nitrogen: Afrodoc, I remember we had discussed the level of debt at Utd vs Chelsea at some point, and I said that some clubs have more debt vs Utd, but we don’t see it because of the structures they’ve adopted.
Utd’s debt today is less than 500m while Chelsea is owing over 1.5 billion pounds……and apparently, Abramovich wants his money. This is delaying the takeover transaction. Who doesn’t know that Chelsea has huge debt? The difference between how Chelsea incurred their debt and how ours came about is key. See I don’t have much energy to start rehashing pages on pages of debates. The records of how you defended the Glazers and Ed Woodward at every juncture are there for all to check. Whenever I criticised the Glazers you defended them by default. Whenever I criticised Woodward you defended him by default. Now everybody has come to realise that Woodward with the full backing of the Glazers was running a banana republic. If you think the Glazers and Woodward were great for the club, congratulations. |

BlueRayDick: Has anybody here been able to change Raumdeuter's view that Hazard is more than shakushaku master? Or has anybody been able to convince him Van Djik is actually a good defender despite his habitual finger pointing ?
Like I said, most people who change their religious views because of such arguments only did so because they've always have those doubts for a long time, the arguments only amplified the doubts and they become bold enough to damn the consequences . . You are actually buttressing his point. The debates/arguments are not to convince Dayo or the pro-Hazard fans but for the many undecided and fence-sitting ones. Pro-Hazard will never agree. Anti-Hazard will never agree. But those in the middle can be swayed. |

So, according to him, she should be caught by the mob and taken to the court, where she must be killed for blasphemy.
So the problem is not that she was killed. He only faults how she was killed. It's barbaric, disgusting and inhumane. Beheading her in a competent Sharia court is better

If people don’t bridle their tongues is it right for them to be killed? And should the same punishment be imposed on muslims when they don’t bridle their tongues about other religions? The focus here indeed is religious intolerance like you have alluded to, not on the part of the poor girl that was burnt but her school mates that murdered her. That should be your focus not unbridled tongues. And you should be intelligent enough to know this. Anything short of this and you are nothing but a terrorist apologist in sheep’s clothing. |

GloryIsaac: Same here. Way everyone talked about it, one’ll think they finished Nottingham Forest. They didn’t play up to their usual standard, partly because of the pressure on them and partly because of the tactics employed by the Forest manager (Warren Joyce) who is an ex-United youth coach. I suspected the pressure would be huge cos there more people there than the capacity of all the other premier league club stadia apart from Old Trafford. And not ordinary fans only, SAF and current players and even club legends were there. Secondly Joyce used a 3 man back line and packed his midfield with physically imposing players. They then pressed us at the back which limited our ability to play out at the back with Vitek our ball playing goalie. We then had to resort to long balls since Vitek and his defenders were pressed so hard. Unfortunately our most advanced players McNeill the no9 and Hansen-Aaroen the no10 are not built for aerial balls. This was what took the game out of our hands as Gore and Mainoo the 6 and 8 were limited to mop up duty. Second half our manager removed McNeill for Hugill who can hold up the ball better to try to improve things but it was until Oyedele (who is quite a bully) came in for Hansen-Aaroen to play the 6 (thereby sliding Gore up to 8 and Mainoo up to 10) that we finally had control of the game. |

You keep bringing up this argument as if we all don't know if we judge by modern standards the likes of Kobe, Tmac and Ai so called midrange masters will be called inefficient shooters. The only wing player in history who shot the midrange at an efficient percentage is MJ and that is the whole list Not only MJ. Bernard King was a quiet midrange killer. And very efficient too. Your general premise on 3 vs 2 is right though as teams become more proficient at shooting and guarding 3s it opens up potential real estate for a midrange expert. |

Android22: I am insinuating that huge investments over multiple years is what is needed to make up for the lacuna created between traditionally smaller clubs and their bigger counterparts. United, by the way, have spent more than City since Ferguson left and United is still a bigger club than City. If you know this then what was the point of that table you posted if not to insinuate that City's investments were not heavier than that of other clubs? |

Android22: How much will Newcastle need to spend to compete with City and Liverpool? Who knows. But it seems to me that you are insinuating that they would have to outspend their rivals heavily to catch up which in essence is what City did, and which is a tacit admission on your part that the table you posted is spurious. City outspent their rivals HEAVILY to get to their position. Newcastle would have to do the same, and i don't have any problem at all with either of them. Arab money is authentic money. |

Android22: The point there is that all big clubs spend money. It is not Coutinho money that brought Konate and Luis Diaz. Some scousers don't know that so someone has to educate them. But in 5 years less City has spent double Arsenal and spent 300m more than Liverpool and Man Utd. Only Chelsea is on City's level in spending but City did it in 5 less years. Imagine spending years in Championship and League One and still outspending perennial EPL clubs like United, Liverpool, Arsenal to the tune of between 300m-700m pounds? E no shock you? There are other ways to support your argument but that table you put up there no enter. |

Android22: City ruining football since 1992. The fact that City spent 5 seasons in that period in the lower divisions but are still up there in money spent tells its own story. I am not of the opinion that City are ruining football but that stat there is very misleading. City has spent 5 less seasons in the EPL and they have spent nearly double what Arsenal has spent and 300m more than moneybags like United and Liverpool. |

How dare you say spidey was not marketable. It’s because of how things turned out o. Go back and check my posts on him. I didn’t really watch Palace so I didn’t know about him but some people here were hyping him for sliding tackles and benching TFM. I warned them it will end in tears. The receipts are there. TrebleChamp: Was Maguire, Wan Bisaka Fred also signed for commercial purpose? I agree Dablord, Ronaldo, Zlatan and maybe Sanchez were bought for commercial purpose. I would still blame Woodward, cos he was the one running the club. Why did fans attack his home, cos they finally realised he was the one mismanaging the football side of the club. The Glaziers had no reason to sack him, cos he was doing fantastically well generating huge revenue for the club. I blame Woodward for ruining the football side of the club... I don’t understand how you can absolve the Glazers of blame. They are meant to aim for both financial and sporting success. Woodward might take majority of the blame but the Glazers have their share too. Your employer is failing in one of his most important roles but you keep him on for years until the whole club comes tumbling down. ONLY THEN do you end his tenure. Funnily enough i have been criticising Woodward and the Glazers since about 2013-2014 here but anytime I criticised either of them nitrogen and other business magnates will be quick to jump to their defence. At that time Woodward was defended for doing a great job and it was wholly the fault of every successive manager. Now that the shyte has hit the can and there is no hiding place and we need a scape goat we are now hearing it was all Woodward’s fault while the Glazers had nothing to do with it. Maybe if one of them had been smart enough to make the billions instead of just inheriting from daddy they would have been able to identify and curtail Woodward’s limitations. |
