Orikinla:Do you find it rational to judge a man by his looks? How is a decent person supposed to look like? |
wirinet:If you wish to be logical, you have to embrace consistency, irrespective of your moral leanings. Comparing in.cest to in-breeding isn't any more rational than those who compare homosexuality to inability to reproduce. Inbreeding can happen without recourse to in.cest, and in.cest can happen without resulting in conception (imagine gay in.cest, for example). And yes, if someone's sexual preferences is with their siblings, or other relatives, as long as they have attained the age of consent, there is nothing that should stop them from expressing their love to each other. ---------- Note: I have had to modify my comment because this overzealous Nairaland bowdleriser also confuses inbreeding and in.cest |
Gay people do not need your prayers or condemnations. They just need to be left alone. If you're straight, focus on getting yourself a husband/wife and/or boyfriend/girlfriend of the opposite gender. If you already have one or several, as the case may be, focus on strengthening your relationship with them. Leave gay people to their devices and stop bothering them with your inane and trivial fancies because they aren't bothering you with theirs. Let them focus on their means of expressing love just as you focus on yours. |
PedroJP:I hope you're willing to sacrifice yourself as one of the 30 million. I also hope you've sought the consent of the remaining 29,999,999 you plan to kill as a result of your 'noble' ambition. |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:You do realise that your inertia argument is only valid in the absence of an external force, right? As it turns out, F=ma. I assume here, that you know you're essentially matter. All matters have effective mass 'm' and the object approaching the core is also experiencing 'g' from the earth's core. As g=a, you cannot assume inertia when g is, in fact, acting on you. |
XavierBlue:Dude 1) Isn't it a stretch to pass a mere assumption for one of "57 great facts"? 2) Your so-called assumption was unqualified. You only mentioned 42 minutes, you never mentioned how so. Will it be based on gravitational pull or based on your newly acquired tunnel navigator which moves at a steady velocity of 303km/h, irrespective of counterforces? Your fact should more aptly read like this: Supposing you're not vaporised under the intense heat emitted from the core, and assuming only gravity, it'll take you about eternity to get to the other side. |
naija2dabone:Op either doesn't know how to count or doesn't know what a word is! |
I don't actually believe Osinbajo was locked out of any security meetings, but if he was, especially for the reasons given by this 'expert', all those who think like him are just arrogant pricks who think with their bottoms. Osinbajo might lack military background but that doesn't mean he would not have useful input. But granted he doesn't have any useful contributions to put on the table, security of the country is a high priority problem to be tackled, and must be done with cohesion and consistency. I say that to day this: If something tragic happens that incapacitates the president, who do you think will take over from him? So what kind of phony security 'expert' does not realise that for this sole reason, the vice president needs to be kept abreast of matters touching upon the security of the country. You guys should really be critical thinkers before you take the words of charlatans claiming to be experts. |
dayo23:You're being incredibly foolish if you think the army shouldn't be probed for their role in terrorising civilians. Perhaps we should just pretend the extrajudicial killings didn't happen. |
kibo:What are you on about? The administrative head of a ministry is its PermSec, not the minister. The minister is the political envoy of the president to the ministry whose job it is to compile/communicate the political agenda of the government in power into digestible and workable technical nuggets for the civil servants to implement. Ministries will continue to run as they always have without a minister. There would be no sudden change. In fact, the sudden change will only happen after the minister has been appointed. He should take his time to do it right once and for all, rather than rush and then persist in the highly distracting annual ritual of cabinet reshuffle. |
This is most definitely NOT Buhari's supposed wish list. It's the fanciful but directionless opinion written by a daily trust columnist called Mahmud Jega. |
Feranmicharles:That's probably a translator device and not music. Remember he's in a francophone country. |
