Msauza: What part of the world do you live, supposedly the air around the atmosphere of that area is full of arichnine that give you a lot of these hallucinations. Link us with a proof and don't tell us manufacturing armoured vehicles is also a secret.you were in your village hunting bush meat when nigerian manufactured weapons were posted here with photos and weblinks. i am not a F00L like you south africans, go back to pages 12 to 85 of this forum aqnd find it, i dont waste time with adult F00LS like you. |
snydergp: Oil is no longer as profitable for Nigeria because there are many new far more stable producers like Ghana and Angola who is set to overtake you as the biggest producer in Africa in 5 years time even US are importing less from nigeria and will become self reliant in 2017when i go to church next sunday i will thank God that my nigerian brain is not like that of a south african.... |

andrewza: it was a test round and done at test in the middel east. it was just a test round. trying to find a artical on it.then its not reliable and must have a booster projectile to help it go far. lets work with what can be effective in battle and can be confirmed on free internet, otherwise posts and comments will lose reliability. snydergp says GV6 can with stand anti-tank missle, is that the way south africans tell lies in your country? maybe jacob zuma's official car can also with stand a nuclear missile because the car is made in south africa. i think your country men dont appreciate the honour of being a man with integrity |

andrewza: The G6 has a longer range (up to 100km with the new rounds), faster road speed and off road speed, higher fire rate, and far greater protection. 100km range for GV6 ? quote web source. i googled both Archer and GV6 speed, rate of fire, range and most other vital techs are about the same. prove your claim. |
snydergp: Compare the bofors vs G6-52Rhino specs and then u come and talk nonsense, and by the way the bofors is a BAE systems artillery system not a holy Swedish product and its a commercial truck chassis not on a purpose built chassis like the G6 which can with stand anti-tank missile fire and 360% degree 14.64mm direct attack armour piercing guns including anti-tank landmines due to its V-lap hull. No compare that to the Bofors archer which has less range can only fire in a 180 degree angle, has less projectile firing rate and no self defense against tanks or anti-tank missiles.illiterate man out-dated mugu, the two companies have merged to form BAE SYSTEMS BOFORS-SWEDEN. google it you backward man quote the web source for all these lies you are telling, post the source for both GV6 and Archer with all those specifications you claim. big lier you can even say your GV6 armour can withstand a nuclear missile. big lier. i wont let you waste my time, you have no job, unemployed man |
snydergp: The Palmaria is outdated 1980's artillery which has been fazed out in many of its users like Brazil, Argentina and Italy and not even a match for the G5 105m or 155 howziter not even taking into account the G6-52 or the G7 still under development.poor research by snydergp, i googled both archer and GV6 no real difference in range and mobility...they all have tyres to be mobile. speed and range and rate of fire is about the same for both. only 10km diffrence in shooting range. go back to do research and dont waste peoples time here. palmaria is not as old as the ratel that south africa is still using, why didnt your army throw away all their ratel armoured vehicles? your ratel entered service 1974, our palmaria entered service 1982. who is older and outdated ? every army including america has some older weapons still working fine. palmaria will back up the archer to add to numbers for nigerian army. if they fire nigerian palmaria artillery, you can put your children in front of the gun because it was made in 1982. dont paint your south african weapons with colours as if they are spirits from heaven. when fire meet fire, na dat time we go know who be boss. nigerian archer artillery guns were made with year 2011 technology and is one of the best and most advanced in the whole of europe and america. nigeria army mobile artillery 98 guns, double of south african 43 guns. go and s.hut up snydergp. game over.

