simonjassy: I have great respect for you sir but i just pointed that out for the guy brandishing "domination" up and down. Also if i may ask how old was mpabbe when he became a world beater? Your question was ridiculous. Nobody expects players to dominate between 16-18 yrs of age. At age 18 Messi had scored 1 career league goal and age 19 he had scored 7 career league goals. But you expect Cristiano Ronaldo to dominate at 17-18? P.S Didn’t mean to insult you but the question get as e be. I am not even in either camp. Both have their pros and cons. |

hopefulLandlord: Exodus 12:43-45 (NRSV) 43 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: This is the ordinance for the passover: no foreigner shall eat of it, 44 but any slave who has been purchased may eat of it after he has been circumcised; 45 no bound or hired servant may eat of it.
Leviticus 22:10-11 (NRSV) 10 No lay person shall eat of the sacred donations. No bound or hired servant of the priest shall eat of the sacred donations; 11 but if a priest acquires anyone by purchase, the person may eat of them; and those that are born in his house may eat of his food.
These passages show that there is a difference between someone who is hired, someone who is a bonded servant, and someone who is bought, paid for, and owned. These are laws for priests. If the Bible had a problem with people owning other people, why couldn't it at least ban the priesthood from owning slaves? TOUGH! |

Ravioli: When Matic & McTominay play together.. Matic is the DM and McTominay is the CM.
Now, when Fred & McTominay play together.. Fred plays deeper then McTominay. That's DM. Sometimes they interchange cos non of them is a natural Dm, they're just makeshift. If you like you argue After investigating the lineups and heat maps as well as reviewing archival footage. My judgement is that this is the most accurate assessment of the situation. We play a double pivot of 4-2-3-1 which makes determining who is DM very difficult. Matic and anybody = Matic is DM and the other person is CM Pogba and anybody = Pogba is CM and the other person is DM Fred and McTominay = Pure double pivot essentially with Fred covering the left and McTominay covering the right. However in more than half of the games together heat map shows Fred more active in slightly more defensive positions while McTominay more active in slightly more offensive positions. In many of the games it is just too difficult to tell. In double pivot you usually have 2 CDMs and not the obvious division of labour you might see in a 4-3-3 with DM, CM, AM. This is why the same whoscored that said McTominay played DM 19 times and CM 3 times also says Fred played DM 21 and CM 6 times, and Pogba played DM 8 times and 2 sub appearances with 0 appearance as CM. Essentially saying all of them played mainly DM this season and CM very few times. |

Ibime: Drogba was a known penalty misser. His body language was too easy to read. I've seen him miss penalties before that the goalkeeper can easily telegraph from his body language. Tall players don't usually fare well with penalties due to their physiology being easy to read. That's how he missed Ivory Coast chance of glory in AFCON. I was surprised he scored that penalty in Munich TBH. I expected him to miss. Drogba at 81% has higher success rate than Messi 77%, Aguero 78%, Tevez 70% and the same as Suarez. Also some of the most dependable penalty takers have been 6ft and above. The following players are about Drogba’s height or taller. Matt Le Tissier 98% Rickie Lambert 94% Zlatan Ibrahimović 88% Mile Jedinak 100% Cantona >90% |

1. No other option
2. Applying statistical model, he would hv still be in the team even if he played 29 games Nah. This is worse than a polling booth award, more like a beer parlor award. Bruno does not deserve to be in the team of the year after playing 5 out of 29 games. |

iamoyindamola: Proof your 2 and 3 oga LOL. I think the onus is on you to prove your statements. To answer the left foot vs right foot penalty question this is a link to UEFA's official website that states that 78% of right footed penalties are scored compared to 63% of left footed penalties. https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/025a-0ea75351191f-7aaf2e07ac3e-1000--penalties-how-to-hit-them-where-to-put-them/I have researched this in detail in the past and i can tell you that most reliable sources say that right footed penalties have a higher success rate though a few state that the difference is negligible. What you would not find is any reliable source claiming that left footed penalties have a higher success rate. |

It's also difficult to predict a lefty penalty I'm a lefty!!! 1) Both left and right foot have side to hit the ball with. 2) Right leg is not more straight than left leg. 3) Right footers have a higher success rate in penalty shootouts than left footers. Leyqute: Many things were wrong with the club at that time.
LvG seemed to be getting somewhere with the squad. You’ll agree that he won the league titles at Bayern and Barcelona with his “philosophy”.
I’m not LvG-in, the guy has a ton of idiosyncrasies and his signings are usually flops. I just think it would’ve been better if he was allowed to work with those boys for one more year before they find a suitable replacement instead of sacking him prematurely and appointing Mourinho cos they were chasing the league. The mistake we made that year was going for LVG rather than Klopp. LVG used World Cup to bobo us. We now compounded it with Mourinho. Na only Fenibeso know how this present manager go turn out. |

Leyqute: Mehn. We shouldn’t have sacked Van Gaal.
Rashford and Martial would’ve been at a higher level now if he was allowed to stay. Na over expectation make us go sign Mourinho. Probably. The only problem is that almost every signing of Van Gaal was a flop, back to back. |
