KEVIND:
The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), founded by late Prophet T.B Joshua, welcomed back its members for physical services on Sunday after 21 months of closure.

Worshippers trooped in for services at the headquarters of the church located at the Ikotun Egbe, Lagos.

P.M. News correspondent who attended the service observed that despite the crowd, the church adhered to the COVID-19 protocols.

Regular Sunday services were put on hold in March 2020, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, long before the sudden demise of the founder and General Overseer of the ministry, late Prophet T.B Joshua on June 5, 2021.

Till his passing on June 5, the church remained under lock.

The late cleric had insisted that the church would only be re-opened when there were divine instructions to that effect.

Today will be the first physical service globally under the church’s new leadership of Prophetess Evelyn TB Joshua who had also maintained the position of her late husband on the reopening.

My husband has been sick for a month now. The problem started when he lost almost a million naira in a business deal. All of a sudden he lost so much weight, so I attributed it to the depression that he passed through as a result of the loss.

After like 2weeks he recovered the money and since then I noticed that he became sick, he has being coughing for more than 3weeks now, he suffers fatigue, chills, severe chest pain and general body pains. We have gone for test and the result said it's pneumonia. He has taken Drugs but it's till like that. He till coughs and feels fatigue everytime.

The issue now is that am worried and my mind is telling me that he might have covid 19. Please am scared. What should I do at this point.

Bolt has blocked them bad Riders , they are now using Uber that doesn't care for Drivers anymore.

That's how I carried one on Indriver on Monday night, she said her friend just introduced her to Indriver that it's Uber she uses but cos it was past twelve she needed an alternative. Got to her destination, she did transfer, I saw her debit but didnt take note of the amount. When she went inside I got my alert of 1k instead of 2,700. I called her back she no pick, I reported her to Indrive immediately, I was so pissed, I was determined to get this girl. I came back to d hotel and parked beside d gate. Infact I was ready to stay there till morning just to confront her. After about 20mins she came back out to look for taxis outside d hotel cos Indriver had blocked her. Immediately she saw me, she felt like disappearing or entering d ground I told her u sent me 1k and refused to pick my calls and she was blabbing that it was a mistake etc "why didn't u pick my calls" she said she was busy when she went inside. Okay "why didn't u call me back when u finished ur rounds?" She say make I forget that one she go complete my money, can I take her back. I asked her complete my money first, and that her return journey is 5k.
She started begging that I reduce d fare, its too much, it's late, she can't get cab etc
Finally, on our way she told me that's how other drivers will be threatening/insulting her, that she doesn't like threats that she has d mind to send d money later when she has but once threat and insult comes in or Bolt blocks her, she doesn't bother to send d money again. That she has 3lines Bolt has blocked all. That this Indriver she will register with another sim. I was like, If I knew this is d kind of person u r, I 4 no carry u...u for find ur way home by urself. I took her through where there is police, incase she carry drugs or weed, make they arrest am. But she lie give police say she get pant and menstrual pad inside d bag that he can't search her bag that's how she escaped.

So Bolt is weeding them out, am just surprised Uber has drastically changed for worse because of desperation to keep Riders.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare Tuesday restated the immense contribution of the Sokoto Caliphate to the Socio-Economic development of Nigeria, asserting it formed the foundation of Islamic renaissance of the Northern region.

In his remarks, yesterday as the Special Guest of Honour at the public presentation of the book; "The Sokoto Caliphate" by Murray Last, Dare highlighted the significance of the Caliphate, which he stated extended beyond the shores of Nigeria, making up the boundaries of the present-day Cameroun, Burkina Faso and Niger.

"Having had my roots in the North, born and bred there, I have been particularly fascinated by the history of Sokoto, its Sultanate and the evolution of the Caliphate, which formed the foundation of islamization of Northern Nigeria".

"This book is an eye-opener into the evolution of the Sokoto Caliphate, the ascendancy of the Sultan into a pre-eminent position amongst traditional rulers and Islamic leaders in the country, and the contribution of the Sultanate to the socio-economic development of Northern Nigeria, and by extension, parts of West-Africa", the Minister added.

Whilst recommending "The Sokoto Caliphate" for students of History and those passionate about learning the political evolution in the North, the Minister expressed optimism that the literary piece will occupy a pride of place in libraries across the country, particularly those of tertiary institutions.

Dare commended the author for his foresight in bringing to light the history of the Caliphate which dates back to the sixteenth century, adding that lessons learnt from the chronicle of events that shaped the Caliphate - the political, educational and conflict resolution model, can be building blocks for development of the Nation.

Dignitaries that graced the book launch include Emir of Zazzau, Alh. Nuhu Bamalli, Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Power, Aliyu Magaji, former Minister of FCT, Aliyu Moddibo, Alh. Nasiru Danu amongst others.
