sparkleRed: Since I am now a federal worker unto nysc am expectant also, I wantu make my christmas hair mbok and buy my christmas clothes and shoe ku bok Abasi
zaragal: No doubt yoruba guys love women most esp the ogun state counterparts ...but u met the wrong guy..hav had my own fair share of an unfaithful, unstable yoruba guy. The guy in question doesn't even sleep with di ladies but he would rather sit in the midst of 12 gurls and snap photos and upload it on bbm dp, whatsapp or all other social platform for his gf to see dan being with his male friends...he loves the company of to many girls. Dats the problem yoruba men love gurls, dey love the company of gurls but no doubt the Good christian one makes a different. Yoruba are very caring pple an the hav a good child upbringing.....if u complain abt yoruba guy pls date an Anambra or mbaise imo state guys u will hate ur sef more...any day anytime I would rather rather yoruba guy to an Igbo guy...Team i love yoruba guys
All of them should go and sit down somewhere, diamond just sent me a mail saying interest rate has dropped on my savings account. What kind of new month gift is that?
daretodiffer: How does the use of hijab make Nigeria a Muslim country?
Why is hijab accepted in British schools, USA and other western countries
Why would any sane Muslim protest?
Some school of thought believes in the use of long hijab. They believe that it is correct mode of dressing therefore it is paramount to their worship as bible is to a Christians.
The man has not given any tangible reason for banning long hijab in NYSC
I only gave u the definition of a secular country and since it's the yardstick (secular) you are using for your argument then we should follow it to the letter. He gave a reason, the security situation situation the country is currently bedeviled with. I believe this reason is genuine enough for the time being (I hope you do know it's restricted only to the 3 weeks in camp?) Is the bold your response to why Muslims have never protested the killings by the 'extremists'
daretodiffer: The fact that it is a secular state means that you have to respect the laws of the land and also have to consider that this religion has more than 40% adherents in Nigeria
not spiritual: of or relating to the physical world and not the spiritual world: not religious That's Merriam Webster's definition of secular, going by that definition it means anything religion is not accepted in government establishments in secular nations. Yet you guys keep yapping about hijabs, the DG is not banning hijabs in total but the long flowing ones and his reason for doing this is plausible but you all keep screaming blue murder. We don't hear of any Muslim body protesting the carnage wrought by your extremists. I guess mode of dressing is more important than human lives
sparkleRed: 2day na my convocation at University of Benin you all re invited to cme snap wit me no food oo tho
Yayyyyy, happy convocation. You should have told me earlier jor, would have just entered Warri yesterday and then ball in to Uniben today. Congratulations and big Bear hugs from my side
All these Islamabad folks be shouting Nigeria is a secular state, the fact that she is a secular state means you conform with official rules and regulations irrespective of whether it goes against your religious beliefs. And for goodness sake, you all should read the post again, 'lban on long hijabs not on all hijabs'
gjugcvbnu: guys pls m new here. and I mid answer asap...I tried applying for university of toronto but I kips asking for postal codes and it doesn't leave d page.... pls help
free2ryhme: from the look of it Nudity seems to be your major problem. I served in gubio borno state you Muslims are hypocrites you cover yourselves with hijab and indoors watch porn.
gather in dark locations at night with your so called hijab doing rubbish sexual acts in coded areas
You are so correct, my G's sister schooled in Unimaid and according to the stories he told me as told to him by his sister; during the night, you will see an 'eleha' reclining on the wall with an extremely bogus hijab; a dude is actually under the hijab doing some ding dong ding. Yorubas call pple like them 'abo ri ma bo wa' literal translation, those who cover their hair but who don't cover their attitudes (i.e their attitudes stink)
enieme: I said it too that short him an was allowed on camp where I was. Which isn't the case for all regions. And according to this news it says no hijab at all so I don't get it.
Read the article well, I think it says the long flowing ones are prohibited.
personal59: Mr don't let us fool ourselves the two main religion in Nigeria is Islam and xtianity and do also ask yourself why xtian public holidays are always long wait till dec by 18th holiday start till January so do u also query that too?
Oga! Easy with the lies, is it in this same Nigeria that the FG declares Dec 18th to the new year a holiday?
enieme: Just out of camp but him an was actually allowed in m camp. Although it wasn't to be longer than elbow length. If this is d official stand then I say it's stupid. In fact y even implement a compulsory 3 weeks camp nd first instance when u aren't ready to give pple their rights Even d UK would never make a lwlaw like this despite it's secuparity. Every religion is given their freedom of rights. That's how civilized countries think. Not like this jungle called country. Naija Don tire me.
Answer this question, are terrorists in the UK using girls on hijab to bomb the country? There is a security situation in Nigeria and it's obvious we need to be careful to avoid stories that touch, read the article well; they didn't place a ban on hijab in total but on the long flowing ones.
anonimi: This shows a major DEFICIENCY in our society whereby our 36 state governors have refused to RECRUIT professional, qualified teachers using NYSC corpers every year thus increasing UNEMPLOYMENT of our youths and defeating one of the main objectives of the NYSC- fresh graduates gain RELEVANT experience to their study, not so
Smart youths should be PROTESTING this abuse rather than making fun of this SAD, terrible situation. When shall we be wise? When
This is my major problem with the scheme, most if not all state govts are not interested in employing the required personnel because they know there is always a batch of Corps members they can use in bridging the gap at a very cheap cost. You can imagine a situation where a school has just one maths teacher, no physics and chemistry teachers, commerce etc. These are core subjects for the science and commercial students. All these state governors deserve death by hanging
