DucatiKNG: http://ynaija.com/disvirgin-cross-carpeting-go-slow-7-more-words-you-wont-find-in-the-dictionary/ If prescriptivists feel it necessary to remain enslaved by language, it's a free world. What I absolutely despise, however, is the smug, elististic audaciousness of prescriptivists who think it's their role to dictate how language must be used. There are concepts that are unique to Nigerians, and therefore, more mellisonant when expressed using the idiosyncratic peculiarities of Nigerian English. Anybody who feels compelled to subject themselves to the contrived/non-existent rules of London RP English should know that they are just slaves to the language. One is truly liberated when, rather than confine their imaginations to service the sadistic gratification of prescriptivists, they reinvent language for the good of their wild imaginations. Ah beg, carry go with your plumpy neologisms my Naija people, and free yaself from English enslavement, even if you choose to do it instalmentally! Viva la descriptivists! Viva Nigerian English! |

Politics › Re: Current 43million PVC Distribution Analysis And Figures For 36 States by AgentOfAllah: 5:42pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
fun4: Your own opinionated analysis is welcome. But you did not afford us one. Maths is not an opinion, friend. Your analysis was based the flawed presumption that averaging has a bearing on magnitude. If you have a 4ltrs container that is 75% filled with water and a 100ltrs container that is 10% full, the 100ltrs container still contains 7ltrs more water than the 4ltrs one, in spite of the relative drastic disparity in their average contents. That is what the Nigerian election system is; a game of absolute magnitude, not average as you seemed to suggest. I only sought to highlight the fact that the conclusion in that part of your so-called analysis is based on a flawed premise. My opinion is of no consequence, whatsoever. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Are People Born Gay? by AgentOfAllah: 5:22pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
valkaka: The clash between gay activists and proponents of traditional family values seems to grow more heated with every headline. While those in the gay and lesbian community insist that their way of life is perfectly natural and entitles them to equal rights, others contend that homosexuality is a lifestyle choice that can be overcome, or even cured. Is same-*** attraction a learned trait, or is it all in the genetic makeup? Why should it matter that people are born gay any more than it should matter that they are born with particular colour biases? The real question is whether anybody has the right to dictate other peoples' sexual preferences as if that adds or takes anything away from you and your own peculiarities. |
Politics › Re: Current 43million PVC Distribution Analysis And Figures For 36 States by AgentOfAllah: 4:40pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
fun4: APC STATES(14) Average Collection = 56.33%
PDP STATES(21) Average Collection = 69.94%
APGA STATE(1) Average Collection = 62.25%
FCT ABUJA Average Collection = 52.18%
Going by these averages, the PDP's President GEJ should be coasting to victory come Feb 15, the APC on-groundness in some of those PDP states( especially northern Nigeria), makes the 69.94% of the PDP highly fallible and unreliable. The foregoing is a superfluous application of mathematical concepts. How can you justify the use averaging in a system where absolute magnitude, and not relative value is used? Are you serious? |

dlux: Maj Gen Muhammadu Buhari has dropped the bombshell, on the reason he has been losing election in Igboland and parts of Nigeria where Igbos are residing, stating that it is because he was involved in the Nigerian civil war. …
The former dictator speaking today on BBC Hausa services monitored in kaduna, said with regrets that, “the igbos hate him for what happened during the Biafran war”. “I don’t have any regret, and at such do not owe any apology to them, infact if there is a repeat of the civil war again, I will kill more Igbos to save the country”.
The APC presidential candidate, added that this was the reason they never bothered to vote for him anywhere in Nigeria.
It is a shame, that a man that is aspiring to rule the whole country, not part of it, will talk in this manner. I support the APC gubernatorial candidate in Lagos, EDO & IMO states but the truth is, Buhari is behind boko haram & not worthy to Rule Nigeria. Big massive fat arse humongous liar, OP. Where's your integrity? Whatever happened to our thirst for truth Nigerians? Some unknown agent provocateur posts something without an iota of evidence and you swallow it hook line and sinker without the slightest sense of duty to your morality?! Shocking!! Read the emboldened text in the quotation marks again. How can Buhari refer to himself as "him"? Quotation marks are supposed to envelop verbatim remarks!!! OP if you wish to sacrifice your integrity on the alter of bigotry, at least do it properly! |

frank317: lol... how can the creator recommend a process and i know nothing about it. aint you just funny?
my nature? is my nature stronger than the creators? is the creator looking for excuse for me not to see or hear him? well, i think that is his problem not mine. like i said, if the creator is serious about reaching me, i am always here. if my nature is stopping him... then i think he is not serious
i am not dodging your question. i said i will not answer your question because i fail to see how my believe makes the creator exist or not (if you explain this, i might reconsider). if he wants to reach me, i am here. Your friend has got the creator so figured out you could almost swear he is the creator |

