andrewza: Source.
you ask me source for new nigerian airforce flying leopard II jets ? which source did you post for your claim that south african GV6 artillery can shoot 100km ? maybe it can even shoot a range up to the moon ?

i have source, i am not a careless person. i have my fellow nigerians in this forum and i will not want to disappoint them with posting of information that has no source. i have more than source, i have details of the purchase with many other heavy weapons. nigerian military has gone wild with billions of dollars weapons purchasing now.

i will post not just source, i will post the whole process of how nigeria bought the leopard with other heavy weapons for our army, and the L-15 trainer jets too.
just wait till i scare snydergp to d.eath with these leopards, he cannot sleep now, he's having nightmare of nigerian airforce b.ombing his house in south africa, i guess he wants to dig a hole in the bedroom to his his children but they are too many, he has a large family, no birth control !

pleep: But ill admit that you guys are light-years ahead of Nigeria when it comes to actual hardware development and military infrastructure.

.... The Nigerian military is just a straw stabbed in the back of the country sucking money for Europe and Asia. Agaugust & Co' we havent created anything so we really have nothing to be proud of here... the Nigerian military is a joke.
you are wrong. Nigeria manufactures weapons from machine guns to mortars to night vision equipment to bullet proof vests to armoured personnel carriers to unmanned air drones, and all productions are increasing every day, also we will soon manufacture heavy artilery.

Many years ago Nigeria produced the air beetle aircraft we stopped due to government lack of support from the military politicians of those past years. Try spend time to see their posts and photos from pages 15 to 95 page of this thread topic, you missed the action those days. Air beetle aircraft was not posted but I can do that tomorrow, its a Nigerian light aircraft air force trainer produced some years ago

please stop wasting our time here with south African Rooivalk helicopter that no country wants to buy and it has never been battle tested.

South Africa made strategic business mistake by producing a helicopter with no market to sell it, and more photos of it were made than number of real life physical production of the Rooivalk.

Next time learn to walk before you run.

Please do us favour here and stop wasting our time on a half d.ead south African helicopter project.

Thanks

snydergp: Now what utter nonsense its the first time I've heard that a relic 2nd generation jet is better then a 4th generation fighterhuh

I will now dismiss your foolishness with facts.

1)The Gripen has a max rate of climb of 300m/s-54ft/min.
-The F-7 has a rate of climb of 155 to max 180m/s

2)The Gripen has a max speed of 2470km
-The F-7 has a max speed of 2120km

3)The Gripen has 800km a operational radius of 1550km in combat mode, and a 3250km with external Fuel tank.
-F-7 has a operational range of 1340km(external with external drop tank)

4)-The Gripen has a combat radius of 800km(without external tank). Here is the link
http://airrecognition.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=148

-The F-7 has a combat radius of 850km(459nmi, 528mi,) this is with 3 drop tanks. Here is the link
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chengdu_J-7

5)Gripen has altitude operational ceiling of 45000-50000m above sea level
-The F-7 has a altitude ceiling of 16,500-17,800m.

6) The Gipen uses a PS-05/A Pulsor-Doppler X-band radar which is based on the Blue Vixen radar, same as the Eurofighters Captor radar. The detection range is 120km(74mi), and can automatically track multiple targets in the Lower and Upper Spheres.

-The F-7 uses a British type 226 Skyranger radar with a detection range of 15km

7) The gripen has a Beyond Visual Range rating of 85%
-The F-7 has a Beyond Visual Range rating of 42%

Now if that figures makes the Chengdu J-7 aka F-7 a better aircraft then the Gripen JAS-39C, then its your problem.

One Gripen has the capability to hold its own against 3-4 F-7 interms of armourment and avoinics and that's a fact. Any credible airforce in the world would choose 4 Gripens over 12 F-7's any day in a air-to-air thread.

Now please continue with your stup*idy because everyone here can now asses for themselves who's talking nonsense.

This is the worst comparison I've ever seen on this thread please stop wasting my time on such bull.

