wirinet:You yourself observed that the lawyer didn't address the FG 'C of O' matter right? Because he knows its not out of place. All the other things you are saying is story. Why do you people don't ever want to learn and relearn?? You have been provided info that FG issues C of O for FG owned properties in Lagos. After which the beneficiaries goes to State govt to get the State C of O and you are still arguing. There are many of such properties in VI, Ikoyi and Apapa. I have seen many of those FG issued C of Os. I even have 2 of such with me but can't post it because of privacy issues. |
PaChukwudi44:Where's the 2011 C of O na?? Abi na inside your Oyingbo shop e dey?? |
gidgiddy:We have seen purported documents of the person. Where are the documents of the other party ![]() Abi na only their word of mouth we go chop?? |
wirinet:So you know more than the lawyer right? Even the lawyer knows the FG issues some C of O and only concerned about the date. |
wirinet:yes, governor's consent is obtained first. It is afterwards you process CofO. |
004gist:Have you seen this so-called C of O issued earlier?? Or just arguing based on assumptions?? Most of the properties in Ikoyi were formerly FG-owned before being sold to individuals. Those properties have C of O issued by the Federal Govt. Personally, I have seen a number of them. The beneficiaries of those properties are expected to regularise their C of O with the Lagos state govt. That is, they'll use their FG issued C of O to apply for Lagos State govt C of O. |
004gist:You obviously don't know about land matters. Hence, the ignorance you are demonstrating. The documents to a land are tiered. Governor's consent comes before C of O. You cannot have C of O first and then later saying you got Governor's consent? How now? Once you have the C of O in your name, that's final. Now, take note that he didn't say "our own C of O" he just said "our own". Our own what?? The other party showed us their C of O in their name, these other people you are writing in their favour did not show anything, just using word of mouth and you are rating them above the other party? Is that not bias?? |
004gist:Stop being dishonest na. The report stated that they have governor's consent. Governor's consent is different from C of O. |
Its also curious to note that in the video of Obi, where he was saying his family owns the land and that they should go and tell whoever came there. The person making the video, cleverly did not show the writing on the wall indicating possession taken by court order. |
seunoyeleyep:I have seen landlords, organisations, remove roof of countless houses once they get judgement in their favour. Infact, MFM, a church even did same after winning land court case against an individual who built and was living in their MFM camp. That issue trended on social media back then. The man married a 2nd wife, MFM then evicted him and he refused saying he rightly bought the property from the church and a land case scuffle began. Now I'm not saying removing roof or demolishing after winning the property case is right or wrong, but telling you this is what usually happens in similar cases and this is no different! There's nothing political here, parties should go to court and sort themselves out. |
Obi messed up trying to sensationalise and politicize this purely civil matter and its quite petty. This is purely a land matter similar to millions of similar land matters all over the country and in different courts. As usual with Nigerians in Land matters, once a party gets favourable judgement, the next thing is to rush to the land to remove roof or demolish. We have seen this countless times and there's nothing political about it. Everyone familiar with Lagos land matter knows there's Federal government C of O, which was issued to those who bought FG properties in Lagos. The owners of such properties are then expected to regularise with Lagos State Govt in line with the Land Use Act to obtain Lagos C of O. Abeg you people should carry your land matter and documents to court and stop heating up the polity over your personal affairs. |
Please any info on current dates? Any luck with 2025 interview date? |
IbnB:I read the thing over and over and couldn't make sense of it. |
All these efforts only to go and be a second fiddle to Atiku. Smh |
saintkel:Lol. There's a big difference. I'm talking about 1 governor who has done 2 terms. And not 2 governors. 2- term governor. Not governors |
saintkel:Read to understand, I said 2-term governor. I didn't say 2 governors. Yes, Obi did his part. But the platform has always been there for 'homeless' politicians at one time or the other. Because they made the platform available for you does not make you the alpha and omega of the party. |
tiswell:Oshiomole won on AC |
saintkel:You are the one that didnt know. LP has produced a 2-term state governor in the past. Peter Obi found the platform worthy and that was why he pitched his tent there. I wonder why you guys are now castigating the people that freely offered the party to Mr. Peter Obi and his tem. We wait to see the party they will make use of in 2027 and compare its performance to that of LP. |
Ezeego1:Obi vs Shettima debate will be interesting ![]() |
Bosman17:He said he travelled with Airpeace, but we can see BA return boarding pass. Why didn't he return with his Airpeace? |
