I have been criticizing the players for years. It is you guys that used to blame one group and absolve the other group entirely e.g You were part of OleOut when i told you guys the players were also useless. I am consistent but you blamed the players during Mourinho's tenure, blamed Ole during his tenure, and now blaming Rangnick. You are the one to stay in one place na.

Rangnick has been blasting these players indirectly for the past 1 week or so. He knows they'll probably say fvck it and get trashed against arsenal but man doesn't care anymore.

We still need to go all out for a RWF and possibly a CF (I don't see Ronaldo settling for a place in the Europa or Conference league)...

Depending on what Ten Hag thinks of Rashford and Martial, we might end up signing at least 3 forward players...

In all, I think some changes will be made but I still think some of this players will be here next season as I don't see us signing up to 7-8 players come summer...

You are right. One crucial question apart from HOW MANY PLAYERS will leave is WHICH PLAYERS will leave.

I have no idea how this transfer window will go but i suspect 2 or 3 players will be promoted from the youth setup to augment 4 or 5 incoming players.

I am not defending the players, I just struggle to understand why all the blame is on the players when the manager is the driver of the bus. We have not made any improvement since he came, we are worse off sef. Even things were not this bad under Ole. Of course, there were a few hiccups along the way, but he recovered even though we did not win any trophies.

Rauf is not a good manager, he’s got no history and he is a talkative.

The same players that came 2nd under Mourinho suddenly became useless and packed it in the next season and got him sacked by Christmas.
If the season was under a new manager people would have said the new manager was bad and that we should have kept Mourinho.

The same players that went on several weeks winning run under interim manager Ole suddenly went on several weeks losing run under permanent manager Ole. If it had been a different manager that was appointed permanent manager people would have said we should have kept Ole as manager.

The same players that came 2nd under Ole became crap next season and got him sacked by Christmas (despite adding a potential GOUT, a world class defender, and a highly rated talent).
If it was under a new manager people would have said we should have stuck with Ole.

These players are professional coach killers. If you decide to still be deceived by them you are O.Y.O.
And if ten Hag decides to stick with most of them as the core of his team then he too will chop breakfast.

You were listening to the hype of godfather because you never really followed his teams, I watched his teams closely for several years and don’t have to rely on those hyping him as a godfather. They play in a particular manner, win or lose. I am not talking about winning trophies or even winning games but the style of play.

Useless talkative that has not done nothing to the team. The way we play is just so bad, that a relegation team that scored only 8 away goals all season managed to score 2 against us within minutes, and they were going to score more sef.

This is not just about the players, it is not about exposing what Utd have become, it’s about a useless manager that knows nothing!

I would have given this more credence if it was a totally unknown manager. Or if the players you are talking about did not have a history of suddenly going on prolonged crappy runs out of the blue. Has happened at least 3 times in the past few years ( Mourinho sack season, Ole after permanent appointment, Ole sack season).

In all his clubs he has been able to implement his exciting pressing style. That is, until he met our diva players. I have always followed the Bundesliga closely and this is the first time in almost 2 decades that a Ralf teams is playing such disjointed football.

He might not be a great coach but his history everywhere else suggests he is at least a decent one. It is funny that you are trying to defend the same players that followed up 2nd place with sack for Ole just a few years after following 2nd place with sack for Mourinho. Sacrificing coaches is in these players’ DNA.

2) No triangular passing

3) No passing between the lines

Another good thing is that Ten Hag is the first team manager and not coach so, he will be extensively involved in deciding who comes, goes and whose services will be needed (contract extension)...Exciting times ahead.

I have not heard any news on Greenwood. He surely is not playing this season and probably never again for the club. The boy should be allowed to tackle the charges and fight to ensure his freedom first. Football is secondary for now.

Levitt is doing well in the Scottish premier league. The question mark with him is lack of size and strength. Technically he is good enough. It would be interesting to see what ten Hag decides at the end of preseason with regards to the large number of young players on loan and in the academy. They are playing 2 games in my city so hopefully i will be there.

1) He is a young player coming into a dysfunctional team. A situation that even seasoned and established stars are struggling in.

2) He has played most of the time out of position as apart from Rashford he is probably the most left sided of our wingers. Even in the youth team the guy was not good on the right. I am actually surprised he has done as well as he has.

Let us see how he does when the team has better structure and coaching. He might not be good enough but in this team almost anybody would struggle.

I have read all the replies to my post, and i concur with some of the submissions. However i still believe Rafiu was the wrong choice as Interim Manager, he should have been made DOF instead. Well let's see how the clear out would be, Rafiu said plenty tinz i like before the Liverpool game. Due to the nature of our owners these struggles are actually welcome.

If we had gotten an interim manager that somehow got us Top 4 or made the team look good they would have approached appointing the new manager the way they approached appointing Ole.

They would have gone to the negotiation table with pride and rejected ten Hag and gotten a yes man. It was their new found humility borne of the current predicament that allowed them to allegedly acquiesce to ten Hag's demands during the protracted discussions.

1) The manager has to be more powerful than the players
2) The players should be bought mainly for footballing reasons that align with the manager’s philosophy
3) The management, support staff and squad have to be rebuilt from scratch.

P.S With regards to his coaching , 15 yrs of decent/good coaching can’t be trumped by his 4 months here when we know this set of players are notorious for packing it in.

If ten Hag is not given authority to hire and fire players and this set of players are left with the power that they have we won’t fare much better.

People keep mentioning how long it took Klopp to rebuild Liverpool. That Liverpool squad was nowhere close to this one. And the budget they could work with each transfer window can't be compared with the one available to United.

Loan Rashford and Mctom to Newcastle, sell Martial at any price (just get him off the books), release Cavani, SELL Maguire, sell or release Bailey and Jones, Promote at least 10 exciting talented youth players.

I don't think we have 10 youth players ready to contribute significantly by next season. Don't forget also that they need to play regular football to continue their development.
