Do they wear all that carnival costumes to regular 9/5 offices?

What's next? Wear masquerade costume to work because you are in love with your culture? Please stop with the senseless and illogical argument.

Useless people, when are they going to demand the same BS from Obi for lying to them, for neglecting his people after notification by Lagos state and for deporting fellow ibo people out of his state?

ACM10: As a strong supporter of Dr Chris Ngige, I'm so disappointed with his take on this issue. I bet that his comment wont play out well among Anambra voters. APGA will make a political meal out of this statement.
Rejecting and renouncing capable, sensible and rational leaders because you don't like his honest views is your main criteria foe electing leaders, then you have other serious issues beyond Ngige..

Ngige is obviously the least of your worries..

With these photos, Obi is not only a liar, he's also very lazy and incompetent. He has no credibility and it beats me why this man is a governor.

basilo101: with an international airport at enugu and d ibaka seaport at akwa ibom which is a stone throw frm Aba, Lagos is sure 2 collapse veri soon
Before, it was Lagos will collapse with onisha port, but now after your onisha port arrived and is still siting there dormant like bored Eskimos ashawo, ibaka is now your new savior and LAGOS killer.

The fact that your survival is always in the hands of other people and never yours really should make you people think long and hard about your ways and future.

Again, the burden is on Obi to make the next move by denying the notification by Lagos state. I'm 100% they are waiting for him to say NO before rubbishing him with proof. You don't make such allegations against a sitting governor without proof and Obi's failure to deny speaks volume..

Silence is nothing but a clear admission of guilt.

manny4life: Lol, now you're beating around the bush.

Now its the courts but he did not approach the courts before deportation,
did he? I mean he said he looked to "INTERNATIONAL STANDARD", is that how "international standard" is done? Abegi, when the time comes, the truth of the matter will be revealed. I like how all this is happening, ONE Nigeria is a mirage, nonexistent...Those who have ears should hear. Pray tell same way fashola meted out this good tidings to this people, same will be your portion... just say AMEN.
Any reason why he should have and what part of the constitution demands approval from the courts before states adjudicate it's obligations?

And list the courts Anambra and Akwa Ibom obtained approval from before deporting folks from Lagos and other states?

And please save your Amen for Anambra state because what goes around comes around. They got what back what they dished out to other people..
Politics › Re: Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos: Senator Ngige Speaks by agbameta: 3:20pm On Aug 02, 2013
mikeansy: Fashola Government wont even do that. because the point is, Lagos State should not have written that letter in the first place! They have no right to compel Nigerians to relocate!

If they publish that letter it will be exihibit to make the argument that Fashola is tribalist, elitist, sectarian, dictatorial, draconian. Fashola should have know the limits of his power as a State Governor, he is a lawyer

On the threat by Governor Obi to take the matter to the Presidency, Governor Fashola said, “I know that the President has the moral authority to head the sovereign state of Nigeria but I am not aware that the Constitution says that disputes between states should be settled by the President.”

“If Anambra State has an issue with us and it feels too aggrieved not to call us, not to write to us, I feel the final arbiter must be the courts”, the Governor said adding, ”When I get a formal letter from Anambra or when I get a formal letter from the Presidency, I will lay bare what the facts are”. - Fashola

Plshavmercyamen: There is no need for all these commotion as we will soon know who wants to play politics with Igbos interest. LASG should as a matter of urgency publish the letters they wrote to Anambra state govt and the replies they got from the govt so that the public court(masses) can pass their verdict but if they cant publish those letters as alleged by Ngige I think the lagos state govt should be courageos enough to tender an unreserved apology to Ndi Igbo not for deporting(cos it is common practice in Nigeria) BUT for dumping them under the bridge. These is my submission. Adighi ama ama a bukwa m nwa afo Igbo.
Are you not worried that Anambra/Peter Obi is yet to deny receiving such notifications from LAGOS STATE?