capnd143 maybe we need to slow down to count nigerian weapons. i will try make out time to do a list also. its not easy putting nigerian military weapons total numbers together, people had to ask wikipedia to update nigerian army artillery guns numbers recorded several times we were under-reported and up till now. we had to get the missing figures from other websites and inform wikipedia. agin they did not record nigerias new rocket artillery from romania. nigerian military does not care about giving you all the details, they dont even want you to know all their weapons. it takes lots of extra research for us to post on this forum, not easy work my brother. today i promise to post photos and weapon details of the two nigerian navy new stealth warships light frigates coming soon from china. wikipedia never reported it, but thank God president jonathan and finance minister metioned it to the public when the our israeli shaldag gun boats matter came up saying that we paid in full amout for the warships long time ago. i also gathered from global security website globalsecurity.org that nigeria paid for chinese modern hi-tech jet fighters in advance to replace the F-7 jets, lost of money is being paid to china for weapons since 2003 or so. a lot of advance payment in billions of dollars has been paid by nigeria for weapons. the nigerian military never cares about giving all the full information to public and china too collect money close mouth no talk...coconut head asian people ![]() |
south africans if you have time to waste continue to argue about defence budget, there is enough common sense for a Phd degree holder to see in what i wrote about the difference between nigerian and south african government accounting systems. leave nigeria alone to spend her money the way she likes. face your own south african domestic problems. |
. |
andrewza: It a good gun but dose not beat the G652 and 60km was acheived with speciol rounds are they part of the deal. i didnt say archer beats GV6 in range, but in numbers of mobile artillery nigerian army 98 guns now beats south african army 46 guns. rate of shelling per minutes matters in artillery duel to avoid being out-gunned, the guns are mobile and move at 70km per hr, good artillery commander will advance to close in the gap and cut off range difference, especially with more guns, he can open two front-lines of attack and pincer formation is deadly. both guns use boosters/enhancement projectile to shoot longer. archer needs booster to shoot beyond 40km and GV6 needs booster projectile to shoot beyond 50km. i googled both of them and spent my time on the research. new issues now is that SPH recoil of guns kills vehicle chasis, hence archer turret is at tail end of chasis, GV6 i am not sure it has that protection as the turret is right in the middle of the vehicle chasis...thr recoil of a 155mm will slowly kill the vehicle chasis as time goes on. thats a new observation in military engineering circles now. archer may last longer in service if GV6 has that issue. see position of the nigerian archer gun turret at the back of the chassis to reduce recoil shock on the vehicle

andrewza i guess maybe capdn143 is adding up all NAF aircraft including aeroplanes, helicopters, air transport, maritime, air trainers, air utility, including both jets and propellers engine and all those together. then he can have that figure over 120 aircraft. |
pleep sorry sir, nigeria does not need doubters like you...i see you lack the true rugged can-do-it spirit of naija...i dey sorry for you o ! go back to pages 12 to 84 of this thread/topic and see phots and detailed information of all the light and heavy weapons nigeria is now manufacturing locally at home, including a small warship/patrol boat and unmanned aircraft drone, plus armoured personnel carriers. old boy, you don lost behind o! try to wake-up...abi na village you dey for nigeria ? |
No, its Vs South Africa, just in case they are careless to test Nigeria...lol ![]() |

agaugust: Budget Argument - Nigeria Vs South Africa |
Budget Argument - Nigeria Vs South Africa there is need to just close this issue over-flogged. both countries have a different public sector accounting and funding laws and regulations, as well as fiscal and monetary policies being very different. the south africans need to understand that nigeria spends its money in a different way both for budgets and contingencies (emergency/unexpected crisis/events) we have several types of nigerian government accounts where we keep money. the federation account and the consolidated revenue funds are the main government sector accounts in nigeria. however, we have several special accounts for keeping surplus funds usually cash dollars from oil and gas sales. one is the excess crude oil sales account. another is the new dedicated account as a future reserve fund for a percentage of all nigerian oil sales. both accounts contain billions of dollars and keep growing daily, the more oil we sell, the more they grow fat. nigeria has a defence budget approved every year, true, but there is a provision in nigerian constitution which empowers the president to request senate approval for the disbursement for extra funds beyond the budget, from any of the special accounts in case of emergency defence or security needs. my problem with all the south africans on this forum is that they think only in one straight line, maybe thats the way south africans are trained to think...but it wont help them go very far. no insult intended, this is a black man's advice to fellow black men. i discovered this thinking pattern in them when we argue about military weapons, south african thinking is not flexible and hardly thinks outside the box. also, they dont flow well with complex issues. the use of these special funds makes the budget for defence to be just the basic minimum amount to spend. the special accounts can be used until exhausted without any limit once the executive and legislature agree and approve