A rare two-headed copperhead snake has been
discovered in the US.
The baby Eastern Copperhead was found in a
garden in Richmond, Virginia, on Thursday.
The unusual serpent was captured by Virginia
Wildlife Management & Control and is now being
looked after by an experienced private reptile
keeper.
The snake was taken to the 'Wildlife Center of
Virginia' for radiographs so experts can see how
the two heads function with the body.
The baby specimen was examined by the state
herpetologist, JD Kleopfer in Waynesboro, Virginia.
Kleopfer wrote on Facebook : "Wild bicephalic
snakes are exceptionally rare, because they just
don't live that long.
"Too many challenges living day to day with two
heads.

Despite their ninth African title triumph in Ghana,
Thomas Dennerby's ladies dropped a place in the
latest global football ranking
Nigeria senior women team dropped to 39th spot
in the last Fifa women ranking for 2018 released
by Fifa on December 7.
The Super Falcons went into the 2018 Africa
Women Cup of Nations as the 38th best nation in
the world, but a record ninth title-winning feat in
Ghana failed to save them from moving a spot
down.
At the biennial women's football event, Thomas
Dennerby's ladies managed four wins and a
defeat in five games that ensured a qualification
ticket to the 2019 Fifa Women's World Cup in
France.
The Super Falcons commenced their campaign
losing 1-0 to South Africa, before bouncing back
with a 4-0 win over Zambia, followed by a 6-0
win over Equatorial Guinea to progress from
Group B.
Having advanced, they edged past Cameroon and
Banyana Banyana on penalties in the semi-final
and final respectively to retain the coveted
continent's crown for the third time in a row.
Even with the slip, Nigeria are still the best nation
in Africa, while Awcon third-place winner
Cameroon rose three places to 46th, while
runners-up South Africa climbed two spots to
48th in the world.
On Saturday, Nigeria alongside other African
representatives will know their fate as regard,
who they will be facing in the preliminary stages
at next year's quadrennial event in France.

A hotel rape suspect, who is said to have
threatened his victim with venomous snakes, has
died after being bitten by one of them.
The suspect, known only by his surname of Fan,
was discovered dead inside his hotel room in
Fuzhou City in East China's Jiangxi Province.
He was found on Thursday, after a
woman spoke to Chinese police accusing the man
of rape.
Viral footage, which has been viewed more than
16 million times, shows one of the venomous
snakes escaping the hotel room and slithering
through the corridor before being caught by
firefighters.
Qingyun Police Station officer Huang Xiaoyun said
preliminary findings suggest the victim had been
coerced by the suspect
He then forced her into his hotel room and
threatened her with three venomous snakes
unless she had sex with him.
A police officer said: "She was frightened, so she
agreed."
The suspect is said to have been playing with his
snakes in the bath afterwards when one of them
bit him.
He did not seek medical attention and instead lay
on his bed following the accident late on
Wednesday, November 21.
The victim claims she then escaped the hotel
room to report the rape, with police arriving to
find the suspect dead from the snake bite.
Authorities said at least one of the man's snakes
has been identified as a Many-banded krait
(Bungarus multicinctus).

danny welbeck may have already played his final game for Arsenal with reports suggesting he will not be offered a new contract at the Emirates. The England striker suffered a serious ankle injury last month in the Europa League 0-0 draw against Sporting Lisbon, which might rule him out until the end of the season. It has now been widely reported that Welbeck will join Aaron Ramsey in not being offered a new contract as Unai Emery continues to shape the squad in his own identity. The 28-year-old has required two rounds of surgery on the troublesome ankle, and he may not have another chance to demonstrate what he can offer Emery on the pitch. Welbeck has scored five goals in 14 appearances this season, but the severity of the injury means he won't be rushed back to fitness. Arsenal have previously offered new contracts to crocked stars as a show of support and an incentive to come back stronger, as witnessed with Santi Cazorla and Abou Diaby, but Emery is taking a sterner approach. The club recently offered Mesut Ozil a new £300,000-a-week deal, while large contracts were also handed to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan last January. Welbeck turned down the chance to join Southampton last summer, and since joining the club for £15m from Manchester United in 2014, the striker has scored 32 goals in 126 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.

According to an announcement made by the
Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, Spain and
Morocco are discussing the possibility of placing
a joint bid for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Africa
and Europe could jointly host the World Cup if the
plan was to be successful. The Spanish premier
has already held talks with Morocco’s King
Mohammed VI about the same. If the bid was to
be successful it would present the possibility of
one of the most interesting World Cup showdowns
there has ever been.
According to the Spanish primer, the bid will
involve Portugal as well. The first joint hosting of
the World cup was in 2002. The tournament was
hosted by Japan and South Korea, for the first
time in Asia. The World Cup was also played for
the first time on African soil when South Africa
hosted the 2010 world cup. A joint host by two
continents will certainly be something FIFA
officials would want to consider, giving there is
always a controversy about biases in hosting.

the match between south africa and seychells ended in 0-0 draw today, who could have belief that the same south africa who wallop seychell 6 nill would find it difficult to score against the 139 rank team. they are still on top of the group with 7 points follow by nigeria with 6, a win for nigeria today will see them topping the group with 9 points.