This is a clear case of Yes and No. The burden is now on peter obi to deny and set the record straight and until he opens his mouth and categorically say he did not receive any letter from Lagos state, the allegation stands..
Politics › Re: Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos: Senator Ngige Speaks by agbameta: 3:09pm On Aug 02, 2013
manny4life: Lol, is that how a "supposed SAN" is to act illegally? Had it tried it here in the U.S., his ass would be TOAST. So your counterpart ignored your notification, then you take laws into your hands and defile the binding agreement that holds us all - The Constitution.

If Obi did not acknowledge, why did he not go through the courts, after all he said he followed "international standard", per standard, family reunion is SUPERVISED BY THE COURT SYSTEM.. How can he be the responsible party when he never acknowledged it? Doesn't make any sense if you ask me...

As for my rant, don't worry... It's very for the very few that understand it, perhaps you have reached that level yet.
The highlighted is your entitled OPINION and nothing more since only the courts can lawfully interpret the constitution and determine what's legal or not so until your lazy and incompetent shoot before asking question Governor peter obi do just that, please save your rants for your kind.....
Politics › Re: Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos: Senator Ngige Speaks by agbameta: 2:20pm On Aug 02, 2013
manny4life: That the northerners are DOCILE about it doesn't make it RIGHT

That the Yoruba folks are DOCILE and belong to same ethnic group don't make it OK.

Again, that Fashola did not say anything (as loud mouthed as he is) means that he had PRIOR knowledge of what Akwa Ibom was about to do and the term of understanding was executed. Akwa Ibom did not drop them at Eko Bridge @3am in the morning etc
To start with, they notified Obi which he's yet to deny, but he ignored the notification so by default, he's the responsible party.

I don't get your rant about right or wrong because what Lagos state did was humanitarian and very just and if you don't see it that way, then let the court of law decide..
Politics › Re: Anambra Ordered Arrest and Deportation Of Child beggars in 2011. by agbameta: 2:16pm On Aug 02, 2013
^^^So you're worried enough by the rightly deserved widespread condemnation of Fasholas action to the point of googling frantically and digging up a two year old story?

You reckon there's nothing wrong with adults begging on the streets, and using kids in the process? You have any proof that the Anambra state gov't didn't do this with the knowledge, blessing and co-operation of the Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom state gov'ts?; especially in light of the fact that they haven't protested the action since it happened two years ago. You have any proof that the beggars and their kids were dumped under a bridge in Abakaliki and Uyo in the dead of the night?

Since this news story broke two years ago the Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom state gov'ts have had fraternal and brotherly relations with their Anambra state counterpart, so what does that tell you?

Get a life!
The way you people make up dumb excuses when it comes to your people gets too laughable I swear and I must LAUGH...LMAO

iheneme: The more Fashola and his supporters try to defend this degrading deportation they more they make themselves stupid. Until he also deports all other destitutes (as he calls them) from other states of the country, I will never believe this regrettable incident is not borne out of ill-will. Except Fashola and his cohorts want to tell us that all the destitutes in Lagos are Igbos.
What about the Northern folks they relocated? Are the Northerners crying?

What about the Yoruba folks he deported? Are their governors crying?

What about the folks Anambra itself deported? Are they asking for blood from Anambra?

What about the folks from Lagos Akwa Ibom threaten to back to Lagos? Did Fashola cry like a baby? No he did not cry.

Politics › Re: Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos: Senator Ngige Speaks by agbameta: 2:02pm On Aug 02, 2013
Afam4eva: Now, the issue has moved from whether it's constitutional to drive Nigerians out of a state to whether or not Fashola communicated with Peter Obi about the action. Whether or not he did does not take away the fact that it's immoral to deport a citizen of a country within the country. I don't care whether Anambra or Akwa-Ibom has done it previously. It is wrong. Every state government should cater for the Nigerians they find in their abode. Afterall, states are given allocations based on their population and other variables. If the government were to give allocations based on state of origin then Lagos will probably receive the smallest allocation. let our leaders be wise and not take actions that will heat up the already heated polity.
Based on strong moral ground, Lagos state did the most human thing and I commend their effort. Treating and rehabilitating homeless and stranded folks with nothing to survive on and then relocating and reuniting them with their families remains a very noble and commendable effort. Only irresponsible governments sits around watching people waste away with no support and end up endangering themselves and the society.
