Politics › Re: Buhari Has Drawn The Battle- Line With South-east, South- South. —intersociety by AgentOfAllah: 9:33am On Apr 15, 2015 |
omenka: After all that rant, I couldn't see a single line the article quoted coming from the general that suggests he's "drawn a battle line with the ss and se". These guys have chosen to continue trudging along the same trajectory even after the election; causing ethnoreligious disharmony and tension. How does calling an election a sham amount to drawing a battle line??
The ordinary hardworking folks who bust their humps daily under the scorching sun in the SS and SE should be mindful of the condemnable antics of these greedy politicians that claim to represent their interests when in fact they value the lives of the pets they have at home more than that of an average South southerner or South easterner. They've completely lost out in the power struggle and the only way they can remain relevant is ensuring that everyone from that region irrespective of social class, sees the government at the centre as an enemy! Even in Abia, APGA is calling for an outright cancellation of the polls because they were a complete "sham". What are they gonna say about that? That Buhari instigated APGA to do so??
If I were Buhari, I'd try to ensure a bill is passed that would criminalise utterances like this. If you can't live in unity irrespective of your tribe or where you come from, remain in your house and interact with only your family or spew garbage in public and have your bigoted asss hauled into jail. Useless fools acting like victims while promoting their uncanny agenda. You're right, I patiently endured the agonising length of the rant (as you aptly put it), in order to find what the divisive statements of Buhari were, but I found non! Like you, I wish these folks get over their defeat and move on, but in spite of their poorly veiled anti-national pretences, I acknowledge their rights to express their stupidity. This is where you and I are in divergence. One thing I'm certain about is that Buhari will conduct himself in a manner that exudes national, as opposed to ethnic patriotism, and these guys will be greatly disappointed after Buhari's appointed term. I'm certain of this because his conducts and utterances are telling enough. I think the ultimate way to silence these shallow ideologues and rabble-rousers is to give them the platform and the microphones to spew their rubbish. Let them face the public with their alternative propositions, and this is where their perfunctory bums will be exposed. Buhari shouldn't jail them, he should invite the loudest of them to a national debate. That's how the British mainstream parties silenced Nick Griffin of the BNP. He made a lot of noise and got people on board. They invited him to a national debate on BBC and his ideas were exposed for the shallow garbage that they are. I recommend you watch it at your time. |

The way people have gone to package Buhari aptitude and stardom cannot be ignored. U could easily see the manner the yoruba and hausa-fulani goes about this.
I will be more than happy if someone could illuminate on issues when Buhari was the military president
But for us we will like to ask Buhari apologist that goes on about to tell us how poor Buhari is; this man we believe spent more than two weeks in his flat in london and he is poor? His flat in London? The one you gave him? You're delusional! They go on and talk about CHANGE; Buhari was told he will be exposed if. . . by IBB. You would expect your Messiah to say OK IBB go on and exposed me but no no he went quite. I'm sure this sounded so clever in your head. Alas, who can convince a mad man that he is not okay? They talk about how corruption will be dealt with. And how is he gona do it when u heard Amaechi said yes we steal money because nobody hold us accountable hmm. Then heading to Tinubu says it all Lol So my question goes to the monkeys and baboon in the zoo called Nigeria who could not for once reason like human being educate us plz If all humans reason the way you do, we'll all be doomed. You actually think you can ask monkeys and baboons questions? It obvious the hausa-fulani criminals in the north with their hands on oil that never belong to them are up to something Do you know the meaning of 'obvious'? Putting that word in front of a senseless sentence doesn't make the sentence intelligible. Please clarify what you mean by Hausa-Fulani criminals. Why are you so bitter and full of hate? |

tonytony208: It is only a blind person that will say there is nothing like spiritual force. The individual can as well not believe in God. God is Spirit, Good Spirit. And Satan is also a spirit, bad spirit. As God has His angels, good and holy angels; so does satan has his angels, bad angels. As God and His good angels are going about doing good, so are satan and his bad angels are going about forcing themselves upon people and doing wickedness. The fundamental question to you is this: DO YOU BELIEVE IN EXISTENCE OF GOD AT ALL? No I don't! Now I ask you, have you personally experienced these spiritual forces? |

I'm actually tempted to agree with you. Americans like to brandish their celebrated 2nd amendment rights as a necessary check to the excesses of the security agents. Alas, I must contain my fleeting excitement by expressing a little hope that the system would self-repair. Then again, the very nature of 'right' suggests that it is taken, not handed on a platter. To be honest, I'm conflicted as to what the right position to take is. I greatly sympathise with Black Americans though. |

