Yes, FG should allow all states to fend for themselves.

Will you support resource control? Apart from oil, which other natural resources is being extracted and to generate revenue that is being shared?

Kindly list them and how much is generated yearly.

You whole Federal budget is benchmarked against oil prices. why is is so?

Surprised kor. No be their oil money FG dey share to everyone as federal allocation?
good

You are responding to recidivist liars. Stop wasting your time.

Where is FG getting the money from for FAAC?

apart from that, most oil companies and the oil service companies are domiciled in Lagos and pay taxes to Lagos State. Most Chevron workers are employed in Lagos, resident in Lagos and comes to work at Escravos, they pay taxes to Lagos State. It is the same for other companies because Lagos was the Federal Capital.

But when the waste want to talk, they will start running their mouth waaaaa.

The same way Osun governor claimed he can run the state without FAAC, but as soon as oil price dipped, he was the first governor to start owing workers salaries.

Incase you don't know, no lady would want to stay with a stingy man.... so if you are avoiding ladies because of common billing, you will still spend when you eventually want a girlfriend. You can't escape it. Keep running!

Biko, this is a new year, you men should learn to spend on your girlfriend/wife. Don't tight your hands.

Akagum!

I like Biafra men, but Op you see this post I quoted, is a Biafra woman. They are the ones who make men insult all women. There case is worse. The always feel entitled just for the fact that they have a slit inbetween their legs. It mostly them that call a man they don't have any relationship with AKAGUM. He has addressed the Chatham house before so this is not a big deal. I will be here to shame you after the success of his next Chatham house address.

I am always ashamed when so called educated Nigerians make comments online. How many of the UK politicians came to speak at Aso Rock, or US Presidential candidates has gone to speak in Chatham House or any other country as part of compaign? except going to address their citizens in diaspora.

And we still wonder why Africa is not developing, writing rubbish about how Europe underdeveloped Africa.

The irony of the whole thing is that the same people supporting this charade will condemned it should another candidate do the same.

Travel / Re: Ganduje Launches Kano Mass Transit Scheme With 100 Buses, 50 Taxis by agitator: 11:47am On Nov 01, 2022
Kasssandra:

So, don't complain if you get what you pay for.

People who earn below minium wage cannot suddenly pay for high quality service...so they get poor quality.

Add the fact that even when we remove looting and end corruption (I am not denying that government is bad, or corrupt...they are|)...we don't have the kind of money to maintain and run a high quality bus/mass transit service.

Keep in mind that we import the busses, and the spare parts....and it cost money to lkeep them running.

Calling me oppressor does not change the facts.

Either Kano has a budget of 30 billion dollars per annum....or we pay sensible fares.

So, the buses are meant for rich people who can afford better bus services. hmmmmmmmm.

I understand you clearly now, in UK, US, Japan, and most of Europe where they have efficient top class bus services, those on minimum wage don't board public buses. I learnt a new thing today. Thanks
Travel / Re: Ganduje Launches Kano Mass Transit Scheme With 100 Buses, 50 Taxis by agitator: 10:38am On Nov 01, 2022
Kasssandra:
The problem with the mass transit scheme is not the launching...but the maintenance.

Within a few years, all the buses are going to be scrap, and the thing will fail...because the people of Kano won't pay the kind of money...either in fares, or subsides...that would be needed to keep the thing running.

I bet that the standard fare would be less than 200 naira. Meanwhile, Kano state does not collect enough in taxes, and the revenue from oil is not enough for a big state like this.

If i suggest that Kano people should pay something like 700-1000 naira per trip as fare, many people will shout 'We are poor'. Well, at the end, you get what ye pay for.

It is people with your mindset that is at the helm of affairs, running this country aground.

Mininum wage = N30,000.

Bus fare to Work N700 x2 = N1,400 * 5 (days) = N7,000 (week) * 4 (weeks) = N28, 000 (minimum)
Bus fare to Work N1,000 x2 = N2,000 * 5 (days) = N10,000 (week) * 4 (weeks) = N40, 000 (Max)

Minimum Wage N30,000 - N28,000 = N2,000 to take care of feeding, accommodation, clothing, etc. (Using your minimum)

Minimum Wage N30,000 - N40,000 = -N10,000 (borrow to take care of transportation, feeding, accommodation, clothing, etc. (Using your minimum) grin grin grin grin

I support your reasoning logic.

I read online where Obi's supporter are hailing their candidate for allowing his son to pursue his passion in acting abroad. I see this as an example of failed parental influence. How could a billionaire businessman failed to lead his son in the same path he'd followed. Except I missed it, i have read online that he Obi inherited fortune from his own parent but why did he want to change the standard?
I have nothing against his son but the hard-hearted-father.

The path to success for Alexander the Great was laid down by his father Philip of Macedonia, Xerxes the King of Kings becomes great because Darius 1 hand over a prosperous kingdom to him. The Biblical Isaac become great and wealthy because Abraham his father amassed much wealth and hand it over to him. These are few old examples. In recent years....read more

A typical Nigerian mindset. This are the type of people who will force someone to go into an area he doesn't have any single interest. Later they will tag the person a failure. I hope all the Billionaires, their kids did just the same thing their parents are doing. And the Billionaires their Fathers were billionaires and they also followed in their footstep.

Hope, Mark Zuckerberg's father was a billionaire through social media business and Mark was mentored in the same line by his father?

If they would release Kanu, then they should bring Abubakar Shekau back to life.

He was busy creating a millitary in another country, and the sponsors kept supplying them guns and bullets.

Mumu followers thinks those guns and bullets would be used on northerners, come out on Monday naa, or send your children to school. We will start seeing implication of these on education and economy of southeast in few years.

Meanwhile, sponsors don't care, as far they get their country, and you that Kano has deceived, and made to feel other parts of the country is new York, we will see how they will give you ordinary LG chairman, when sponsors, and big men start coming in and claiming lands, oil wells, presidency etc, you will realize it's a rich man's world

People are a burden to you, so why not let them go. Then pass a life VISA BAN for all easterners not to enter your country. wink wink wink

At least Lagos state is giving updates from time to time telling people to evacuate some areas....

Buh you see other states they're still waiting for FG to du everything see Kogi for instance that Yahya no even dey concerned....

People in most states, where do you want them to evacuate to? In well organised places the governemnt provides shelter and also means of transport. But in a country like Nigeria some people are celebrating proactive governors who just make press statements for people to evacuate to higher grounds without providing a means for them to evacuate and shelters. Government just instructing people, majority of them live from hand to mouth.

It just shows the intelligence level of Nigerians, and people still wonder why the country is not progressing, with 95% of so called literates, graduates and even Masters holders reasoning this way. It is just a pathetic situation. undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

Transportation is a basic human need and Asiwaju is already taking steps to solving the bottlenecks that has plagued Road transport in Nigeria and our 6 Trillion bloated fuel subsidy dilemma even before his presidency so that gives you a clue to how proactive he will be as a leader.