the extra spending. this happened in the first term of ex-president obasanjo who got the senate to approve extra half a billion dollars as first installment cash for preparing nigerian military equipment for war in the bakassi peninsula, it took only one day to get approval for this extra spending outside the budget from the reserve account. current dollar reserve account of nigeria is about $50 billion. this is different and separate from the dedicated future reserve account from daily oil sales. nigerian defence budget has been supported again during the current jonathan era for over a billion dollars used for urgent security and defense issues. details are not revealed because nigerian law allows a level of secrecy because national security is involved in the use of those funds. please south africans find something else to argue about and leave nigeria's budget alone, you are not technically competent to teach us how to spend our money, nigeria's minister for finance is a vice-president of the world bank with her Phd degree and she has one of the best financial brains in the world. |
Msauza: Is been 20years now since the ANC has taken over, yet there is so much to be done and tell me how the hell will Nigeria ever achieve all that in 7-10years with a population of approximately 170 million. How will the government of Nigeria provide every household with clean running tap water, sewage system, 24hrs power supply and above it with free housing and grants to the poor. Will all that be a possibility in 7 years? Oh no, heaven kno sorry to dissappoint you msauza, Nigeria is not competing with south Africa, you are not the standard we want to match, Nigerian is focusing on the Asian tigers like south Korea to copy, NOT south Africa, sorry. |
sorry to dissappoint you msauza, Nigeria is not competing with south Africa, you are not the standard we want to match, Nigerian is focusing on the Asian tigers like south Korea to copy, NOT south Africa, sorry. |
andrewza: Why would you desghine a version if you producing a liscenent version. Nigeria dose have the need to replace a larger number of there curreny artie sytems.the white-man does not want nigeria to develop and compete with them. when america stopped nigeria from paying billions of dollars to north korea for ballistic missile technology transfer, the americans did not offer us any alternative, their policy says such weapons sholud not be proloiferated or spread all over the world. they alone want to be world champion. a lot to do yes, the points you made are NOT barriers in any way to nigeria's military weapons manufacturing industrial growth. research funds can be increased overnight by nigeria, we have too much money sitting down in central band and foreign baks as reserve $50 billion....and nigerian oil ang gas will keep on flowing for the next over 200 years.... money is not our problem when we want to do something in nigeria. have you been to abuja city? you wont believe it is in black african country. nigeria has no problem catching up with south africa after some years maybe between 7 to 15 years. the americana and europeans were doubting japan, south korea, and china many years ago, but now the whole world fears and respects china, south korea, and japan in the area of advanced technology now japan has technology better than USA, they have defeated america in world market with products like toyota and honda. have you visited seoul city of south korea? you wont believe it is an asian city, its more beautiful than america...and cleaner. china alone produced its J-20 stealth jet fighter that britain could not produce alone, they used joint venture with america to produce F-35 stealth jet. sorry andrewza, nigeria cannot be slowed down by your list of 'many rivers to cross', nigeria is a different kind of black people on the face of the earth, even the average black american graduate is not more intelligent than the average nigerian graduate...i have beaten both whites and black here in america when situation makes us to compete against each other. |
Henry120: For the proforce armoured cars above, specifically the second photo, there is usually a hatch open on top of the car and a GPMG or a 12.7HMG mounted and a shield constructed to protect the soldier from enemy fire (just like in the otokar cobra).great job henry. nice photo. its my first time to see these nigerian made up-armour for the combat vehicles lots of military weapons are now been produced in nigeria especially armoured vehicles. there is also a plan for DICON to locally produce for our army nigerian made artillery howitzer guns 105mm and 155mm in a joint venture with china. they will soon conclude details of the agreement and sign. it will be like a licensed production stage at the beginning, but a future plan for nigerian versions designed locally is being considered. also, the nigerian army mortar weapons cannot be counted by anyone again, DICON has been producing mortars and trust nigerian army not to release numbers produced to the public so that we can update our knowledge. inside info says nigerian army mortars are now over 1,000 units and we stopped importing finally because we now produce it at home. the nigeria airforce successfully repairs and maintains all its F-7 Jets at home over there in nigeria. also, the NAF engineers have experimented successfully to almost totally dis-assemble and re-assemble our F-7 Jets to see the production engineering by doing a type of reverse engineering experiment. that is something we could not do with our british jaguar jets becasue the white-man always hides his technology fundamentals from the black-man. china does not care as long as you pay for any local re-production you wish to do and sign an agreement. nigeria is hoping to produce in future, a local light jet fighter/trainer, something in between an alpha jet and an F-7. that is the main reason for totally avoiding european and american new jet fighters, you will never be allowed to copy or