nduchucks: The reasons why I choose Buhari over GEJ are summarized in this this post
My view remains that GEJ is not qualified to rule this great country - he is surrounded by sycophants and rougues. You never gave him chance from the word go, so I don't expect you to do now. You have a right to choice, objective or not. Do not call others sychophannts because they have different views to yours. |

tundesto: Chapter 1 is always reserved for Introduction, background, scope, limitation, aim and objective etc. No university has put Literature review to Chapter 1 before. What is the difference between introduction, background and literature review? Please don't say no university has put lit rev as chapter one before. |
Education › Re: Facts About The Average Nigerian Lecturer by agabaI23(m): 4:57pm On Dec 24, 2014 |

sod09: some will frustrate you and make u write chapter one like 3 times Bleep my supervisor If you write rubbish, do you expect the lecturer to accept it as presented? Is he doing you any favour? It is called mentoring. Most often, chapter one is always literature review and most students know next to nothing about this aspect of literary until they are faced with their project. I blame lecturers for this. I will only consider that laziness on the side of the lecturer if the he does not direct you on what to do each time he requests that you re-write a chapter anyway. If you have ever looked at an article you wrote some years back without anyone's input, you will understand the importance of mentoring or peer review as the case may be. They are not sadists. They also get frustrated when you write the same thing each time and expect them to accept it I understand that some lecturers feel like gods... |

vicadex07: Hmmn...U also made valid points too. So the contending issue that will determine who you vote for now is oil. This oil we are shouting is already depreciating. Nigeria produces oil in excess commercial quantity, yet the government pays huge amount of subsidy so that we can afford it.
Now they are threatening to remove it in 2015. No I am not voting because of oil, I am voting because GEJ has done well compared to others including his challenger. I am voting GEJ because he is a better candidate in all ramification. Whatever you accuse him of, Buhari is also guilty of. I mentioned oil to tell you why the north is bent on getting power back. Oil price is going up again for your information. it has gained $5 recently!!! vicadex07: When Jonathan finally removes it when he is re elected, there will be massive inflation and price hikes of goods and services and a huge increase in crime and poverty levels. Well need to worry, the dwindling oil price has made the case of subsidy a none issue. The budget of 2015 has only 200B for subsidy and it is there because of outstanding subsidy claims. So you wont have to play politics with subsidy again. I hope you know what the removed subsidy was use to achieve? The roads which your friends could not do before eg..Ore-Benin, Abuja -Lokoja, the YouWin programme, the Sure-p maternal Child care etc It was not in vain otherwise Amaechi would have been talking about it. vicadex07: Jonathan has spent 6yrs in administration. He built no single refinery to supplement local supply, instead he removed fuel subsidy so that the masses will feel the brunt. Is that supposed to be his priority? Nothing and absolutely no improvement in the power sector. He is absolutely clueless abt the security situation. What else is he coming to do in second term? His challenger did not build any. And we all know that it is not the business of governments to build refineries. Dangote's refinery will be ready in 2 years. It is his biz not GEJ. It is GEJ biz to make favourable policy for him to build. He has done that and Dangote is building. Masses are not feeling any thing, the masses spend less time on the road, masses can move there goods to the north at less cost etc I am sure you will criticize the automobile policy too that will kick in on the first of January? By the way, you are shouting about not fighting corruption and he is blocking all the avenues through which corruption thrive and you are complaining or are you not aware of the corruption involved in subsidy regime? Some have been arraigned and others awaiting trial and some convicted. Corruption is not fought by using soldiers to whip people into line at a bus stand. Such measures disappear immediately after the soldier return to their barracks. It has to do with change of attitude and reorientation and not fear. vicadex07: Nothing and absolutely no improvement in the power sector. He is absolutely clueless abt the security situation. What else is he coming to do in second term? If you have been involved in building a house you will understand at the foundation stage, especially in a swamp like the power sector was, so much money is sunk into it without any visible progress. Would you say there is not progress? You also remember that your friend saboteurs deliberately break gas pipelines? For what purpose? What is Buhari coming to do again? What did he achieve in his first tenue? It is general knowledge that and administration voted in for a second term performs more woefully thatn their first because they know they won't be able to go for a thirs term after their 2nd term tenure ends. This is quite evident in the government of governor Fashola who I can say slowed down pace in his 2nd term tenure. Well may be that is the case with APC governors. Chime of Enugu state is still building roads as I talk to you. He is not seeking reelection. Akpabio just commissioned a world class stadium... So you are just giving us a vital information that APC guys only perform in their first tenues. Amaechi stopped performing immediately after he defected to APC and turned to a driver etc. You are very right. However, Fashiola may be a victim of Tinubu desire to acquire more wealth........ That's how it happens nationwide. If jonathan is voted in again, Nigerians should brace up for the worst cause what we are going to get is more cluelesness and more impunity in the administration of our precious resources. He will get more ruthless as he has no fear for not being reelected. Just know that the CABALS will be in total control and will be the ones ruling us. They have already shown their faces by donating huge amounts of our billions for jonathans campaign. A word is enough for the wise No they will not. This is not the only country where business owners get involved in election process. They do so because they want favourable policies. We still have the national assembly to checkmate the excesses. Research America and UK and you will agree with me. Merry Christmas |

