MKO4ever: But when boko haram strikes, buhari will be blamed because it is not GEJ's fault!! Naira is now N225 to a dollar and you will blame buhari. Power is now stable and GEJ to take credit. WTF! Your argument is erroneous because the two situations cannot be compared. Tell me what Buhari has done to take credit for any improvement in power.... Is it possible to change power situation in 4 weeks? GEJ showed how possible it is to hold back BH in a short period. When he left office, we heard little or nothing about BH because of 6 weeks of intensive offensive. What is preventing Buhari from sustaining the offensive? He has not changed the Security chiefs so why is their a lull in the offensive? FFS think!! |

Acidosis: cool
No surprises. Since I moved in last year, power supply has remained constant (at least 17hours daily).
APC evil spirits only made the populace believe we all live in dungeons. Thank God the propaganda is over.
In short, the power situation has nothing to do with the Daura President. You are very correct. Also, the sabotage of the gas pipelines have stopped. The target is out of the way. Buhari is yet to find his way around Aso Rock so whatever you see now and even in the future is from GEJ's work. |

Politics › Re: On Buhari/Osinbajo Public Asset Declaration: The "30 Days" Verification Is Over by agabaI23(m): 9:07pm On Jun 28, 2015*. Modified: 9:24pm On Jun 28, 2015 |
barcanista: The Genesis During the campaign period President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice Yemi Osinbajo pledged to publicly declare their assets in line with their "transparent" leadership. On the eve of Buhari/Osinbajo inauguration (May 28, 2015), President Buhari and Osinbajo filed their secret asset declaration with Code of Conduct Bureau(CCB) in line with the constitutional provisions. Two days later, Nigerians were however shocked when Buhari's spokesman Alhaji Shehu Garba on air to tell the public that by "declaring with CCB, Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo had fulfilled one of their pledge".
Majority of the population couldn't take such because we are well aware of the difference between secret and public asset declarations. We demanded to see the asset of the President, his Vice and their spouses (similar to what late President Yar'adua did).
The CCB 30 Days Verification Timeline Rather than publicly show Nigerians the asset, Buhari's spokesman Alhaji Shehu Garba came out on June 6, 2015 to tell Nigerians to wait after CCB mandatory verification even when the CCB has no business with public asset declaration. In his own word...
Some other APC sympathisers like Dr Peregrino Brimah and some SaiBuhari chanters re-echoed the 30 days verification period. In fact, they reminded us that late President Yar'adua published his asset on Jun 28, 2007 (30 Days after his declaration with CCB). Though Nigerians know that the 30-Day period was only to buy time, nevertheless we gave them the time.
30-Day Verification Elapsed, Where Are The Assets? Today 28, June 2015 makes it 31 Days after Buhari and Osinbajo filed their asset declaration before CCB. The 30-Day verification period has elapsed.
Where are the assets of President Muhammadu Buhari, VP Yemi Osinbajo and their Spouses? We are waiting for the assets to be declared otherwise it will reinforce the fact that he is #babaonechance |

Themandator: Saraki on the contrary is consolidating his grip... Do you imagine those who are going to emerge will sit down and plot his impeachment? Nope.
The ex govs who make up a sizeable percent of them are his former colleagues... Who are used to be in charge... Do you imagine they want to be dictated to by party leadership that is bent towards one leader? Nope.
When he finally names the committee chairmen he would have completely taken over the Senate.... Neither the south east not south south will ever back his removal so also are the senators from ekiti and ondo as well as his zone not forgetting that he has the support of Atiku, for whatever it is worth.
Buhari is not ready to throw money around and the money is not even readily available and those with personal resources like Amaechi don't know their future yet.
Even at that, in the event the cash is available, who are you gonna bribe, Akpabio with influence over his fellow senators from the state or the former govs? Put money into the project and the Buhari presidency gets his first anti corruption test as it would be exposed and the public would expect him to act.
APC or the Tinubu faction will have to live with the idea of a strong and independent minded Senate president and speaker.... Buhari is not in any way in harms way either way. I enjoyed reading this |

I have just detected hipocrisy here. Tambuwal did the same & u guys clapped. What goes around comes around. Note this, Saraki is about to become the most powerful & popular senate president ever. Do u know why? Not because he is a good man but because he has a United 49 behind him. He is practically untouchanble. Live with it. Do not mind them Karma is biatch..... |

modath: You will look till 2019 when they'll return to beg for votes & the circle will return again...
Seems Saraki has decided to make the upper chamber his mini fiefdom.but APC should make sure he doesn't get away with this plan of his, he didn't get a senatorial seat on his own name only but with the party's assent....
He should be allowed to leave if he wants to & the chips fall wherever they may,cos his open defiance will not do the party any good in the long run..
Presently he enjoys no goodwill from well meaning nigerians but the bigots & ethnic warlords who have no sense of decency..
Don't know why I have that feeling that he is enjoying his last taste of political relevance. Modath, can you tell me honestly what you said when Tambuwal emerged? What was your position on his obvious antiJonathan/PDP activities? If you tell me, I will answer you. Meanwhile I competed in 5000 meters yesterday and got second position |
