You expect Ole to be rotating GKs between league and UCL?

Or you expect Ole to drop his number one GK in a crucial home match against a tough opponent.

How many clubs have you seen do that ? The norm is for your GK to play both so as to build consistency and understanding with the back line.

If or when DDG is dropped it should be the same as well with Henderson keeping at both EPL and UCL level.

Nobody needed to rile me up when i said Reece James would be a problem at a time many of your fans did not really know or rate him. It was based on an honest observation over watching him for a long time at youth and senior level.

The same way i said Greenwood was better than Hudson-Ode and may of your fans started catching feelings about it when it was also based on observation and analysis over years of watching both.

Rashford MBE being better than Tammy Abraham was another honest observation that rubbed your fans the wrong way but just another honest assessment.

They should calm down and let us live small abeg. Even with the restrictions, my daughter's school has been closed the last 4 weeks due to someone in every class having Covid. Instead of sending the infected person home, they send the whole class home till every class in the school was sent home. No playgroup activities open for the children, no football lessons, no swimming lessons etc make dem burn energy. This Covid done turn man into full time babysitter, man just want rest. I still have 3 weeks annual leave to take before December, I'm just waiting till both kids are at school before I take one week and just rest without having to chase after kids, now dem dey talk about another lockdown. It is a tough one. With the kids at home all day every day but luckily i get to go to work during the week and escape the mayhem at home.

Imagine with 10-20 new cases every day people were restricted to 5km radius from home. Could go out only 1 time for exercise and for food.
Now it is only 1 new case in the last 24hrs and people are still restricted to 25km radius although you can go out any number of times now.

If there is no vaccine in sight then these draconian restrictions don't make sense IMO.

However, we don’t have the personnel to effectively execute that formation. It requires the full backs to provide width and we know how poor AWB and Shaw are in that area.

Apart from refusing to venture forward, they hardly create good chances when they go forward. Pogba can hardly cover for his FB but he’s trying.

I think switching formations during games will help both the players and manager improve. 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2, 5-3-2.

Yeah it is not perfect but i think it is a better starting formation than 4-2-3-1 that becomes rubbish immediately Rashford or Greenwood is injured and we start depending on Mata or James.

With regards to the full backs Telles would be the ideal LB in the formation with Shaw dropping to the bench. We have to use AWB until we get a better RB.

Also i do agree that we should be able to switch formation if need be to face a specific kind of opponent but i think the 4-4-2 while not perfect is the best formation we have for now.

Eden Hazard + Vinicius + Rodrygo (190 million Euro) = 10 goals in 90 league games combined.


Mason Greenwood (0 Euro) = 10 goals in 38 league games.


Even Benzema had to come out and confess that Vinicius was a short one, telling Ferland Mendy "don't pass to him brother, he is playing for the other team"

Wish he was played more centrally and less to the wings. He sure knows how to evade CBs and score goals. His first against RB Leipzig attests to this.

Surely he will learn more off-ball movements from Cavani but I’d prefer he gets more time in that role. Not as a starter, but maybe due to a tweak in formation or something

I was never a fan of 4-4-2 however this formation is the formation that gets us to use the highest number of our good players and also make wholesale substitutions and changes without a big drop off in quality.
This is because it makes use of midfielders and strikers which we have plenty of instead of wingers which we have almost none of.

ST: Martial and Rashford. We can switch to Cavani or Greenwood with quality maintained.

Base of the diamond: McTominay. We can use Matic or even use Fred as a last resort.

Left side of the diamond: Pogba. We can use Fred there or even VDB if forced to.

Right side of the diamond: Fred. We can use Pogba there, or McTominay, or VDB, or Bruno.

Tip of the diamond: Bruno. We can use VDB, Pogba, or even Mata there.

This formation withstands injuries and loss of form the best.

He has been playing as a RWF though. Play him closer to goal in attack as part of a front 2 and it would be more difficult to keep him from scoring.

A little although Greenwood is faster than people think. But remember that against teams that park the bus there would be no space to use the speed anyway, so it would be all about movement and finishing inside the box.

Tuanzebe? OGS didn't say anything wrong about him. I believe he's fit and ready to go. I trust him to matching Auba toe to toe, same as Lacs or anyone Arsenal plays upfront. He can't be bullied coz he's as strong as Ox.

If Arsenal sit back Cavani’s ability to find space in the box through his movement would be important.

One combo that we should try in subsequent games against bus parking teams is Cavani and Greenwood. Our 2 best box movers and finishers together.

Fred, Rashford, Bruno, AWB in that order.


Fred has not had a bad game and has been excellent in a number of games. He is another player ( just like Pogba) whose game benefits from the 4-4-2 diamond as it utilizes his best traits while minimizing his worst ones.

Rashford has been very clinical in front of goal and looks to be returning to his normal level in terms of taking people on and runs in behind. Playing as part of 2 man attack also suits his game best.

Bruno has just been Bruno. Always head up looking to put in passes behind. Always aware of what really matters in the big picture.

AWB pocketed Neymar and Mbappe, scored a cracker of a goal and has shown some improvement in terms of ball retention.

If I choose Fred, some will think it's because I like him. But honestly he came in to replace Pogba in that position and the team has been more solid and balanced. Rashford has a good shout though