F00LISH south african, your country's educational system produces men who have difficulty in using their brains well. read my post again on page 107 or read the quote of it in your own post on this page 108 top.

i never said F-7 is better than Grippen, i clearly said at the introduction to my post that....i quote and repeat my words below

agaugust :

Grippen is a far better jet fighter than the F-7, but some areas people dont notice, the F-7 is superior to Grippen

F-7 jet has a combat range 50km longer than Grippen
F-7 gun/cannon is double while Grippen is single gun
F-7 climbs to 7,000 ft higher than Grippen
y.our brain cannot do good analysis and mathematics, thats why you spoke with no.nsens.e
the wikipedia combat radius for F-7 is with drop tanks and it leads grippen, but grippens ferry range is with drop tanks and it leads F-7.

i decided to avoid the confusion of drop tanks and i went to another respected websit to confirm both the F-7 combat radius and it is same 850km as i posted and the Grippen combat radius is same 800km as i posted. the website is airforce-technology.com and it is exteremly trusted and reliable here in america. the weblink reliable source for that is,

http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/j7f7fighteraircraft/

other data i posted are also very correct, speed is the same, and F-7 climbs higher (NOT FASTER, GO AND LEARN ENGLISH LANGUAGE) than Grippen and that is what is technically called service ceiling you bush man of south african village.

i quote, copy, paste the wikipedia data below. dont waste my time snydergp, i am more intelligent than you are, so keep quiet.

Grippen

Performance

Maximum speed: Mach 2 (2,204 km/h, 1,372 mph) at altitude

Ferry range: 3,200 km (2,000 mi) with drop tanks
Service ceiling: 15,240 m (50,000 ft)

weblink source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_JAS_39_Gripen

F-7

Performance

Maximum speed: Mach 2.0 (2,200 km/h (1,189 knots, 1,375 mph)) IAS
Combat radius: 850 km (459 nmi, 528 mi) (air superiority, two AAMs and three drop tanks)
Ferry range: 2,200 km (1,187 nmi, 1,367 mi)

south Africa is wasting its time and money to modify and upgrade a half d.ead Rooivalk helicopter gunship project. You cannot compete in international market against Russia and America. South Africans always over- rate themselves, that's why they always get disappointments and final defeat.

Try learn to walk before you run. Nigeria is very careful about jumping too fast in weapons marketing, try learn from us and build cheaper and easy to maintain weapons that can compete with China because the Chinese are selling billions of dollars weapons right under your long nose here in African market.

not even one single Rooivalk helicopter has been sold for many years and NOBODY will buy this bad market product you are boasting about. Rooivalk is more likely to become d.ead than alive.

Go market it in your south African village. Your Rooivalk is a big international failure and all the noise you make here cannot sell it. Put half of it in storage like your money wasting Grippen jets.

[b] that's what we have been telling the south Africans on this forum that Nigerian military is buying a lot of brand new modern weapons and they will not publish the information for Nigerians to knows, then we have to be searching foreign sources on internet to get military weapons information about our own country. Nigerian military has tradition of secrecy. If you don't have access to UN international weapons sales log register you cannot know all Nigerian weapons new purchases.

we can only find a few of these new Nigerian weapons by hard work of searching other websites all over the world. Look at Nigerian army website, no single weapon information or photos, the picture gallery is empty and Nigerian army is happy to keep it like that deliberately.

Compare south African army website and see full detailed information and photos of all their weapons.

there are many unreported and unpublished new weapons of Nigerian military. I have some lucky finding of some of them, including the 3 mysterious fast attack navy gunboats that appeared at Lagos shipyard, 25 Romanian mobile rocket artillery systems, 25 extra palmaria mobile artillery Nigeria purchased after the first batch, and now many heavy and modern Chinese weapons are pouring every month into Nigerian military arsenal and armoury and no public information about them. I don't think anybody on this forum has full access to UN international weapons sales log register.

we shall continue to educate the public on this forum and also w.arn the south African military not to be received by their white masters, Nigerian military is too strong for them to defeat, we have many new weapons they don't know about and we have been showing them on nairaland so that they don't risk to try war with Nigeria, it will be south Africa's last war, after that battle, south African army will cease to exist above the ground, the go down below to the g.rave.

...................APACHE HELICOPTER GUNSHIP BEATS ROOIVALK.................

As a flying machine (but not as a fighting machine) the Rooivalk is first class.

But its Rooivalk avionics system, a magnificent achievement for local industry when it was developed and integrated in the late 1980s, is today as obsolete as a dinosaur’s brain.

This is a key reason in Denel’s failure to export the aircraft. No one will buy a warplane whose avionics system is based on 20-year-old computers.