harjorlarh:Don't be absurd. "Dark matter" is a pretty self-explanatory term. It's a placeholder given to a phenomenon that exists. We all know that all matter exact a form of gravitational pull; and at the fringes of the universe, where light cannot reach, we experience this gravitational pull, hence the name "matter". "Dark", because it is presently imperceptible. Just like electrical "black boxes" where you use known responses of electrical effects (like resistance, impedance, inductance, capacitance etc) to determine what sort of electrical components are in them. |
IamPatriotic:Not true that the person has to be retired. Ribadu remained active in the force through out his tenure at EFCC, and even after. |
tuncy:EFCC was, from the onset, rigged to acquire its leadership from the pool of people with law enforcement and judiciary background. Unless this is changed institutionally, Jega and other civilians heading it is just a pipe dream. |
mikolo80:Looks like my point is lost on you. Gold only has the value it has because man decides to use it as a standard. There's no reason why gold should be inherently more valuable than steel, for example. In essence, my point is that this value could quite easily be transferred to paper money, as is already the case with dollars...the question Tinubu poses, therefore, is, why stop half way? You might as well substitute dollars with Naira. Granted, dollars is the standard currency of international transactions. Nevertheless, our informal/local economy is much larger than our oil economy, so rather than leave it at the mercy of a currency that doesn't directly impact it, why not just allow it to thrive on its own by enforcing naira as THE independent legal tender? |
mikolo80:I'm astounded you seem to think gold has some inherent value |
I do have interest in the outcome of this discussion. Unfortunately, there's very little I can contribute, myself, as my expertise is more in the physics discipline than biology. Apologies that I couldn't be of help, Peterken05. |
I'll come back to a family so mixed blooded that foolish primordial tribal sentiments wouldn't exist. |
Brilliant initiative. Why was Nigeria and South Africa overrepresented though? Surely these aren't the only musicians in Africa, assuming this was intended as a Pan-African initiative. |
shaddi:I don't know where timaya has gotten his thought terminating remark from. Actually, slaves were the hardest of all workers. |
Yeah, where's Patience oo. Even Buhari is asking Nigerians to give him Patience. Na wa oo...dis one everybody dey find patience left right front and back, where she go? |
PART TWO --------- And then both babies were delivered. Mama separated them both, held the believer tightly to her bosom while she proclaimed "This is my child in whom I am well pleased" She then looked straight into the eyes of the sceptical one with scorn and disdain, then proclaimed: "You denied my existence while I carried you, even though you could have taken the chance, however remote. All I needed was for you to sheepishly believe in me. Yes, I didn't provide any useful evidence of my existence, but I was just testing your ability to make baseless assumptions and dogmatically stick to them. You've failed miserably. As such, I shall cast you into my oven running in full blast when we get home, where you shall burn for eternity or for as long as it takes to turn you to ashes. You ungrateful disbeliever" Mama got home, and true to her word, burned baby sceptic. Dad arrived from work saw what had happened, shuddered at the sight of his burning baby, with tears profusely flowing down his cheek, he quickly alerted the police about the morbid situation in his house. Mama was charged to court and determined to be a danger to children. No sooner had the court proceedings started than mama was found to be in need of psychiatric attention. She was locked away forever in a psychiatric home where she languished until death. Meanwhile, dad agonisingly took care of the other baby as a single parent. What a sad life for dad. THE END ------ Moral of the story: god is a psychotic, megalomaniacal sociopath in need of psychiatric help, alas, god does not even enjoy the luxury of a conscientious, loving spouse...AVOID GOD LIKE A PLAGUE! |
Volksfuhrer:Lol... Nice one! |
Adelaide2:Wow! And more bigotry from someone evidently offended by the words attributed to Wole. I refuse to even contemplate descending to your crass class. You're pathetic!! |
anonimi:Yes, I agree, so what's your point, exactly? |
Uchenna has presented a compelling commentary on the whole charade that is Jonathan's concession. I align with his retort that Jonathan should be patriotic enough to contest the veracity of the announced results if he feels shortchanged. Anything contrary would do the presumed 'vast majority' that voted for him a great injustice. Nobody should rule the country on a stolen mandate. I'll also be interested to know what comes of the numbers announced in Southern and eastern states that witnessed the most peaceful and fair elections of all time. |
