Should we wait
Just my thoughts ooo We would be waiting for Godot. Mbappe is going to Madrid. There is a reason they didn't spend big this summer despite that fat Chelshitter flopping. |

Nezzjnr: That video was old because he was looking skinny
They should just take a break... Greenwood is 18 with youthful exuberance
They did the same thing with Sterling So maybe he was 16 or 17. When you were 16-18 would you have been foolish enough to allow someone record you inhaling that gas? Assuming you were a public figure. It is not the end of the world for him but anybody who is willing to just ignore the signs and say it is just youthful exuberance would be way off the mark. These are all signs that he needs someone to guide and mentor him. There is a reason Rashford did not have these problems when he broke through. |

Chrisus: It’d be interesting to see how - or if - he picks himself up from these controversies. It’ll be a real test of character. In terms of his football i don't think he will struggle in the short term. The activities he has been caught doing if viewed in isolation are not really a problem. However when you tally them them up you start seeing what looks like a pattern of poor judgement, and that poor judgement is the major problem cos there will be times in the future when his judgement (or lack thereof) will be crucial in his personal and professional life. |

Nezzjnr: Mason is in the news again
They are hell bent on ruining his career He is doing a good job of it himself. Journalists did not force him to invite girls over breaking quarantine in a foreign country. Journalists did not force him to allow himself to be recorded inhaling a gas that has the potential to cause brain damage or at least render you unconscious. As these things keep adding up you have to start asking if he has the intelligence or discipline to fulfill his potential. |

GloryIsaac: The striker deficit is actually a huge problem at the club. Doesn’t look like it’ll be solved anytime soon, since they’re comfortable with versatile players. They are loading the under-18s with attackers so hopefully in about 3 years a couple of them might be ready. And the scouting has been extensive and top notch too......at least on paper. McNeil was scoring loads of goals at under-16 level. Aaroen was highly rated in Norway. Mejia scored 60 goals last year in Spain and everybody wanted him. Garnacho is also highly rated from Atletico. |

GloryIsaac: What?! Is that a typo? Currently the only under-23 striker Mellor is injured however we have about 7-8 under-18 forwards who can play various roles. Elanga Hoogewerf Emeram Mejia Soretire And the new guys Hansen-Aaroen, Garnacho, McNeil. Nobody in under-23 and and so many in under-18 forwards. The only way for everybody to get minutes would be maybe for Elanga and Hoogewerf to move permanently to under-23. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 9:55am On Sep 12, 2020 |
GloryIsaac: What?! Is that a typo? Nah. The season before McTom broke through he had to play CF for the reserves. Remember that James Wilson and Will Keane were always injured. The next in line Ashley Fletcher had gone on loan. The next after that Rashford had unexpectedly broken through to the senior team. So the under-23s had no strikers and were playing striker by committee. Often it was McTom, other times Demi Mitchell or even Matty Willock. |

GloryIsaac: United is actually running on a striker deficit, even at Under-23 level. Wow
Nezzjnr, this might be your opportunity to take the big stage Yes. Same thing happened when Rashford was promoted to the senior team and McTominay had to be striker for under-23. In this case Greenwood was promoted, Bohui and Burkhart left the club, and Mellor has an ACL injury. |

OGS might give him few opportunities in the 1st team so he can develop
Bojan was playing alongside power horses in Barca den He has a point. Any decent player can look good playing Under-14 and Under-16 which are the clips in that video. Let us see him at Under-18 first before we know what he is all about. |

Bojan was playing alongside power horses in Barca den 1st team ke? He will spend most of this season playing Under-18. Most of his experience is at Under-16 level. Even at Under-18 Dillion Hoogewerf, Mateo Mejia, and Noam Emeram are probably ahead of him at the moment although the lack of Under-23 strikers might mean that at least one of them (likely Dillion would be fast tracked to Under-23. McNeil looks like no 10 might be his best position though. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 2:54pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
CapitalCee: They need one more competent CB, Keane, Mina and Holgate are not too good to push for top 4. Their fullbacks meanwhile can be compared to any top team. Sidibe and Digne are very good.
As for wingers, Bollasie is coming back, they have Sigurdsson, Walcott and Iwobi, these people have experience of big team mentality.
Pickford - Good CB; Keane/Holgate/Mina; Digne; Sidebe - Dacoure; James; Allan- Sigurdsson; Calvert-Lewin; Richarlison. This is not a shabby line up Bolasie is 31 and has been finished for 4 years. Walcott is a 31yr old one direction speed merchant. Sigurdsson is also 31 and past his peak. What they have is a solid midfield, good full backs and the Calvert-Lewin/Richarlison combo which works fairly well. They have a Europa League level squad and won't threaten the top 4. |

It's unfortunate how quickly things can change with some of these players. Makes you wonder what would happen if we went all out to bring him at that price when mourinho (ironically), was demanding for him. Mental health is something that does not get enough attention. Poor mental health is as limiting if not more so than physical injury. |

timay: One of the reasons I respect Scholes and Giggs. And that is why they could play till very old football age , because they play with their heads. That's why I'm also happy that Rashford is adapting his game, cos from the look of things, he might never become that runny Rashford again because of that back injury Yeah. Scholes was never fast or athletically gifted anyway. Giggs was the one that had to refashion his game after his hamstrings started betraying him in his mid to late 20s. Luckily he could fall back on his intelligence and passing ability and extend his game for another 10 years. |

timay: That's English players for you. They always tend to believe their own hype He suffered a bad knee injury 2 years ago that finished him. His game was built on athleticism not intelligence or technique so any loss of physical ability is sure to cause a major drop. The same thing would happen to full backs like Kyle Walker, Alfonso Davies et al, especially if close to 30. |

Nezzjnr: I think their main job is to get Young players for the Youth team below the age of 19 or thereabout which they've been doing
OGS and his backroom staffs should be the one looking for players for the first team Dead wrong. Scouts scout both youth and senior team players. So with 50 something scouts you expect Ole and his few managers to be training the senior team and still be closely watching leagues all round the world? Ole might notice a number of players in the international stage but the person whose primary duty it is to bring players (both youth and senior) to the attention of the manager is the scout. That is how we got Forlan, Chicharito, Vidic and several others. |

Personally, I think since her testosterone's level is ENTIRELY NATURAL which of course increases her endurance, she shouldn't not be denied participation from long distance races.
Take for instance, even within men, some people's natural ability clearly put them ahead when it comes to any competition - be it rugby, football, basketball etc. You don't deny participation because of that as it will amount to injustice. No be them create themselves. "She" has XY chromosomes, hence "she" is actually a "he". She/He should go and compete with the men instead of cheating true genetic females. |

olabode89: I felt so initially but when I read more about the deal i kinda agree with the move. It seems like they are favouring style of play and the manager more than the level of competition. Lee Bowyer and Nicky Butt are mates from their time at Newcastle United.
Also, a steady rise from league one to a top Championship side next season won't be a bad move. I hope you are right. I just don't think League One is of the right standard to use to judge his preparedness. The guy will soon be 20 and is already a Welsh international. Surely they could have found a club in the Championship that also fulfilled whatever conditions they had. |
