Mrviktor:Phil Neville is not on the coaching team. He is the current coach of the England Women's Team. |
Mrviktor:He has done okay over the last 2 games. If they don’t trust him at RB it’s better he goes to the bench rather than going to CB to cause real trouble. It is not compulsory that he plays. |
So Nigerian soldiers who were not physically at the scene but were only photoshopped into the pictures and videos were actually invited to be at the scene by the state government in order to shoot blank bullets into the air that caused grievous injury to the protesters. In other words, photoshopped soldiers shot blank bullets into the air killing and wounding Nigerians. This would have been extremely funny if it was not worth crying over. |
izzou:Osanobua!!! ![]() |
Mrviktor:Bissaka can’t play that role. No CB slides like that. He marks like the full back that he is. |
timay:Lol na play o. Just having some fun with it. But seriously I think they are in their proper positions. The great unknown is Cavani. How much does he have left in the tank. The movement he showed in his cameo against Chelshit is beyond both Rashford and Martial. |
timay:Absolutely. We can’t keep changing their position every time one of them goes through 1 month of poor form. Although to be fair that Rashford’s poor form was due to his social activism. |
I fit pay post digger to dig out all the lamentations here when Martial was playing on the left wing. Someone that will disappear for 30-45 minutes at a stretch as if he entered black hole. At the same time people were lamenting about Rashford’s poor touch and tunnel vision and how easily our build up play broke down with him at CF. Playing CF is not just about shooting and playing wing is not just about close control dribbling. |
MRTA7:Makes sense. They are both good on the ball though Upamecano looks better in that regards. |
Meanwhile Upamecano quietly served a disasterclass in the 2nd half of last night's game. I read an article from a Bundesliga journalist last season in which he suggested that Konate was the better defender though less lauded. |
patrickmuf:Yeah that is a good call. I would do that as well but not sure of the fitness of Cavani or Tuanzebe. Everybody fit i might actually prefer Cavani to start as well with Greenwood off the bench. |
.........................................................DDG................................................. .......AWB..............Lindelof.....................Maguire.............Shaw...... ...........................................McTom................................................... .................Fred..........................................Pogba.......................... .........................................Bruno..................................................... ........................Greenwood............Rashford............................. |
patrickmuf:Keep the 4-4-2 diamond. Bruno starts and either Pogba or VDB go back to the bench depending on Pogba's fitness. Greenwood and Rashford in attack. Same defense. McTom in for Matic. |
GloryIsaac:First statement was wrong. People blamed social activism. Saying it was the reason for his poor form and he was not focused. Rashford who is practically the most focused player in the whole squad alongside maybe Bruno, McTom. Second statement is like saying because a banker or teacher is temporarily struggling at his place of work he should not help out in church or at the motherless home again even though it has nothing to do with his struggles. After all he is not being paid to help orphans would be your argument. Makes no sense. Third statement is very close to bullying and comes of as self entitled. No matter how much a player is paid he has a right to live his own life the way he deems it fit and he has a right to do the things that makes him happy. A player does not lose the right to being happy just because he is not satisfying YOUR expectations on the field. |
GloryIsaac:So his social activism was not distracting him from playing good football again abi? Cos the claim then was that his poor form was due to him being socially responsible. Now it seems he was just being attacked for the phuck of it. You guys just plucked at the low hanging fruit and decided that since he was not making you happy on the field he should not be happy off it. What you are saying is that once a player is going through poor form he should withdraw from all non-football activities whether it is linked to his poor form or not. And that is ridiculous. The club that pays his salary was smart to know that not only were his off the field activities not responsible for his poor play but they also gave the club great PR. Fans should learn to keep their noses out of the personal lives of players as long as they are not carrying out activities that are illegal or that affect their on the field performance. Rashford’s life was not created to entertain you or make you happy. EOD |
