaking it but like i said one can never be sure about these things..

Don't be so sure. He still has a long way to go. The record is 37.

A united fan once said here that time " You'll think Guendozi is a terrible player if you don't watch football". This was after reading several posts here on how that boy is the reason everything went bad for Arsenal.

Infact you dare not praise or say anything positive about him else, you'll be receive loads of back lash.
You priase him they will twist things and say you're calling him the next Iniesta,Pirlo and Cesc.
The problem is that people don’t think of future but like everything now. I am one person that always believes in giving a young footballer a chance especially if the talent is there.

All the things that seemed difficult to McTominay for instance appeared to come so easily to Guen whenever I watched him, and those things are the basics of playing CM.
Knowing where to move to to receive the ball, ability to receive the ball on the half turn, passing the ball to your full back just in front of him so he takes it in his stride rather than passing it straight to his feet.

The mistakes he made like romancing the ball too much like breast, petulant fouls, poor defensive positioning were errors that he was bound to eliminate or reduce from his game with increasing experience.

But I watched him only occasionally and had to conclude that those who watched him regularly had more data on him. The truth is that the guy is still going to keep getting better for the next 3-4 years unless he has bad luck with injuries or his attitude is off like Adrien Rabiot.

My position is not new about our coaching but right now, Arteta should be allowed to get the players he wants.

I don’t think Arteta can manage Guen, we know his disposition about certain type of players. There is no need trying to bring Guen back only to end up on the bench or banished from the first team because he is opinionated.

You have to understand that Guen has a lot of things going for him right now. He is making the Les Bleus national team and if he continues will be at the World Cup. He is going to play in the UCL next season, which means more exposure. He is playing in his homeland and is very comfortable with his manager, J. Sampaoli who has helped Guen mature and get better in expressing himself on and off the pitch.

So, why should he leave all of these positives and stability to join Arsenal in the EL, fight with coach when he chooses to air his opinion, get benched and then lose out on making the World Cup? You have to remember he is no longer that 19 year old we signed from Lorient. He now has a lot of experience and that comes with even more voice.

Baba that ship has sailed. I hope we can find 2 quality midfielders and a good striker, we can’t field the same quality in both positions like we did last season.
Lol this case dey pitiful. I almost went to buy spectacles to improve my eyesight after seeing the way people attacked the boy when he was in the EPL.
Looked like a can’t miss talent to me that just needed time to mature and a bit of luck but people that watched him on a daily basis said he was no good.
I don’t see why he would want to come back. Chance of making the World Cup squad and also Arsenal fans weren’t too kind to him.

Afrodoc2 and ChristineC, I don't think we can risk going for prospects now. Even South American talents don't come cheap anymore since the time of Neymar. Now, you'd find talents from South American going for over 40-50m...

I don't consider the likes of Bissouma, Neves and co as hidden talents that need a scout to discover.

For now, I think the scouts are focused on identifying players for the academy...

As for the willingness of the board to spend, the fact that we are quoted as willing to pay over 80m for FDJ suggest the board are willing ho stump the cash...There's talk of Timber and Anthony so, that's over 150m if completed...

I am sure that we will sign a LB and possibly an CM assuming we get the already rumored targets...I think ETH might settle for Martial or Rashford as a CF...
Yeah. You do make good points. The scouts can go for the academy players while the manager identifies who he wants from more known players.

In terms of board readiness I said so because I keep hearing that they won’t spend more than 150m (not sure if Euro or pounds).

I am not passing any judgement until the window ends. They should just know that they have to support the new manager with very good buys. All this talk about him being able to work wonders with the current squad is alarming. His name is Eric ten Hag not Prof Peller.

I asked a United group this same question. these are all known names. perhaps there's some other technical research or data scrutinized but basically anybody constantly watching can see what they are so about.

I think enquiries were earlier made for Bruno Neves as well. I like his style, he's also the right age and I'm sure he'd be open for the move. I don't know why we backed out.
It seems the board does not really want to spend huge money.

When one considers the number of players leaving, the number of established and upcoming clubs fighting for Top 4, and the fact that we have a new manager I expect a transfer budget of at least 200m pounds.

You hit rock bottom and you find yourself for Europa League, but you think you don't need to convince any player to come join a team that's been disjointed for years now huh?

For any player coming to United now, that's a risk to his career considering how shitty we've been over the past years.

Whatever acquisitions are made would definitely be an upgrade to what we currently have in that pathetic midfield angry

Hopefully as the transfer windows go by, we'll upgrade from the use of Shaw and Maguire in that defense.

As for AWB, a case can be made for him because he's good at a defensive aspect at least.

If that midfield problem can be solved in this TW, that'd be a huge statement of intent.

And before I forget, if you ever called Shaw 'Shawberto Carlos' kindly tender your apology cos Mou was right all along cheesy
It is like you don’t know the manager. Dalot will be starting ahead of AWB and there is a big chance that we offload AWB this transfer window if any reasonable offer comes.

Firstly he sounds like a lukaku, very bad first touch always wanting the ball in front of him and a counter attack merchant. I'm happy we didn't go for him though, but he might fit klopp's system of high energy counter pressing and counterattack. And lastly he's goals are far higher than he's XG, smells
one season wonderish. With the price tag? Bruhhh

While we are busy studying and observing and thinking, Liverpool don snatch Nunez.

This club is a joke.
What is your assessment of Darwin Nunez? Do you know much about him? I am always reluctant to go all in after 1 season of form in a player. I must confess though that I have only seen highlights of his games.

The guy was insisting he wanted to go to a team in the Champion’s League and with that fee of about 80m Euro plus add ons I don’t think we were ever seriously in the running.

I however understand you from the point of view of us still waiting for our first transfer to be completed.

Make Ten Haag use him head ooo
60 million Euro is not a bad fee. That’s about 51m pounds and we paid 50m pounds for AWB.

Most of those add ons will only kick in if he plays well anyway.

You are wrong.

I can recall vividly that the major reason I told my friends not to expect anything fantastic from Buhari was because of his health issues.
This was BEFORE the first election when everybody was expecting him to come with a magic wand and transform Nigeria.

Maybe you didn’t know about his health issues but they existed even then. The only thing is they have obviously progressed and gotten much worse, as Tinubu’s will eventually.

This is not the best way to sell your Candidate keep doing your selfless service for PO and Nigeria at large, and let them do theirs.

Why are you bothered with his Posts? He has right as you to support as he wishes. Attacking him won't stop him, rather energise him more.

Keep doing your good job, who knows, ibime, nihilistjnr, Raumdeuter, afrodoc2, airmark, popizaino and Co may eventually decide to return home, get their PVCs and proudly queue under the Sun or in the rain, to cast their votes for PO.

The reason why we had cabals running the country is simply because Buhari is not a smart politician. At some point, the cabals began to interfere with the work of his ministers and other appointees, dishing out instructions here and there...In fact, it got so bad that they existed different cabals...

One thing I know Tinubu does well is that he steers the ship himself with advise from a trusted few however they'll never be as power as the cabal under Buhari.

Another thing about him is that he will get the best hands on board and give them the opportunity to bring their experience to bare...

All these things are true for a healthy Tinubu. I am not sure he will be able to withstand the rigors of establishing a thriving federal government by that time.
