The governorship flag bearer of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) for the February 11th governorship election in Bayelsa State, Comrade Famous Danemoughan yesterday faulted the position of Pastor Tunde Bakare and Malam Nasir el-Rufai on the removal of fuel subsidy.

Danemuaghan, who led other leaders of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) on a pro-subsidy rally through streets of Yenagoa on Wednesday, said though the positions presented by Bakare and El-Rufai, were done as individuals with freedom of expression, it was misplaced, wrong and not that of the the CPC.

He said the party was silent on the issue because they consider that such policy could have been possible if they had won the 2011 Presidential Polls in order to tackle corruption and increase development in most parts of the country.

Do you know how many people El Rufai sent to the villages across Nigeria. Did he care about the pains he was inflicting on the masses? I know a man who got a shop for 1million and it was demolished less than a year after. He is yet to recover economically.

Was it politically correct?
Most of the victims were not given time to even pack out. Others had no notice except the sound of a bulldozer.

He is a hypocrite.

With this development, such budgetary allocation has been withdrawn with effect from this month according to Nnaji. He had earlier said that they intend to complete privatisation by April. GEJ appointed Nnaji so credit should got to him.
And the fact that he did not throw the 2005 plan it into the trashcan like Yar'Adua did should be commended because that's the kind of continuity we have been praying for.

cement should remain the same because diesel was deregulated long before now.
I told my friends 2 months back that the deregulation of fuel has more impact that that of pms because it has industrial applicatios than pms.
Haulage trucks use diesel, generating sets of industry size use diesel engines. This protests have no meaning

All of you don't seem to get a very simple concept . If you have a history of misconduct then that can be used to judge your character !!! The GEJ Government, without a doubt, has a very dubious history of seeking "endorsement" by all means and that is putting it kindly considering they bankrupted your nation for that purpose.

An accused is innocent until convicted. This post is an accusation at best and not a fact because there is no evidence.
This is just like the metro police pulling any beautiful car driven by a black man in the night just because black men are assumed to be up to no good and as such are not expected to be successful. They must have stolen the car as 'they are known to do'

I am not a fan of Sanusi, but in this case, he is in the same position with me.

I am totally for subsidy removal but I would have preferred a staggered approach which would have seen the whole thing removed at year end. That is N100 by June and 140 by November.

I do not understand why SLS said that removing it once is better.

The timing is probably not the best. I might think, the reason behind the timing is to deflate protests as many people would still be in their villages but I am not sure if that reason is cogent enough.

We saw this throw-money-at-everything approach before the elections. Next, if he gets away with this, we will go through this same charade for 7 years tenure elongation and every other crazy policy this champion of AGIPs wants to ram down the throats of Nigerians. Reno Omokri was probably handing out the 'performance allowance' in person.