The unit cost of the Rooivalk is about $40- million, this makes it as expensive as the Boeing Apache and the Eurocopter Tiger, the latest models of which have state-of-the-art avionics, and much more expensive than the smaller AgustaWestland Mangusta/Mongoose, and the Russian Mi-24/35 family.

weblink source http://www.engineeringnews.co.za/article/what-went-wrong-with-the-rooivalk-2007-06-08-1

Mi-35 Hind may also be rated superior to Rooivalk because Hind simply because has been battle tested for over 20 years in its various new versions, the Rooivalk has zero battle testing, never fired one shot in a real war.

...............F-7 JET Vs GRIPPEN JET...................

F-7 is easy and cheap to maintain for all time operation. Grippen is expensive to maintain and may need to be withdrawn from use into storage to save costs

F-7 has been dis-assembled into pieces and re-assembled by nigerian air force engineers on several times. No Grippen buyer has been able to dis-assemble and re-assemble it because it is complicated.

Both jets have the same speed

Nigerian version of F-7 is the latest and customized with modern electronics and hardware including
:

*Carries TWO 30mm auto-cannons (not ONE, as is the case with older versions)

*British Type 226 Skyranger radar: Ranging radar with a range of 15 km.

*British Type 956 HUDAWAC: This HUD has a build-in weapon aiming computer.

*British Type 50-048-02 digitized air data computer.

*American converter that is over 30% more efficient in comparison to the original Chinese converter.

*American Type 0101-HRA/2 radar altimeter with range increased to 1.5 km in comparison to the original 0.6 km of the Chinese radar altimeter it had replaced.

* British AD-3400 secured radio with range in excess of 400 km at 1.2 km altitude.

*Other improvement includes domestic newly designed CW-1002 air data sensor developed in conjunction with the western avionics, and WP-7B/WP-7BM engine.

*A totally different wing enabled the take-off and landing distance to be reduced by 20%, while increasing the aerodynamic performance in dogfights.

*Nigerian F7-NI version is a more advanced development than FG-7M, and even the older is about 40% more effective than MiG-21 in terms of overall performance.
It can use French R550 Magic and PL-7 Air-to-air missiles.

NAF F-7 jet is not the same as the 1980 F-7, jets. the Nigerian NAF version is the final development and with technology of about year 2005, that is 25 years more advanced than the original F-7. so for nigeria, its not a bad deal for =N= 15 million price for each F-7 jet.

I have a big surprise post for this forum on monday morning by 8am, i will post a hot news. i reserve it for posting monday morning

Capnd143: good day bro! You havnt answered my question! You guys said you toke a stroll to a military museum and asked about a possibility of a country to acquire arms secretly and the person said it aint possible . . . Well its with deep regrets that i tell you my freind that who ever said that is a Gargantous Liar!!! Unless you have an explanation for all the spartan APC's i have seen in army barracks but never in an inventory
source 1: http://beegeagle./2013/03/14/world-exclusive-an-array-of-three-alvis-scorpion-tanks-and-six-alvis-spartan-apcs-photo-credit-nigerian-army/#comments
---
and you should also have an explanation to thousands of 4wDs in security service that i havnt seen in inventories . . . Every quarter of the year the FG donates hundreds of 4WD to the police, mopol and army, the state govt also does same to booast morale, it is also a general thing in Nigeria, whenever NGO are donating to the police, navy, army etc the give Hundreds of military 4WDs, recently rice importers donated 150 military 4WD's, consumers association did same every month, year
----
you should also explain to me why all the gunboats constantly donated by state governors to navy operatives are never in the inventory, also why helicopters bought by state government are not there too . . . .

|look bro . . I am not being told this stuff, bt i live in Nigeria and i see this happen first hand! Even in remote under-developed areas, you still see up to 50 4WD's to some extent that its one seargent(with 2 men) one car some time leading to abuses . .
God bless you for this comments of truth

DictatorZAR: The A400M which SAAF should've taken hold of by early 2011 but was delayed due to BAE and Airbus development problem will be available to the SAAF by January 2014, but SA defense minister wants the contract to be renegotiated because of cost overruns, before going ahead with the acquisition of 12 new airlift giants.

