The Maputo Report of 2003 called for the creation of 5 regional standby brigades that would collectively be known as the African Standby Force (ASF). These are:
1) The Southern African Brigade;
2) The East African Brigade;
3) The Central African Brigade;
4) The Ecowas Brigade; and
5) The North African Brigade.

The North African Brigade is the only one NOT in existence, for various reasons. Egypt wants to avoid the embarrassment of sitting on the AU Peace & Security Council whilst the region has not even established the Brigade.

Fun Fact: of the 4 existing regional brigades, only 2 have been judged by the AU to be fully operational. Name them .

You don't know the difference between various mission objectives and types, the training differs. Go watch Flintlock videos and view photos. Ask questions when you don't know things.
