I have said it and will keep saying it, since Indriver came onboard Bolt and Uber became a shadow of themselves.

Indriver is not the kind of competition needed in Nigeria ehailing system.

Mind you comrades, b4 indriver started charging and Uber/Bolt has been having a stiff competition about their price increase... Shebi it was N10/min at some point and Uber was N11/min and N65/km while Uber was N67/km but now its about 70+/km or thereabouts.

Remember when fuel was increased we and one of jpworld 's last comment on this thread was that the partial increment by Uber/Bolt commensarate the increase of pump price from N145 to N165 or thereabouts... I wonder if that guy is still in business now self... I'd really like to know but that's by the way tho.

So indriver is the killer to ehailing business and if Bolt and Uber don't find a strategy to take this guys off I'm afraid the business will die in a matter of years to come, because drivers who are the frontiers are not making any profit anymore it's only a matter of time b4 many drivers start realising this.

How do you expect Bolt/Uber to increase price when another app is ready to take that same trip for far less? Take for instance I was at lekki gardens axis yesterday and I was just looking at prices on Indriver...

Sangotedo to far Int'L Airport, Ayobo, Alagbado where picked for 4, 5k the highest offer I saw was 5.5k and these offers didn't last 5secs and never came back again unlike b4 you'll see them come up again if you don't getrit forget about it

Bolt and Uber as well contributed to indriver gaining ground because how in heaven sake would you block a driver who has completed over 2000 trips in less than 8months and all they can say is cancellation and rating... That's nonsense!!!

This left a lot of drivers with no other choice than jump ship because they've to make ends meet and it tied them to what they call freedom, no completion rate, no cancellation rate, no acceptance rate, nothing.

What I think Uber/Bolt should start from to push indriver to the edge is for them to first change their policy of blocking drivers, then unblocked all drivers and give them a bumber bonus to come back onboard, then start introducing surge especially on Mondays, Fridays and week ends. Me I don't belong to the school of thought that it's absence of drivers that make up surge... These things can be manipulated.

Doing this will send a signal to indriver as well to increase their own price to stastoscope.

The most annoying one is the festive period, the other time I said out of about 9trips I completed in December period only 2 where surge and the surge was not even up to 1.9x but pearl1910 argued it's not possible. I just ignored...thank God he's a veteran in the job, can he compare his last December earnings to previous once? The margin will shock anyone.

Indriver is to blame not just the system because Uber/Bolt can't hike price just like that otherwise riders will dump their app and go to a cheaper one where they know even traffic won't change the price

InDriver dropped their prices in order to undercut Bolt promo prices...only they cannot afford to offer promo to riders so their own promo comes out of the driver's pocket

Shebi they want freedom from cancellation rate and completion rate...there is price to pay for every freedom in this life

Pure water as at then was 65naira per bag now is 220-250 naira.

Danfo oworo to obalende 100 then 300-500 now
Rice 20k - 30-35k now

Tyre rim 15 tokumbo 4K - 12-14k now with Abeg
To fix tyre was 300-500 but now is 800-1500k with Abeg.

Hub Corolla regular Coro for Uber used to be 8-10k max but now 25k for one side 50k for both side to even see original nko na another Israelite journey.

Tokumbo Coro was 1.650-1.9m now is 3.2-3.5M.

Alternative car for e-hailing Hyundai Elantra 2009 used to be 1.3-1.5m it’s sold for 2.7-3m now same goes to civic.

Did you know? If you give your wife 100k today or you carry 100k go market today, you wouldn’t even understand how the money take go off with few things you buy in market. Why? inflation coursed it.

So why all these analysis? ——- is for you as a driver/partner/car owner to guide your car very well.

Don’t accept any worthless trip all in the name of keeping driver score or bull-sh….t. Protect your car as a new born baby. Because in next few months prices of cars and spare parts will increase if not triple it’ll be doubled. And you know one silly thing about naija Nothing goes up in prices ever comes down again.

Have a second plan :- be it japa, another business, or try and save to source for any African country you can easily migrate and create a little business not everybody will make it to Canada.

Try and check for online programs:- check for Coursera, udemy etc they’ve got google certified courses in which you could do for 3-6months and land your remote dream job.

Make research for some country whereby you can start a little spare part, selling of clothes, creative makeup artist, hair dresser businesses etc…. You can easily check Rwanda, Botswana, Ivory Coast etc… I didn’t say you should go now this is just a clue make a research yourself don’t give any agent a dime google and YouTube can help you out.

Don’t over stress your car for now. The day your car break down and you’re looking for money to buy engine or gear is the day you’ll know that life is hard.

E-hailing can never and will never give you that millions-billions you’re looking for they’re just designed to kill your cars and you yourself.

Yes it’s a luxury that supposed to come with prices of luxury. But you know what? Greediness of Nigerians/African/competitions kill it.

You can have 10years experience in driving e-hailing but the truth is that e-hailing can’t increase your knowledge and career experiences. Rather, it’ll reduce you to zero levels.

Think and think today. There’s no age limit in starting new things. I thank God for how early I started and I appreciate God how my life is turning around.

