Suicide and strife.
What's the structure of the poem, llaykorn. Kinda looks like prose poetry to me, seeing how you break your lines after a punctuation mark. |

I'm more concern about who impregnated her. Rather than congratulate her, an investigation should be launched on fishing out the shameless nitwit who impregnated her.
Instances like this is what usually gives these feminists the audacity to label all men 'animals'. |

Romance › Re: Let Us Make 2017 Miss Nairaland Great by AfroSamurai: 8:30pm On May 11, 2017 |
NairalandHeroes: I had to modify this thread because I didn't know why the previous one was remove. Any way, here is my suggestion.
I beg to ask Mr. Osewa that sir, please , there should be measures to implement to make Miss Nairaland contest this year great.
As a newbie who has taken the pain to go through all the threads of the last contest I have realised that last year's own was too contentious.
Suggestions:
1) There Should be No formation of groups
2) All campaign managers should sign an agreement that they will not coax or intimidate their candidate into parting with their prize money as witnessed in last year's contest where 5k brought in controversy.
3) there shall be no leaks of private photos and children of the contestants
4)no screenshots of private convo and more.
I think Mr. Osewa should allow this year roll by without the contests as some group (plurimi) has already been formed for the sole purpose of Mr and miss Nairaland by one of the person who brought the last contest to shame.
Thank you sir.

safarigirl: you are not expected to understand, you haven't yet gotten to that level. Whatever you say affects someone's idea, because it is not robots that are online. It is human beings, and if they have a common idea, they must have common experiences. I have met men who are no different from these internet guys.
And using the term 'hate' is extreme, you need to learn how to make proper use of words, you are not making me have a better perspective of Nigerian men. Everyone is an ambassador in some way, it is regretful that you remain unaware of the power of the internet First and foremost, if you want to have a better perspective of nigerian men, use your father, brothers, male cousins as a yardstick to better your perspective of nigerian men, not faceless men. This was why I said you, like many nigerian women, have misplaced priorities. I believe you're the one who hasn't gotten to the level you speak of. Whatever anyone say only affect shallow minded, lazy individuals, that is, the ones who are mentally lazy to check and know if what they're told have substance. Then again I ask you, why should you let the words of a faceless individual affect you? You see, the internet pave way you women like you to vent their shortcomings on men. Thus, they generalise greatly. Hate, is a word, if you see it as extreme, it's your cup of tea, not mine. So why should I bother my pretty head about your feeble thoughts, after all, it's my comment, is it not? |

safarigirl: not everyone who has a disdain for (Nigerian) men was "used, cruised and abused", on the contrary, the used and abused girls are the ones still desperately latching on to the scum of the earth for a sense of normalcy, case in point, Mercy Aigbe.
It is unfounded and insulting comments like yours and the many others that litter Nairaland and other social media that in fact, spurs the disdain Anyone who truly feel disdain over comments on social media need a lobotomy. That's a standard fact cos I fail to even reason why anyone would even feel disdain over a comment coming from a person who hasn't added an ounce of value to their lives. I guess your comment buttress what they say about many Nigeria women (you inclusive) you have misplaced priorities. Set your priorities straight, missy. And free yourself from senseless hate. |

ExplorerReturns: on a more serious note, I doubt that the incident was a rape scenario. this girls are of age and the deliberately consented to have sex with the man who lured them maybe with money or their body just dey scratch them.
if not that one got pregnant the sex rumble would have continued and no one will talk about rape. this rape was filled by the parents of the girls to deal with the man.
why do I have the feeling that they actually performed threesom.e and he "ended on their back" abeg make person help me with that pics Legally, they're minors. Age of consent (adulthood) in Nigeria is 18, not 17. |

Celebrities › Re: Femi Kuti Tells Buhari To Resign by AfroSamurai: 4:12pm On May 11, 2017 |
Honestly, Femi couldn't have said it better. It's becoming obvious that these politicians know just how to treat the masses. They use religion and tribalism to blind them cos many of the masses are to shallow to even think for themselves.
How can a president embark on indefinite medical leave? In a sane country, as long as it is discovered that he (the president) isn't fit to run the affairs of state, he doesn't need anyone to tell him to resign.
I guess Nigeria isn't a sane country. Judging by the amount of nonsense we see everyday. |

pocohantas: Why e pain you like this na? On the contrary. I'm not the one who hurried and made a generalisation because she has been used, cruised and abused by some men, am I? So, I'll say you're the one who is in pain, not me. You can still attempt to deny you're not in pain, I know denial spur your hatred, so keep on denying, after all, denying is what many nigerian women are good at. |

How can a grown up woman be this foolish, all because of Mrs title.
The way the value of Nigerian men is falling, person fit marry 12 at the same time to have a perfect husband . What's stopping you from marrying 50 at the same time? Why engage in hasty generalisation just to drive home your feeble hatred for nigerian men? |

Pastor Pastor! I wonder when they became marriage councillors. And to the lady, don't blame the pastor, blame yourself for listening to him. It's all your fault, not his, after all, he didn't point a gun to your head, did he? |