Emusan: Then what lead to the point of talking about FAITH?
You don't know where we started from you show up and begin to type another thing. What led to faith You trying to make an "argument" for god on the basis of faith. I don't even know which is worse, that you don't even see how that can't work, or that you think blind faith is some kind of virtue to be proud of. |
Christianity Etc › Re: How To Win An Atheist In The Great Debate by AgentOfAllah: 1:07pm On Jan 28, 2015 |
Emusan: @bolded-why calling yourself Atheist? This is a mature discussion and not for unintelligent one. Oh! yes of course, predicating the whole premise of your argument on having "faith" in an undefined subject, and requiring your opponent to do the same is exactly what should be termed "mature discussion" for the intelligent ones. I would actually like to see you have a go at intelligent discussions! Haha |
Christianity Etc › Re: How To Win An Atheist In The Great Debate by AgentOfAllah: 11:54am On Jan 28, 2015 |
Emusan: To you it might not but to the creator it is because man can define the process of how to know the creator IT IS the creator who will define how man can know Him.
You don't need faith because you can see a physical being in front of you claiming she did it.
You can't see the creator with you naked eyes so YOU MUST FIRST HAVE FAITH in you that THE CREATOR exits. If you THINK something is not existing why would you have FAITH in the thing in the first place? Do you know Thor the Hammer god? He hammered your creator out of existence. You may doubt what I'm saying, but that's your business. You're just worshiping a dead creator. How do I know this? FAITH. I acquired faith in Thor and he showed me the grave of your creator. You too need faith to see what I saw. Do you now have faith in Thor? |

The first process is FAITH-the believe that the creator exist...do you have faith? What is faith? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Boko-haram Are The True Muslims. by AgentOfAllah: 9:35am On Jan 28, 2015 |
PastorKun: Nope, christianity never said Jesus Christ is the same God. Jesus is the son of God and not God himself, they are two entirely different persons. I like how, according to your interpretation of Christianity, the son of god is a less erratic, megalomaniacal, malevolent bully than his father; probably even a victim of his father's madness. Of course, there are many Christians that believe Jesus and Yahweh are one and the same according to their respective interpretations of Christianity. However, who am I to say one group is practicing "true" Christianity and the other isn't, right? Maybe the OP can shed their leaf of sanctimony and take one from my acknowledgement of multiple interpretations! Then again, maybe the OP still feels certain Bokoharam are the "TRUE" Muslims... their cuppa! |

PastorKun: Since when did Abraham or Moses become the standard for christians to follow As christians, the only standard and example are meant to follow is Jesus Christ and nobody else so stop drawing up illogical parallels just because an individual's name is mentioned in the bible. Pardon my illogical parallels. Looks like my whole idea of Christianity has been a humongous lie...because, you see, silly me thought Jesus was the same god that commanded them to commit these horrendous acts. No? Yes? Maybe? Oh did god change for good? Sorry....whose standards again |

DDeliverer: I've never claimed to be omniscient, neither am I an authority. The qu'ran is the standard here..The quaran is the authority! The quaran descended from heaven and the original copy is still on the 'preserved tablet' in paradise, and has been there even before the creation of the world! And because of this, nothing in the book must be questioned (surah 85:22 and 43:3-4). You sounded pretty omniscienty when you confidently insinuated that all those Muslims who don't interpret the Quran as bokoharam does aren't "true" Muslims. When I claim that Allah has asked Bokoharam to kill, an educated mind like yours may find it indigestible and unbeluevable. But these are no idle claims. Take them away and there would be nothing called islam. Again, so sure of yourself. Except you are saying the quaran is not the ultimate authority....then that will be another discussion entirely. I wonder if the bible is your ultimate authority because if you're not a violent genocidal lunatic like Moses, or a sick filicidal fool like Abraham, you're not reading the bible right. With the same level of certainty as you, I hereby declare that only such Christians as Hitler, Breivic and Bush are true Christians. |

Weah96: You're absolutely right. The cowards are the timid and lukewarm MusLims who don't really believe in Allah and the Qur'an.
Abraham was prepared to butcher his only son after hearing a voice. The standard for what is acceptable before Allah was set a long time ago. Even murdering one's own children is not out of the question. Christian sanctimony is the rare quality of casually shooting one's own foot...hey thanks selective amnesia |
