i think what you need do is first take out time to write a very good detailed SOP letter...not necessarily very long, just be able to connect these aspect of yor application;
1. why you chose the course and how it will help you in your career
2. why that college
3. why canada
4. how your sponsor is involved in your study abroad if possible make reference to either him/her paying your fees or sending you money
5. family ties ( why you need to come back asap, projects you have to finish in nigeria, family responsibility, career job you need to come back to..this will sell better is your present employer can attest to this, etc)
just try connect all these in your letter and review your application again.

Congratulations
The correspondence letter Is the letter whilst you will get after your visa has been approved.
It is used at the port of entry in Canada airport.
If you haven't received yours, try and email cic for it and you we get it real quick.
The letter is important and its different from the biometric correspondence letter.

Make sure you get it before traveling!

@Agbons101 you dey try even after you got your visa approved you still they help out.
Thanks

well...i have made alot of enquiry on this and the answer is no! especially for the net semester payment. this is because you have limited time to work...you can check it out on youtube. but in summer you can actually get some good money working 40hrs per week...but still you have alot to pay for..

Is it possible to study pgd and also work to sponsor myself in Canada, even if it is with the cheapest school?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Agbons101: 7:32pm On Dec 12, 2018
this is actually very or almost impossible , its very rare to have someone that is financially stable with no bank transaction in the last 6 months. truth be told they will either see your sponsor as a corrupt individual(money laundering) or financially incapable of sponsoring you...if she is really interested in sponsoring you then she should try do some transactions within some months just to show the account is still active and get other documents like bank bonds, fixed deposit account...or any other monetary documents to show some flow of cash... bank account is the number 1 way to show you have money to spend! can i suffix to say she is self employ? if so then she needs to show and present her business documents and this will definitely mean her showing how much and how often the business brings in money.

Raymondrain:
Please house I need a serious help.... My sponsor doesn't have any bank statement( it's been over 6 months) she used the bank last. But she has alot of properties and investments..... Is it possible to use that to apply for study permit without the bank statement? Please I need an answer!! angry

think you should adjust your flight date if you can....you need atleast 2-3 weeks to finalize ur application...that is when you will receive your stamped passport...might be faster for paper route though...but to be on a safer side move your flight date 1 week forward. congrats

i got to know someone here that had thesame issue but she finally got it after hers was approved..but personally i think you should go ahead to request for it at all cost...firstly, its on record you have applied once and if you want to reapply you definitely need to state that and also you need to know the documents they used for the denied application, hoping they did not use any incriminating documents, this might actually affect your re-application whether with a new profile or not, they keep records. its absurd they wouldn't give you access and ownership to what is yours because its all your personal and private documents you submitted there, since there was no written agreement that they will keep the profile, they have no right or case against your request to get it. truth be told these guys might just have done nothing worth paying them for...as for your fees refund, if you are going to reapply why ask for refund? just defer and most schools will refund if you showed them the refusal mail from cic and all you have to do is mail them through the contact mail you have been using to contact them, i hope its the your personal mail not the agency mail. goodluck
sopho:
URGENT UPDATE PLEASE KINDLY READ THROUGH..

Hello Nairalanders. I want to call the attention of everyone here . I once posted what I have been suffering from the hands of the Agency that I simply contracted to take care of my application. This is simply a monumental show of shame and greed. I am pressing demands to have access to my CIC online application for Canada Study Permit. At some point I got vexed because of the undeserving treats I got from this Agency. Sometimes you call their number they won’t pick. It appears as if I was bugging them with my calls and sometimes instead they will tell me to send a mail.In my life I have never been humiliated or treated the way I was treated by this Agency. But I was calm and patient because I was determined to see the end of it and on the 27th of November the Agency forwarded me a mail from CIC which contained the refusal reasons and I posted it here that finally the visa has been denied.
I believe that login details should be a rightful entitlement entitlement of whomesomever that applies for a study permit via the online route. But in my case is has become a sacrilege that I am requesting for it even after the VISA has been denied.
They never granted me access to this till my visa was denied on the 27th of November which I also posted on this thread. Today I also got a letter from the Agency (KEYSTYLE LEARNING) that I am threatening them. To be honest I do not trust them anymore because of the way everything is playing out and since it has surfaced to this level I am prepared to go to any length with this Agency . So now my visa has been denied and
I am rightly requesting that they grant me access to contact my school to applly for the refund of my tuition fee I paid directly from my bank since the agency has been the one contacting the school on my behalf since July .These their attitude goes a long way to demonstrate that something is hidden. So I do not have right to also ask them to grant give me the online access to contact the school that I paid my tuition fee to refund my money? ... Please I want everybody to look into this matter and tell me where I have gone wrong.

I am ready for this WAR which they have waged against me and I am going to fight it to the finish. This is my 2Million Naira that is involved . It’s my hard earned money I paid directly from my bank to school and now that I need the agency to grant me access to ask for refund they are keeping deaf ears. The wickedness of man is too much in this country.

you should first of all show a very close and familiar relationship with your sponsor, it seems he is a an immediate family member...Then from what i was told when i was applying for mine and profile seen even here, Canada doesn't just to see big money in your account. they want to see how you make this money and how often you have it..so for a sponsor with his personal business it goes a long way if he or she can include some transaction payment receipts, signed invoice, contract letters etc..not just cac documents.
Alliswell19:
Good day people of nairaland,

I was refused yesterday based on my personal assets and financial stutus. Please can someone explain that better to me as I'm confused whether it's based my financial status or my sponsor's financial status as I'm not self sponsored.
Applied 25th October paper route.
My SOA has flow of over 19M with balance of 4M while my sponsor has personal (not any of his businesses) flow of about 50M with balance of 8M after giving me my first year living expenses. He has no dependant as his kids are all independent professionals outside Nigeria. I attached his CAC documents
I need advice from you all to know where my problem is from and how to solve it.
I even attached my personal land property.

Thanks for your anticipated response and advice.

8 pages or 1 page...i doesnt matter, mine was just a page, seen someone with 6 pages..all that matters is what is contained in it..but 8 pages for me will be too much, make it a bit shorter and still well detailed..let it dont look like you are begging them..lol

Determinedsoul:
Wrote a detailed SOP of about 8 pages, cos I was refused initially and was told by 2 people now that it's lengthy that the VO might not read all. That I can be precise to make it 2 pages just like the former one. Please gurus help, is this advisable or I should just leave the 8pages?

Honestly I will appreciate your advice as am a bit confused now.

Tnx

it can take between a week to a month depending on where it was processed...its faster if it was processed in lagos...mine took 3weeks from london, i read recently about someone waiting for more than a montn now...just track it online though.

Hello house,

I got Passport Request last Tuesday and submitted my passport to the VFS office in Lagos on Thursday.

I applied online and had my biometrics in Abuja but submitted passport to Lagos (this attracted a fee of about N14,380).

My question is this, how long does it take for passport to be ready for collection after submission? And does it take longer due to passport transmission?

background check is done to check your records...like criminal records etc...eligibility on the other hand is done to see if you meet the criteria to be given a study visa or not from the documents you submitted..check cic site for more details..

i think its for all application under processing in their office at the moment...because if you message or call them they will ask if its past the average processing time on their site...and remember its THE AVERAGE PROCESSING TIME which means it could be less or more than 17 weeks...goodluck!

well..this year compare to the last 2 years alot of nigerians got visa to study in canada...most agents have affiliations with schools in other countries which are easier to get a visa to study compared to canada, so dnt let agents discourage you for their selfish gains...