GloryIsaac:So his social activism is not affecting his football again abi? Martial too must be feeding kids secretly. And DDG secretly fed kids for the 2 years he played rubbish for us. Makanaki theory. ![]() |
Leyqute:Bruno gets it. He understands completely what matters and what does not matter. |
DrinkWater10:Manchester senior cup (only teams in the city of Manchester). There are 50 plus cities in England Lancashire cup ( only teams in the county of Lancashire). There are 27 counties in England. Premier League North title. Only 2 divisions, Premier League North and Premier League South. You do the math. 1 CAF cup is worth more than 2 WAFU cups. |
patrickmuf:Garner is the most favored by the top brass at the club. He stagnated a bit over the last year but can surely do a job here down the line. In particular someone like McTom should watch out. Garner is basically McTom with a passing range. Mejbri is the new golden boy but his temperament is bad. Has struggled to dominate the under-23s the way he dominated the under-18s BUT he is still 17. Levitt is 6 months older than Galbraith and when he was around Galbraith could not break into the midfield trio of Levitt, Garner, Gomes. Since they left however he has shone amongst less talented/mature teammates. Galbraith is basically Levitt+Garner( but less defensive tenacity than Garner and less passing range than Levitt). Importantly Levitt for some reason does not appear to be rated by the club hierarchy. I would say Mejbri, Garner, Galbraith, Levitt in that order. |
nihilistjnr:You no fit hold body for ordinary 6 months? Pastor skimple wey hold boy 6 years no be man like you? |
JayKayMaybachz:Definitely. He also needs a little gym work to be able to utilize his low center of gravity. This team is maybe 1 or 2 players away from seriously challenging for titles. Probably 1 top class quick CB and a mobile CDM with passing range. |
Panther7:Haba Fred's touch is much better. And analyzing his game it looks more like poor concentration to me. Often his 1st touch is actually quite good then his 2nd touch pushes the ball far and he has to stretch or slide. It is infuriating to watch sometimes. Same thing with his passing. He is better at passing between the lines than McTom with his sharp passing but he is also more likely than McTom to misplace a simple sideways pass to an unmarked teammate. In a 4-4-2 he has a natural position as a box box midfielder which makes use of his energy levels and tenacity. And he has to work on his shooting as well. |
TrebleChamp:Fred dey charge like Voltron. If the guy no take time i fit apply for card. But he needs to improve on his first touch and strength on the ball. There were a few times he struggled with the Leipzig press. |
Oasis007:Lai lai. He must stop helping disadvantaged kids because it is affecting his football. Martial who has scored 1 penalty and 1 own goal as well as gotten 1 red card this season must be secretly feeding kids too. What a makanaki theory. |
patrickmuf:Our players are better suited for 4-4-2 diamond. I remember i stated this last week. 4-4-2 diamond allows us field a higher number of our good players IN THEIR BEST POSITIONS. In 4-2-3-1 we don't have a good right wing forward so that is 1 position being used sub-optimally. Our left wing forward Rashford is more of a scorer than a natural creator so that is another position being used sub-optimally. Then crucially our defence has less protection as the 3 forward players don't track back consistently . Our midfield also has less control. With 4-4-2 you can actually field Pogba and Bruno together in their best positions and still have quality on the bench with VDB, Mata. You can play a true strike partnership with Rashford and Martial and still have quality on the bench with Cavani and Greenwood (all playing their natural positions). The weakness is on the flanks as the full backs don't have much help and might face 2 v 1 situations more often than they would like. |
Melvyn11:Tor! Hazard and professional in the same statement. |
hensben:Marcus Rashford 9 champions league goals in 20 games. Eden Ikebe Super 8 champions league goals in 51 games. This life ehn, na mystery. |
DrinkWater10:1) Ole coached reserves while McKenna coached under-18. Apples and oranges. 2) McKenna’s Under-18 team played better football than Ole‘ reserve teams. 3) McKenna’s Under-18 team won a bigger title than Ole’s reserve teams. Not bashing Ole but facts are facts. |
FacundoCruz:Una get bad mouth. Which one be grace of postponed sacking again? ![]() |
Nezzjnr:Oh dear. I hope he gets well soon and hopefully he didn’t infect anybody at the club. |
Lana1:No o. His social activism on behalf of kids is affecting him. |
Fred was immense today. |