Sweetguy25: Well, since you're an honest man, kindly tell us precisely how GEJ destroyed his party. Thank you very much. I'll help you: We all agree pdp was a national party, right? What does it take to be a national party? In the real sense of the word, a national party carries everyone along. Muslims, Christians, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, atheists, Ibibio, Kanuri..name it. To keep all these divergent interests under the purview of one umbrella (if I may leverage the pun in that), the last thing you want to do is play ethnic/religious politics, or allow people willing to pay such dirty games hijack your disposition. This takes an incredible deal of effort and alertness to accomplish. Note that the alternative, that is, doing nothing about it, might maximise your popularity with the favoured group...but this effect is mutual and opposite with the unfavoured group. Jonathan might have been a good person, but he never cared about being perceived to be good. He allowed the likes of Oritsejeafor, Asari Dokubo, Oyedepo and Patience polarise the country with their inflammatory pronouncements. His silence was seen as tacit approval and the preexisting schisms became aggravated, with the resulting effects commencing from under the umbrella itself. Those who felt their interests were marginalised had no further reason to continue to remain with him...remember, to maintain national spread, you must carry everyone along, not marginalise them. Jonathan was the author of his own downfall through his silence; or perhaps, his inability to take charge of his ship. |

barrnchedo: APC you people should stop behaving like touts. Why is it that whenever you lose you cry that the election is not free and fair and you fight dirty, killing people and asking for election cancellation. Am sure you'd have been fighting in Lagos by now if you'd lost the election. Now you are trying everything you can to have the elections cancelled in PDP-favoured states. You guys are indeed the descendants of Ishmail! Bokoharamised party! Don't quote me! I'm not sure what kind of reality distorting force field warps your sense of objectivity. APC won majority against the machinations of a PDP controlled state because PDP couldn't tame the resolve of the people for change this time. In Rivers, unfortunately, PDP resorted to violence and voters intimidation to maintain its stranglehold. Most of the people killed in Rivers state were APC supporters. Now you answer me this: How could APC be the ones instigating violence and also be the ones dying? Does that make sense to you? |

Politics is first and foremost local. I'm from Rivers state, my interest is Win my State first before any other thing. My second objective was 100% SS and I got it(save edo). Another Ôbjective of SE was spoiled by Imo. N/B ÀPgA Ís an ally.
I also wÀnted PDP to be 100% in Ekiti, I got it. Ondo fell to PDP too. Lagos, Plateau and Adawawa were painful but my support for them was pure partisan. Gombe dÍd me proÙd same with Taraba. The mission to bÙild is about to start. Stop behaving like an ignorant slob. SS is either 100% PDP or it isn't. So your second objective failed. SS is 80% PDP. BTW, when you're done with your celebration of juvenile ignominy, you can take a rest to ponder what sore loser you've become, having snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. For now enjoy your 5 stages of grief but don't stay too long in the denial stage if you want closure. |

Politics › Re: Why Akinwumi Ambode Is The Best Choice For Lagosians - Wole Soyinka by AgentOfAllah: 3:55pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
truthispainful: In 1999, Asiwaju Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu had an enviable political track record before he was voted in as Governor by Lagosians and other residents. Later in 2003, he was voted to continue which is a buildup of his achievements between 1999 & 2003.
In 2007, Babatunde Raji Fashola was not just a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Chief of Staff to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but an excellent thinker with enviable experiences in the public sector. This fast tracked his popularity and eventually aided his victory to become Lagos State Governor thru the poll. His mind blowing deliverables between 2007 & 2011earned him a reelection.
The contributions of the duo mentioned in the above paragraph towards building the cosmopolitan city we call Lagos, can neither be undersized nor can it be over emphasized. The former drew the architectural design and laid the strong foundation needed to build on, while the later has successfully built a growing cosmopolitan city on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
Now, should Lagosians choose a 'pharmacist with no experience in public service' over a globally 'certified chattered accountant with 27years of excellent public service to Lagos and a man who was consistently active in the entire metamorphosis of our present beloved Lagos'?
Stick to your conscience, do away with sentiments, and think Lagos first...
http://www.9janotebook..com/2015/04/lagos-poll-pharmacist-against-chattered.html These are not Kongi's words. This is most definitely not Wole's style of writing. Believe this fabricated nonsense at your own peril, but he'll deny it sooner or later, the same way he denied that nonsense endorsement of Jonathan based on the notion that corruption is directly proportional to the amount of skyscrapers one has in their names. Wole doesn't endorse people unless he absolutely believes in that person or he absolutely detests the alternative (like how he supported Buhari because Nigeria hit rock bottom under Jonathan). The last genuine endorsement Wole gave was in 2011 for Ribadu. |

Anyim's position is to conduct all appointments by the president. He is in charge of all ministers, special advisers, special assistants and all others.Basically, just like a secretary in a company runs all informations for the boss,he serves same role.
Secretary of State is a Diplomatic position, whoever holds this position becomes the country's no 1 diplomat ready to represent Nigeria on behalf of the President anywhere and must be able to influence the country's foreign policy. Like the minister of foreign affairs? |
