David Imitating American means prounoucing it the way it is done. I am sure that no one will 'pardon' you if you pronounce English word the way the news casters in CNN and BBC. Most of those guys have little or not accent and even when they have, the pronouciations are clear.
We all know a problem those who were thought English in nigeria face.

I am not sayin that missing or adding things to an English word is right. Though it is part of accent such can be overcome so that one can pass across his message. Such defects in accent that can distort a communication like adding h to as to sound like has is not proper and it can be overcome.

we have the right to love other accents. I for one like Italian language and the accent.

They like their own and make no effort to sound like the english.

Why do we force ourselves to speak like the londoner. They have their own peculair accent different from the the midlands and so on.
