ba7man: You're so wrong. Those trailers loaded with containers you see leaving Lagos are heading to various parts of Nigeria. S.E and S.S included.
No, the poster I quoted said almost all that leave Lagos are East bound.

ACM10: Igbos are not the first to be deported is enough reason to support Fashola's action. Why do you guys reason with your emotions?
The fact that you are here crying over deportation of ibo people from Lagos state and still not saying anything about Lagosians dewported from Akwa Ibom.

We are not falling for your fake crocodile noise..

FSU: Crap

almost all that leave Lagos are East bound. You can stand along Lagos-Benin h/w and do the count
Major goods and services including project construction materials travels to major economic zones experiencing major economic and constructon activities and this doesn't exist in the east.

Not a single major project is going on in the eastern part of Nigeria and they haven't commisioned any major project in the area in years apart from repainting of the enugu airport which is nothing really.

There are no significant economic factors in the east hence the reason why every ibo man and woman look elsewhere for their daily bread and never in the east.

You people need to sart reasoning beyond emotions and empty utterances that doesn't jive with common sense and reality...

1oracle: Fashola did you call Obi before you deported the Igbos? Yes/No?
He said before the state government embarked on the action, the Anambra State Government had been contacted but no response was received from it.

He said, “We also put the nation on notice that before the latest movement of some people to Onitsha, we notified the Anambra State government, which neither responded nor took action on our complaint.

“We also want the public to note that the Lagos State Government was involved in a similar deal with the Akwa Ibom State Government when some indigent Lagosians were moved back from Akwa Ibom State to Lagos.

They obviously notified the lazy and incompetent crying Peter Obi, but he was too busy kissing GEJ all over the place to give a damn about his own people..

This is what you get when you make incompetent ptoplt your leaders.

I'm glad Fashola scolded his asss out in the open.

Talk about death after medicine. What was he doing when Lagos state notified him about his own people and pending relocation?

This is Obi trying to hide his own incompetence and neglect.

Politics › PDP Appoints Umaru Dikko To Head National Disciplinary Committee by agbameta(op): 3:02pm On Jul 29, 2013
Mr. Dikko was accused of high level of corruption during Shagari’s regime.

The leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has approved the composition of the party’s national disciplinary committee, appointing Umaru Dikko as the head of the committee.

In a statement, the acting national publicity secretary, Tony Okeke, Monday, said the appointment is pursuant to the provisions of Articles 57 (1), (2), (3) of the Constitution of the Party.

Mr. Dikko was a stalwart of the National Party of Nigeria in the second republic. He was also the Minister of Transport and an influential cabinet member in the administration of former President Shehu Shagari.

He was a controversial figure in Mr. Shagari’s government after he was accused of high level corruption following his role in the importation of rice into the country.

After the fall of Mr. Shagari’s government, he fled the country to the UK, and there was an attempt to kidnap and return him back to the country by the military regime of Muhammadu Buhari.

He was reportedly placed in a wooden box and was about to be ferried to Nigeria, when the attempt was foiled.

Other members of the committee are, King A.J. Turner, Deputy Chairman, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Shuaibu Oyedokun, Nana Ayishat Kadiri, and Hussaini Diraki Emmanuel Agboti, a Senator is the secretary of the committee.

Mr. Okeke added that the committee shall be inaugurated by the National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur, at a date to be announced later.

redsun: Look at this maga. What makes you think it is an improvement to destroy the environment unnecessary using oyinbo made technologies that are main to keep them functional in their temperate regions in tropical nigeria where the SUN is ever visible round the year and where is never electricity?Blind followers.

They should be thinking of making people's habitat liveable, planned and descent, rather they are talking of bullshhit. They should create secure communal areas, gardens in apartments and streets, with lines where people can hang there washes paid for with the people's taxes.
You dey type this kain senesless rubbish at your old age? Very boring even for silly NL standard..

The flag off with Jonathan climbing some forklift like a goofy trainee teenage driver was nothing but another silly political dance and cruel joke on Nigerians, the reality remains the same PDP lies and deceptions.

Beats me why Amosun joined the silly charade..
Politics › Re: Lagos To Seal Buildings With Indiscriminate Hanging Of Washed Clothes by agbameta: 3:04pm On Jul 28, 2013
The posts in this thread clealy shows that some of us are ready to move on into a sane and orderly society while some are willing to remain backward with their slum and ghetto ways.

This is why Lagos is fast leaving Nigeria behind....

Kudos to Fashola and Lagosians, forward ever, backward never...
Politics › Re: Lagos To Seal Buildings With Indiscriminate Hanging Of Washed Clothes by agbameta: 2:56pm On Jul 28, 2013
redsun: Are you listening to yourself at all? What is unhealthy about hanging washed clothes outside?

Apart from saving money, drying clothes outside saves the environment from carbon emission from using dryers.People need to think smart and stop pretending to be what they are not.As long as the sun keep shinning, africans don't need drying machines for clothes.
Chei!!! Why do you reason like a caveman? This is 2013 and not 300BC.