autoez:Not possible. You are only issued boarding pass after checking in. It has a barcode that will automatically open the gates for you. How will a fake open the gate? Infact, there was a time I purposely tried to use boarding pass of a connecting flight to try to open the gate and it returned error and dint open. |
ElevationD:Stop the gas lighting and calling other people illiterates when you are also thinking like one. We are all well-read and widely-traveled and know people that try to break protocol and the people supporting them are the actual educated illiterates. Stop the gas lighting and trying to be clever by half, it's only you catholics that regard meeting the pope as an eternal big deal. Other people and muslims care less. At best, just a fickle excitement of meeting a renowed figure and thats it. Also, stop the reverse psychology, we all read the day to day account of the events. The first political angle to go out like wild fire was the supposed bouncing of Seyi Tinubu. It was after this that the other side too started firing back. We the neutrals can decipher these things from afar. Now to the main matter, the simple undiluted fact is that, the trio of Cardinal Arinze, Peter Obi and Kayode Fayemi embarrassed themselves and this embarrassment was vicariously transferred to the nation Nigeria as a set of people who do not like to follow protocol. It's been said that both Peter Obi and Fayemi are Papal knights. They are not strangers to the Vatican. Then... Why trying to use the entrance you are not permitted to use?? Is this not common sense?? Do they have to be told before doing the right thing?? Does this have anything to do with politics?? Why still staying there and trying to influence the protocol officer to bend the rules after you have been told you can't use the entrance?? Nigerians generally just do not like to follow very simple instructions and it is sad and worrisome. I've noticed that trait even in my kids and I'm very strict on them. If they were kids, they definitely would have received knocks on their heads for this. Why for God's sake will you not follow simple laid down instructions?? And then after you've been told you are not allowed to use this entrance, instead of complying immediately like a civilised person, you are still trying to convince and argue your way out, a very terrible Nigerian mentality. See, that's the difference between the developed world and ours. They follow instructions and are highly civilised. We, both leaders and the led, are same. I can assure you if it was a white person that mistakenly found himself at that entrance and the security re-directed him, he/she will not spend 3 secs at that place. The person will turn back immediately to the right entrance he/she was directed to. See Peter Obi, instead of saving the Cardinal from the embarrassment and turning back immediately, he was still looking around with a clownish smile wondering why the protocol man will not give them preferential treatment. Same with Fayemi. See our Cardinal Arinze who should know better, also explaining and explaining. For what please!? You should know and act better, but you didn't, now you are being told what to do as regards your companions, instead of complying, you still doing plenty explanations and putting the protocol officer doing his job in a tight spot. Is the Cardinal telling the world that if he was made the pope, this is the way he'll be bending and breaking protocol or trying to do so for his fellow Nigerian people?? Let the western media jump on this and that is the angle they'll dwell on. This embarrassing behavioral pattern. Not the mundane politics we are focusing on here, and they'll be right. All Leaders should be called out when they goof without any sentiments, not only those in power. That is what is called accountability. That is integrity. That is the way it is being done in more civilised environment and its working for them. All leaders are under the spotlights, not only those in power. ALL These people goofed and further tainted our image and people are right to call them out. |
[sub][/sub] autoez:Village man. That's a boarding pass and not ticket. |
UK visa fees are just too high. They are making a killing from Naija. Comparatively, US visa fee of $185 which gives 5 years is cheaper than UK visa fee of $176, which is just for 6 months. |
Still cheaper than UK visa. |
naijapikin2:Because combat is not by shout and emotions. If you are too emotional, you cannot be successful in a combat situation. It's about strategy, maintaining composure, studying the circumstances and taking action. |
Seun:We need a feature to bookmark a post. So many important posts being lost due to lack of this. |
Good move. Nairaland is loaded with valuable useful information, we shouldn't allow bigotry to pollute this space. A good number of the bigots actually hate this forum and wishing for her downfall. There is therefore no reason they should be given any breathing space. |
giselle237:Indeed, 3 years ago |
isArray:This is not entirely accurate. A close family member on visit visa applied from the UK and was approved. Can I apply for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa in a country where I do not reside? |
humberjade:This your comment made me laugh so hard. I can't remember the last time I had a good laugh like this. ![]() Nairaland without the bigoted tribal posts is actually a good place to get a good laugh. |
