I think too much is being made about the fight being fixed. I don't know if Fury did enough for us to neglect the fact that he hit the canvas twice. I don't agree Fury was robbed. Perhaps without the knockdowns Fury wins but man on one of those knockdowns Fury was given a little too much time to get up

Well said. Fury should have had the decision on points but i am not shocked that the hometown champion who knocked his opponent down twice was given some help on the cards.

I gave Wilder Rds 1,2,3,9,12 and Fury the rest. If you calculate that is 113-113.

Even if you give Fury one 1 of the first 3 rounds and recalculate then it is 112-114 to Fury.

My point is it was a closer fight than you guys made it seem. With multiple knockdowns you can win a minority of the rounds and still win on points, that is the importance of knockdowns.

114-112 to Fury would have been a fair result.

Knockdowns matter because in a round with a knockdown it would be scored 10-8 for the person who knocks the other guy down but in other rounds it would be scored 10-9 for the winner of the round.

I grew up watching Mike Tyson and almost all his fights wins or losses ended in a knockout. It was Holyfield vs Lennox they had to do twice and both times was on points. That was when Heavyweight started losing the glamor for me

And the Mayweather type fight too was not just it

We have gone through all this before.
Tyson was a knockout artist but the division was low in quality opposition then.

I think if Fury has the stamina and his weight loss was through the traditional method and not mainly medication assisted, he can get the win.