vicadex07: okay, those things happened in a military dispensation whereby the president rules with Veto power. A military leader rules as he pleases. His word his law. That can never happen under democrazy because the executive arm of government is not independent of the other arms in decision making. The bias was not military, it was personal. You made a good point though. Most of the things you guys are saying he did were done with military fiat. In democracy you cannot beat someone to stand in line. You cannot imprison Ekwueme without trial. You cannot go into anybody's shop and force him to sell a tin of milk he bought 6 naira for 4 naira and you monitor him to see compliance. You cannot jail any corrupt officer when he can keep adjourning or exploiting 99 constitution to his favour. How is he going to fight corruption? Sanusi now Emir once told him in an article that he will not do what he did in military in democracy because he will be frustrated. Good luck is trying to change 1999 constitution but his brothers in the north want the status quo. Why? How will fight corruption? Amaechi is using Rivers money to fund his campaign and he is looking the other way. He is hobnobbing with Tinubu and we know who he is? Listen, the Northerners are queuing behind Buhari just because they want power back. They want it back even if it is a cripple because oil lease will be renegotiated in 2017 and they will not want a southerner there when it is done. Wake up! |

vicadex07: This story actually paints buhari in a good light to some extent. He cannot deny his people being a fulani himslef so he had to act on their behalf. He might have heard a one sided version of the incident from the fulani herdsmen which explains why he came in furious.
He resorted to dialogue and succumed to the voice of reason when all the evidences were laid out. Even though humiliated, he left a changed man.
Since this particular incident, I dont think I have heard of any other fulani herdsmen clash with the natives in Oyo State again. I respect the sagacity and wisdom with which Gov. Lam Adesina used to broach the subject. We all know him to be sectional, imprisoning Ekwueme and pardoning his principal. 53 suitcases...etc. PTF in the North was different from the South ... |

Romance › Re: Revealed: These Are What Decent Nigerian Ladies Really Want From Men. by agabaI23(m): 2:37pm On Dec 23, 2014 |
Onyiridike: Often times, some members (men) on this forum have asked Nigerian ladies what they really want from them. Unfortunately, some of us do shy away from such questions and even when we manage to answer them, we do so in a shallow manner.
Consequently, I have taken it upon myself to give a detailed answer to the best of my ability. If we refuse to tell them what we want, then why do we complain when they do things the wrong way.
This is not actually long, but thought it will help those guys out there who are used to thinking that impressing girls with swaga and 'fake' appearance will make them fall in love. You got to read this.
Let's get started:
1. Getting a girl of your dreams is like getting your dream car. However, unlike a car which you can always bargain for, there is nothing like a 20% discount in courting the girl of your dreams. She is so sweet a thing to be discounted.
2. You dearly are in love with her and your feelings for her can only be communicated not by the words of the mouth, but by the words of the heart. Getting the girl actually depends on how big your heart is-faint heart, never won fair lady.
3. The first dating idea for any man is to make a good impression. In your doing so, you don't have to talk, dress or do the common things that all Toms do to get a decent girl's attention. Be unique, that is all you need. Be a man of his own style.
4. Dress decently- indecency can make one to be mistaken for arrogance.
5. Watch your language-obscene language gives the impression of immaturity, being uncultured and cheap; be man of good habits-don't drink or smoke like any other loser.
6. How to make her fall in love with you? Take your time. Add some romance to your dating style.
During my NYSC, a certain guy had a crush on me in our first year. Though all guys were after me, he managed to divert my attention from the other guys. He wrote me three letters without disclosing his identity and slid them into my room secretly. All he said was 'Yours Secret Admirer'. The first letter contained the meaning of my name. The second funny message that could be read backwards and it was all about my physique and smartness. In the third letter, he told me to be ready to receive special gift from my admirer but only if I could be kind enough to call him using the number that he included in the letter. The rest is now history. No one has ever approached me in this manner.
7. Understanding the lady you are out to get is next important thing. This is what he did. A lady has to be loved, adored and be needed. This will bring two of you closer. Try to understand what she likes and dislikes and what her style is.
8. Be sure that bringing out the selflessness friend in you will make her create room for you in her heart. A shoulder to lean on and some good friends that she can always turn to is what a lady wants.
9. Please, don't hastitate to be helpful and supportive. Be that friend that rekindles her zeal of hardworking and restoring hope back into her life when she looses hope. This above all other things will make you her daily vitamin simply because you will bring out the best in her in terms of personality and character.
There was a day that we attended a seminar and we decided we are not going to speak to each other verbally, so he wrote a love note on a paper and passed it across the table to me. I replied and on and on we carried on our love on paper conversation till we almost exhausted a whole rim of paper. Such are the things that made me embrace his world.
10. Don't kiss her when she expects you to. Your respect as a gentleman will be earned on how patient you are with her when it comes to such matters as kissing her and accessing her inner graces. The writing is on the wall that you want her but you can't have her just yet.
11. Try to show her that men are also hard to get at times.
12. Be like that gardener watching a fruit as it hangs on the tree, day after day admiring it, but excercising tremendous self-discipline, neither feeling the fruit nor pitching it, nor testing it to see if it is ready. And then, one day he holds out his hand and the fruit simply drops into it, ripe, warm and eager to be eaten.
Finally, I wish you to meet the girl of your dreams ASAP, make her fall in love with you, and make her feel the happiest girl on earth.
Nairaland ladies, what do you want from your man? I'm gonna try this out on you. I will do all you said to see if we can get biochemistry. |