But don’t forget one thing, I’m not discouraging you for driving Uber/bolt because I’m a bolt driver too and I'll never do that. But I’m trying to let you understand that you should use e-hailing savings as a stepping stone for your future greatness.

You can see heavy dashboard and mere looking at the driver that earns that million on app alone will make you sick. Driver facial will Looks over stress, scary and un-happy. Unfortunately all the money he makes will somehow find itself back to mechanic and car part dealers in few week/months.

How can you make 800k e-money and have 50k physical cash (I’m been sarcastic here but you know the truth).

I’m not blaming anybody but you as a driver be it rental or hire purchase, try and make sure you work smart and have a good saving culture. Don’t give up apply for your passport now because it’ll be more stressful as time goes on.

Apply for that course today. That money/time to apply tommorow might not come Tommrow.

Try that business today your destiny helper might come from the business and you’re just dragging e-hailing thinking you’ll meet them there.

Tinubu is in Distress – Okorocha opens up, makes revelation

A former Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha has attacked the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his 2023 Presidential ambition.

Okorocha, during an interview on Arise TV, disclosed that Tinubu was in ‘Distress’ adding that he was acting like the 2023 presidency should be given to him as ‘a reward’.

In his words; “I think it’s just natural, and that everybody should know, and I don’t know what’s behind the mind of Tinubu but I respect him a lot, but I think Tinubu is in distress because he feels that it’s a time to compensate him on the basis of the role he played in the formation of APC which some of us were part of it,” he said.

The controversial politician added that the 2023 presidency should be zoned to the South-East.

“He [Tinubu] believed that he has made people and this is the time people should allow him or make him or something. More like a reward system. But more than that, we are talking about the nation called Nigeria. We have to have a nation first before personal and individual sentiments will come into play,”

Okorocha made headlines on Tuesday afternoon after his Maitama home was beseiged by officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The serving senator raised alarm adding that the anti-graft commission was holding him ‘hostage’ in order to stop him from participating in the APC presidential screening exercise.

I don't know if it's the right section for this, I happened to visit a friend of mine and he wasn't home, so I stood by the gate contemplating if I should go and come back later or wait a little longer. Suddenly people started running to and fro, inside their houses. One guy even left his smart phone in the chair he was sitting opposite a provision shop. Ah, all this while I just stood there wondering what's happening, before some set of vans of police drove pass the narrow street. they didn't even stop they were going somewhere else.

As everybody around me dey japa so I decided to give it a thought. I work with a fintech company and net a little over =N=600k monthly. I am considering relocating to either UK,Germany,New Zealand, Australia or Canada. I am married with four kids. They said study route is the best .

A few of my colleagues that travelled just dey dull my ginger. My Oga who nets over 750k, we spoke today and he is considering a security man job, and claims net pay is over 2M monthly. Biko I cannot come and kill myself.

My friend, we spoke this evening and he responded oboy make I no lie you, na shit i dey pack for here, the good news is they say it will always get better with time. What if person no come eventually become citizen, is it a must you go become citizen.

I don talk to over 10 persons today and they all saying everything is though. Me I don't like stress, where me and wify go dey overwork just dey pay bills. Ofcourse I no get strength for menial jobs, make one oyibo use me take dey shine lol....

I no get any exceptional skill, I be sales man ooo.

Would you advise I still gamble and go with family abi make I hold my job oooo.

What actually happened was that a friend of his contacted him about an opening in their company.

The friend works with one QI group of companies.

The QI group of companies is supposed to be an international organizations that pays in dollars.

So my elder brother left Owerri to Lagos on a night bus yesterday. He was well received by his friend and according to him, he did the interview with some representatives of the company.

After the interview, he was asked to pay a whopping sum of 480k for the slot.

My questions now are: how and where will an unemployed get money to pay for a job slot?

If someone can be able to make 480k, why will the person be job hunting?

Is QI group of companies even legit or a scam?
Why can't the government really regulate all these thing?

I'm a young hustling guy, I made 500k and told my mum I need to utilise it very well, which she's very happy about it. She suggested I should buy a land which I agreed.
She told my sister and my sister tell her husband, the husband said there's a place someone wanted to sell very close to their place, I told my mum to go and check it because I was not around, she went and she said the place is good that I should make payment then i told them to send those people account number, to my surprise it my sister husband number they sent, I had to call him and put the call on a record, he said the owner of the property is old that if I should send the money to her and if she said she didn't see it, it will be a problem, I said ok. I made the payment and to my surprise they didn't pay for the place they told me they went ahead to pay for a very small piece of land at the rate of 750k without my consent. this man brainwashed my mum that she had to go and borrow 250k to complete the payment without telling me, I came back from travel on Saturday and went there to check it, I was very pissed off immediately I told him I'm interested they should return my money, he didn't pick my call from Monday till Wednesday then i get him arrested on Wednesday and said I need my money back, he was even confident at the station and the police is yet to do anything about it, I have to get the number of the person that sold the place, he told me this man just paid him on Monday after I said I don't want the place and the he told my mum and sister that he paid immediately I sent the money.
Please I need your help because I can't even think very well again
