Unlimited22:Hahahaha. Na so we see am o. |
Unlimited22:Me sef don ask about am. But check am. New poster comes here telling us that Diggz wife is divorcing him, telling us where he lives and where he works. Now wants to post his picture here. Obvious agenda here my guy. |
Unlimited22:You people should ignore this guy. Just wants to come here and spread tales. Definitely no need to give us all these details. |
Jemi7:I don't know about that one, but that 04/05 Liverpool team had some truly fecal players. Gerrard was very, very key to that team. Now whether it makes him better than Lampard, Scholes, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Lothar Matthaus, Ruud Gullit, Andrea Pirlo e.t.c who did not have to carry teams so much for that long is a different debate entirely. |
Gerrard saved Liverpool on at least 3 occasions that year. 1) Without his goals they don't qualify for the champions league proper. 2) Without his end of game golazo against Olympiacos at Anfield they don't qualify from their group. 3) Without his goal and warrior mentality they don't come back to win that final. Although Nihilist has been wrong about many things lately, he is right on the money in this one. ![]() |
nihilistjnr:He was better than all those guys but he was not better than Toyin Ayinla, Kwesi Bonsu, John Ene Okon, and Louis Igwilo. |

Very hilarious debate going on here. |
Jemi7:Lol it has never slipped Gerrard’s memory. |
nihilistjnr:But all you have shown is that Fergie was desperate to replace Keane with Gerrard to come and play BESIDE Scholes. Keane was in his 30s, Scholes was 30 and Gerrard was 24. This was Fergie just being Fergie. And Fergie was always ready to get him even then. Do you know how many different times and over how many years Fergie tried to sign Shearer? |
nihilistjnr:2004 when Fergie was trying to use any tactic including flattery to enable him replace the ageing Roy Keane with Gerrard? You wouldn’t know this because you were still a Leicester fan then and you guys had your hands full with relegation battles. ![]() |
Jemi7:We should also not forget the numerous EPL titles Scholes helped Man Utd win and the one Gerrard helped Liverpool lose. |
Sniper4real:This is a football thread after all. |
eph12:But of course. They have the best goal difference in their division. Excellent attack and unshakeable defence. |
Ibime:Someone that should be a hair clipper model. Fabinho is only slightly better though. |
eph12:True story. I like the way they possess the ball, and it’s hard to stop them once they are on top. Also even when you penetrate the defence it’s hard to score them. |
eph12:Yes, they are a good team. Even when they go down early in the game they come back quickly. |
ChristineC:Ain’t that a fact? ![]() I like the women’s team. Their defence is solid and their attack is robust. Or is it the other way round? |
Ho Gawd! Why does this phool fall down like he is playing on ice? Truth be told this guy was never that good, and whatever little quality he had has been lost. Half of Germany’s problems would be solved if they retired Hummels, Boateng, Müller and replaced them with Rudiger, Sule, and Sane. Then return Kimmich to RB and send that hybrid Ginter back to the bench. If the coach can’t see these simple moves then he needs to go. |
Very sad. I enjoy watching the women while the men are boring us to death. |
A good time to be a German hater ![]() |
Hehehe , so Messi in Chelsea would have scored 8 UCL goals all these years? Shekpites have now become Shekpebots. ![]() |
lanrefresh:Yes I think that is his best hope, but the guy should please add 2 inches at least. |
eph12:The guy is small. His growth in terms of size and on the field performances have not gone as projected over the last 6-12 months. Recently they have moved him into CM to see if his technique and vision will be better utilized there. For someone wof his size i don't think he is fast enough to play on the wings. Tahith Chong on the RW and Mason Greenwood anywhere in attack have greater potential in my opinion. That Greenwood guy might just be special, and in my opinion he is already better than Gomes. One can never be sure which one will succeed though as they need to avoid injuries, and have the right mentality and supporting cast. |
nihilistjnr:Moscow 85 set. He was actually a defender but he and Wasiu Ipaye had Hazard's talent level. That set was highly touted to do well in football. I could have mentioned Monday Odiaka, Osaro Obabaifo, Samson Siasia, and Ndubuisi Okosieme but they all had more talent than Hazard. What failed them was mentality. |
Coutinho14:No my guy. Was just listing guys that Nihilist agreed could possibly be as good as Hazard under Sarri. Players with Hazard’s talent level like Bobolayefa Edon, Uwem Ekarika, and Kwesi Bonsu. We have all agreed now that if they played under Sarri they may be as good if not better than Hazard. |
Skimpledawg:Na here we dey all weekend. We go turn the amala into chyme. |
nihilistjnr:I didn't want to hurt your feelings bro, but i have to come out and say it. Your theory was decent but flawed, so improved on it just like Dalton improved on Democritus atomic theory. Most of your postulates are sound but your parameters were a little off. So i standardized it and gave better evidence in terms of names like Amir Angwe, Clement Temile, and Victor Igbinoba who are on Hazard's talent level. It was wonderful to see you AGREE that it was possible for these players to perform like Hazard under Sarri. The theory does not work with players of dissimilar talent level. So the same way it can't work for Sam Elijah vs Hazard it can't work for Hazard vs Messi. ![]() You are welcome bro, and good night. It is almost 2 am here. Salud! ![]() |
nihilistjnr:I leave you as you contemplate the possibility of Stanley Okoro and Waheed Akanni being better than Hazard under Sarri. As you said yourself MAYBE they will be as good as (or even better than) him sef, who knows. Only difference is mentality and supporting cast. Talent na the same. Unfortunately even Julius Berger sef can't support 8 goals and raise it to 100 goals. |
nihilistjnr:I used your logic to make you believe that Sarri could make people of Hazard's talent level like Tarila Okorowanta and Julius Akpele into Hazard. Yes i agree with you, it is very possible. Maybe Sarri can coach Wasiu Ipaye and he will be as good as Hazard, and maybe he will coach Dimeji Lawal and he will be better than Hazard. Bu there are no ifs or buts in the Hazard/Messi debate. Using your logic, there is NO WAY Hazard can be as good as Messi as he is soooo inferior in talent. Thanks again for lending me your logic bro, i am done with it. You can have it back. ![]() |
nihilistjnr:After several posts it is now you are claiming you did not agree? hehehe, the above is what you said. Your thoughts there showed you believed Sarri could transform them to Hazard. We agreed generically that if 2 players have the SAME TALENT LEVEL their mentality and supporting cast could decide who succeeds and who fails. So when i mentioned Ikedia, Okoro, Ndidi, Dahiru and Zaha you with your great knowledge of football assessed their talent and AGREED that if Sarri coached them they would be like Hazard since they have the same talent level as Hazard. That is why i did not mention Chikelue Iloanusi, Edward Aranka, Egwuatu Oliseh and even Furo Iyenemi who are obviously less talented than Hazard. The logic would not hav worked for them. Unfortunately for Hazard he has WAY WAY LESS TALENT than Messi so even with supporting cast, foundation stone and even opomulero he can never perform to Messi's level. Thanks bro for agreeing that Hazard is just Stanley Okoro with mentality and supporting cast. ![]() |