clone an american F-16 Jet or a french Rafale Jet. all those countries have just been getting billions of dollars from nigeria selling weapons to us since 1960, they never transfered any high level technology to us even if we want to pay for it. so nigeria has now turned to do deals for heavy weapons modern technology transfer by joint ventures and licensing with china and india. that is two contries who quickly advanced in modern weapons production by doing deals with russia. the americans and europeans will not let anyone copy their best weapons, all they want is to keep selling to you and collecting billions of dollars forever, but nigeria has found a solution to that with china and india, and those countries are ranked as number 3 and number four best military power countries of the world today with their weapons. nigeria is still discussing with russia to build a full and modern nuclear power reactor plant. ballistic missile technology is to be added by india. i see a powerful nigeria in the very near future, i hope we dont cause an arms race when egypt and algeria see nigeria as a more powerful military force. its only a matter of time, nigeria will be competing with south africa in the weapons market, and we will do better in marketing especially in our west african sub-region, and because of our regular participation in many international war zones, nigeria made weapons will be tested in real battle and its success will attract foreign customers. nigeria is fast heading for greater levels !! |
Ojay0203, Thanks sir |
andrewza: According to your own 2013 budget report it comes out around 3 billion USD. when information is not freely published where all people can freely find it easily without much searching for a long time, then it is almost a secret. in media practice, information that is 'almost secret' is called censored information or 'information shrouded in secrecy but not absolute secret'.... that means if you are lucky to find it by chance |

andrewza: I post both South africas and nigerias deffesnse budget some post ago's.south african defence budget includes heavy costs of soldiers salaries and allowances, as well as other basic overhead infrastructure and huge maintenance costs which will swallow up a large percentage of south african defence budget, all that budget is not for new weapons. nigeria is at a stage of massive large scale purchase of brand new modern sophisticated weapons for the army and navy, more army amoured vehicles, more navy missile/helicopter stealth warships for deep ocean and shallow coast/rivers, anti-submarine helicopters from france, etc all have been already paid for and will be delivered 2013-2014. andrewza himself posted website info for this between pages 68 and 74 or so. nigerian air-force is making new orders for very latest modern aircraft, jets and helicopters and will soon add to and the aircraft in service already. new intergrated modern and advanced air defense systems of sophisticated israeli electronics and latest indian missiles and electronics combined. the israeli air defence is for all nigerian coastline from east to west and it has been started and paid for fully it will be the same as israeli standard used for israel itself in air defence. the indian air defence intergrated elecronics and missile system has just been signed and its terms of agreement includes joint technology input from nigerian engineers and scientists and nigerian DICON weapons manufacturing company, and also huge money funding from nigerian ministries of finance and defense so that nigeria will also have the missile and electronics technology to manufacture it in near future after this current installation starting from 2013. too much is going on in nigerian military weapons now, and how many can we write? nigerian military hates photos of their weapons so we cannot get photos to post. electronic air defence system of every wise country is usually a guarded secret when it comes to details, no country will give out details of computer capabilities of its electronics in its air defence because of risk of cyber warfare computer based enemy hacking and virus attacks. i will post weblink source of the the israeli coastal air defence package later today with the few of some naval air and sea water drones photos and weblinks. andrewza, if you have time, i want to take on you, just you and me one on one if you are not afraid. nobody else allowed to interfere, we have a few issues about some selected weapons to resolve before this thread continues for you and me. if you have a day you will be with laptop let me know. i am free tomorrow sunday 24 hours if you are free let me know. we can settle those issues in just 4 hours on-line through this nairaland, when we finish, our other friends can read it and comment, but they should not interfere while we settle the issues, people like msauza and snydergp cause confusion telling lies. |
snydergp: I gave the source before and you deliberately chose not to read it yet you want a answer here is the weblink the submarinme and the exercisesnydergp this your weblink does not connect to any website information maybe its fake or you try correct it. ![]() |
Henry120: It gets derailed to easily because you and your compatriots are always hell bent on painting nigeria black. We as nigerians would not stand for that.PERFECT ANSWER |
andrewza: What do you mean quoate a source. I gave the infomation. SANDF dose not publises there ops. I know the sub was at sea because I watched it sail, I know the ship was in south amrica because it was a large exersize.if you cannot find source weblink to prove your comment its better you keep silent and wait till you have proof. I am using me cellphone too, so not only you. I am at work and my boss is in meeting with some military officers so I secretly use my mobile phone to browse internet. Maybe you are frustrated because south African army is almost defeated by ethiopian army as the public can now see and laugh. ![]() |
