elampiro:Even when Shaw didn't play was Sanchez not useless? I can say Sanchez was the one making Shaw useless in this match and not the other way round. |
Nothing but 3 points will do today. |
popizaino:This does not make sense, but then again you never make sense. Why not compare Roger Hunt to Haruna Illerika? Have i ever argued Drogba vs Cantona with you or why are stubbornly trying to create a debate that does not exist? |
Afolabi6046:You are an obvious ignoramus, so it is not surprising that what you do not know is more than what you know. I have had more heated and serious arguments with Raumdeuter on this forum than this played out Hazard debate. It just so happens that i share most of his sentiments in this particular case. There is too much hype over a player who has not shown himself to be consistently decisive enough on the biggest stages. If YOU take a stand on issues based on who you are asslicking then you are on your own. ![]() |
![]() Oh boi, see JAMB questions. |
raumdeuter:Imagine someone saying he is up there with Messi in terms of performance? ![]() This is the kind of delusion that even regular doses of Olanzapine or Risperidone can't cure. |
Unlimited22:Ndidi Anumnu >>>> Pius Hazard. Those that don't like it can swim away to Antarctica or go hide in the nearest Volkswagen boot. ![]() |
Right on cue, the eshin inu iwe has crawled out of his car boot like a monitor lizard. ![]() Boy slow, how can you keep up with a debate when you can't even keep it up? ![]() |

chic2pimp:GGG has definitely lost his edge. Father Time has come knocking, and you know old father time has got a master key. No one can deny him. The fight was very close and it could have gone either way. Early rounds went to Canelo and late rounds went to GGG. 2 things killed GGG, 1) His slow start 2) His inability to knock Canelo out in the later stages when Canelo started fading. A combination of Canelo's solid chin and GGG's diminishing punching power saved Canelo in rounds 10 and 11. Canelo was barely holding on and GGG either would not or could not summon the energy or the power to finish him off. It was always going to favour Canelo on the score cards in a close fight cos he is the younger, more marketable and more connected boxer so the result did not surprise me. |
PlainJAY: ![]() Now that gif was funny. I just wan set the records staright ni before una draw another conclusion or paint another picture. ![]() |
raumdeuter:My best friend who is a fellow United fan and actually a season's ticket holder wanted us to offload Ronaldo as late as in 2005, mainly cos of his antics and diving. But the uproar that followed the world cup incident with Rooney was instrumental in forming the present day no nonsense, no frills Ronaldo. Similar to what happened to Becks after 98 world cup. |
raumdeuter: You don't mean it? Despite Belloti's relapsing fever? ![]() Nigga ain't that bad after all. |
Lana1:I don't know if you watched him but Ronaldo was a real diver in his early years. I will say the change for good started happening around 2006. |
These shekpites and their abominable understanding of stats and logic. Stats from 2012 when almost all the other current top players in the EPL were playing in other leagues. Since 2015 when KDB came back to the EPL: Goal contribution KDB 64 Pius Hidden 43 Since 2014 when Alexis Sanchez came to the EPL: Goal Contribution Alexis Sanchez 90 Ikebe Hazard 67 shakushaku dancer can't even outperform a piano player. ![]() |
Chelseafan1:Get off my case you car boot dweller. You and your marathon swimmer mentor are stans. I try my best to respect you guys and avoid direct confrontation and communication with you, but you in particular have shown that the concept of respect is alien to you. |
Canelo beats GGG by majority decision. Very close fight, practically too close to call. |
Stans. Stans everywhere ![]() |
And another woeful, woeful half of football. But we take the 3 points with thanks and move on. |
eph12:Fair enough. To address your point though, our defence is not as bad as the results so far this season. We have just had a run of bad luck. However i will still point out the lack of a clear leader at the back. But then again they might not be as good as you think they are. First of all we don't have a regular CB partnership. Central defence is all about partnerships. It is hard to find a great defence that did not involve a regular pairing e.g Baresi/Costacurta, Adams/Bould, Bruce/Pallister, Rio/Vidic, Terry/Carvalho. The understanding between the players is almost as important as the individual quality of each player. However we keep changing our defence after every single bad game or mistake. Your point about the midfield is valid though. Our midfield seems to run an escort service sometimes and if you are short 2 or even 1 in terms of defensive application or discipline then you will struggle. |
ChristineC:He is a black less injury prone Phil Jones. But then again an injury free Phil Jones is not a bad defender. Phil Jones has been derailed by injury upon injury, and the trajectory of his career has been permanently altered. In terms of natural ability Smalling and Rojo and co are not on his level. I really like Bailly but he has to play a more composed and less kamikaze style of defending to really achieve his potential. |
eph12:First of all it is 2 out of 5 (compared to the previous Liverpool), and it is the 2 most important positions i.e GK and CB. What have Bailly, De Gea and Smalling got to do with how Liverpool's defence has improved from past seasons? Did Liverpool buy or sell any those players cos i don't understand how comparing the United players answers you original question which was "what has changed to make Liverpool's defence better". The answer to that question is the acquisition of much better players than they had before in the 2 key defensive positions. It has nothing to do with United. |
![]() Okada pls stop me here, i suspect owambe go shele today for this place. |
eph12:Remember this is what you started with. It was not about Man Utd vs Liverpool, rather it was about Liverpool past vs Liverpool present. eph12:So we are explaining to you what has changed at Liverpool. The midfield has not really changed much. The major changes are at GK (where they have a solid GK rather than the comedians they had before) and at CB where they have a leader who is composed and dominant in the air. |
Afolabi6046:I said i preferred Alexander Arnold to an ageing Valencia. Please how is Valencia part of our young defense? Let us not even get started on how that your definition of hypocrisy applies to what i said. You are confused young man, and you don't have anyone to tell you. |
MRTA7:LOL, i guessed as much. |
eph12:Liverpool has had this fighting midfield for years, what they didn't have was a composed and dominant midfielder and a top notch goalk keeper. Instead they had Mignolet and Judas isKarius stinking up the joint. The major change between the wack Liverpool defence and this more solid defence is Allison and Van Dijk NOT the midfield. |
Afolabi6046:What hypocrisy? |
eph12:The game changers are Van Dijk and Allison. The midfield has been pressing since Klopp got there. Van Dijk and Allison changed the game, the pressing midfield is just jara. |
eph12:The guys above have answered you. Our only advantage is at GK and Allison himself is no slouch. Van Dijk is a huge upgrade on our CBs, i will take Alexander-Arnold over Valencia who gets slower by the day and never had good crossing technique anyway, and even though Shaw has more talent than Robertson he is never fit. Then you add a Liverpool midfield which presses continuously and serves as a buffer for the defence. They don't have slow or defensively ill-disciplined players in midfield. |
Unlimited22:Omo na Friday night for here, so weekend mode activated. I just dey admire the 2 of una skills from afar. I see as you dey twist and turn like person wey rub okro for body go fight. |