What's even more welcoming is the deal between SA's holy-state-owned Denel Aerospace and Airbus deal that would allow DAE to manufactures two major work packages on the A400M, the Wing-To-Fuselage and the top shells which forms part of the aircrafts mainframe.

This development is another confidence booster to SA's world class Aerospace industry and would only boost DENEL's turnaround 2014 strategy even further.

DictatorZAR i have totally f.inished you and proved you a liar, i copied and quoted your false claims above and its from page 103, and i highlighted your lies in the opening paragraph you falsely claimed south african airforce is buying the jumbo jet A400M and that 12 of this new airlift giants will be available in south african air force by 2014.

i went to university if you dont know, and i made a first class BSc grade and MSc with distinction, and i am an american trained reseacher, you cannot F00L me easily !

all i said in that post on page 103 of nigerian israeli made sea drone is directly copied from Janes's defence publishing and the weblink was provided, even andrewza was not bold enough to deny it.

Msauza quote, copy, paste, refer to and mention page, and copy out the exact comments i made which you say are lied. do it today or else you remain a F00L forever ! I have f.inished DictatorZAR and i will f.inish Msauza too in one day !

this is the second big lie by DictatorZAR, south afrian airforce did NOT purchase the huge aeroplane below, they only wanted to produce some spare parts and sell the spare parts to airbus company. all south africans are born with dishonest in their b.lood

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
DictatorZAR: SAAF midair refueling, and formation flying

this is big lie number one by DictatorZAR the south african, there is NO mid-air refuelling aeroplane in south african airforce

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
DictatorZAR: What's your problem with all the over exaggerated claims you continuesly make when you try to make a point and when you loose you try to belittle people. I've noticed that this a a distinct personality treat of you.angry

Now let me start with your claim on the Seastar USV
1) The seastar has a 300nautical mile radios (you said it can cover the entire 800km nigerian coastline). Lies
2)The seastar has a 10hr holding time (you said it can be operational for up to 14hrs) another lie
3)The 2500kg payload is for sensors, surveillance systems (you said it can carry anti ship missiles) Your a funny GUY
http://www.aeronautics-sys.com/seastar_unmanned_surface_vechile_usv

The Seastar from the what I've seen from the manfacturers and operators specifications specify are to small for missile systems integration Now who should we trust you or the Isreali's who manufactured the USV

Now have you ever been on a naval ship do you know anything about arms(don't tell me about your socalled military consultancy job) its been proven you "lie" a lot.

Reading properly and educating oneself has never been a crime I would strongly advise you to do likewise. You may write better then a few others on this forum but the knowledge you display proves you are less competent.

DictatorZAR
, you carelessly put the double barrel of a G.un inside your own mouth and fired it. let me show you how you commited s.uicide by trying to accuse me when i am innocent.

you say i post lies about nigerian weapons, NO I DONT LIE;

i never said those things you accused me of above, you took my comments and re-arranged it and changed the interpretation just to spoil my name , me original post is on page 103 for the public to read and see my innocence you are the big liar and not me. see the proofs below.

1. you a big intentional lie with posted photos and comments of south african grippen jets re-fuelling in mid-air on page 66, but south african airforce does NOT have air refuelling aeroplanes ! where is it on the website of the air force if you have it? even andrewza is not bold enough to lie to me about this because the whole world knows.

2. you posted another big delibrate on page 103 huge transport plane A400 claiming south african airforce bought 12 of it to be delivered in 2014 and you posted a weblink. i opened your weblink and the story say south africa wishes to be asked to supply some spare parts to airbus as a business deal of spare parts marketing NOT to buy the huge aeroplanes.

i quote now from your weblink as i have opened the website :

"..... 18 September 2012 South African state-owned defence equipment manufacturer Denel and Airbus Military have signed a new agreement with revised terms for manufacturing components for the A400M military transport aircraft.....". south african airforce we are still talking about yesterday that they cannot maintain small sized 26 Grippen jets because they lack money, so how will the same south africa maintain 12 huge sized jumbo A4OO military transport aeroplanes?

your two big lies are copied and quoted below with the fake photos for the whole world to see how shameless a south african man can be, you are a big disgrace to south africa for being so dishonest and then turn to falsely accuse me an innocent person of lying.

you are a big time f.raudster DICTATOR ZAR, i just exposed you now.
i dare you to challenge me again, you this south african c.riminal fraudulent liar of the highest order.
