I am not surprised at the EVIL the Libyan brigands are perpetuating against the Black African people. The Arabs have always hated the Black Man. This is evidence in the fact that you hardly find Blacks in Arabs nations. During slave trade, the Arab slave masters maltreated Black Slaves and castrated them thus depriving them the ability to procreate whereas the European Masters gave black Africans such opportunities thus you have blacks in Europe and America. I weep for the black Africans who kill themselves because of the religion they borrowed from the Arab nations. The ARABS hates the black man. #SayNoToSlaveryInLibya

More photos of the flood incident on Sunday June 4, 2017

Flood has taken over our church- The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim & Seraphim (ESOC) at Abule Egba, Lagos. This unfortunate occurrence is as a result of improper channeling of drainage at the road leading to Agege from the newly commissioned jubilee bridge at Abule Egba, Lagos. We therefore call on the Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwumi Ambode to do some thing this life threatening flood situation in this area. Expedited action need to be taken to address this life threatening flood situation before it becomes more toxic.

Mumu! wetin concern Buhari here? MrEgbegbe: |
He stated that he has resigned and yet the boss is still intimidating him. The truth is your so-called boss has no case here since one month notice was not stated in your contract of employment. He is only ranting. Whenever he calls you again tell him that you are going to report him to the police. It's your right to decide whether to continue to work or not to continue. obembet: |
"He that got his palm kernel cracked by a benevolent spirit should not forget to be humble" says Chinua Achebe in his book 'things fall apart'. Unfortunately the black South Africans have contravened this famous proverb of Ibos’ in Nigeria, this they did by taking arms against Nigerians and other black Africans in their country after what we did to liberate them from the obnoxious apartheid regime. In 1976 at the OAU convention at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, the then head of State of Nigerian - Late Gen. Murtala Mohammed delivered a sensational speech titled 'Africa has come of Age', in this speech, Gen. Murtala Mohammed stressed the need for total freedom of Africa states from any form of imperialism and colonization. He condemned in strong terms the apartheid regime in South Africa and advocated that Africans should be allowed to take their destinies in their own hands. The above famous speech set the ball rolling for the liberation of most African States especially in Southern Africa sub region with countries like Zimbabwe getting their independence few years later. Nigeria as country played a leading role in the liberation of the southern Africa countries but today the only appreciation we could get from them is flagrant disregard and killing of our nationals in their countries. What is wrong with the black man? Is the constituents of his brain different from that of other human race? The so-called xenophobic attacks in South Africa perpetuated by the black south Africans is only targeted at the black man why exempt the white? It's a well-known fact though the political power in South Africa is in the hands of the blacks but the white South Africans controls the economy of the nation. They have the economic power and there are other white immigrants in the country, so why did these black brigands singled out only the black immigrants for their attacks? I am particularly not happy with South Africa because directly or indirectly I also participated in the campaign against apartheid regime in South Africa while I was still in secondary school. I remember that we use to shout ”apartheid is a crime against humanity" at the assembly ground every morning until 1994 when the apartheid regime ended in South Africa. Apart from the aforementioned, many famous Nigerian musicians like Sunny Okosun, Majerk Fashek etc sang songs in solidarity with black South Africans against their white tormentors and the infamous apartheid regime. For the black South Africans to take up arms and start murdering Nigerians and other black Africans in their country is most unfortunate and shows how ungrateful they are. Befuddling is that the South African police was alleged to have also participated in the killings. Very unbecoming of a nation. More bewildering is the fact that the government of South Africa have not taken any decisive action against this murderers and brigands for the innocent souls they have wasted. It’s only the black man that will loot and plunder the treasury of his nation; then lauder the money out to already developed nations while his home country is in abject poverty. What is the problem of the black man? What about the attacks by Fulani Herdsmen in Nigeria? How can a people commit genocide against its own people without any form of provocation? The various occurrences in Africa today have forced me to a bitter conclusion that there is a fundamental problem in the psyche of an average black man. May God save Africa! |

Atiku can never rule this country. If he likes let him begin to blackmail the govt of the day just to get sympathy but he can never rules us. He is one of the problems of this nation. Let him explain to Nigerians, the source of his wealth. He is presently singing a new song 'restructuring' why didn't him suggest restructuring Nigeria when he had the opportunity to be the VP for 8 good years. tolastikha: |
The fellow that shut you up is brainwashed. God did not create all human race to speak mono language that was the essence of the 'Pentecost Day' when the disciples were speaking in different tongues basically for evangelism such that everybody present at the feast of Pentecost could hear the world of God in their mother tongues. The greatest challenge of Islam is lack of flexibility and inability to evolve with modern reality. |
The various options are not working. Hope they resolve this issue soon. Kudos to the FG! |

After empirical study and a critical analysis of the trajectories of Nigeria as a nation and the various ills that have buffeted her over the years; having also juxtaposed these events with her current circumstance, I have therefore been left with no other option than a bitter conclusion with utmost chagrin that the demons buffeting NIGERIA are more than the elements working for her. What a pity! |
‘NKEREFI’ – AN ENCLAVE OF THE VULNERABLE Agriculture hub cum food basket of Enugu State, a clan with deep rooted rich Africa culture and customs. A generous, courageous and loyal people. The aforementioned attributes is evident in her consistence alignment with the popular political order of Enugu State. Regrettably, Nkerefi has been gravely buffeted with lack of visible social amenities and absence of government presence over the years. A town abandoned by her brothers due to her physical appearance - a circumstance which become of her not by any fault of her but an aftermath of her efforts to better the lots of her brothers. This is a replica of the events described in the Songs of Solomon 1:6 which reads thus …“Don’t stare at me because I’m dark; the sun has tanned me. My mother’s sons were angry with me. They made me the caretaker of the vineyards, but I didn’t take care of my own vineyard”. Nkerefi has been used and jettisoned by her brothers and left to rot in a deplorable state. A town remembered by politicians only during elections and when she contributes the needed votes to install them in power at the government house in Enugu, she is yet again abandoned and forgotten that she exists in the map of Enugu State. Worrisome is the mass exodus of the youths from the town making her an ‘enclave of the elderly and vulnerable’. Do you blame the youths? No of course! Alas! The town has been severed from her neighbors due to inaccessible roads and broken bridges. Who will restore the pride and glory of our Nkerefi? Who will defend her against external aggressors and the evaders - since the town has been left desolate and abandoned to be indwelled by only the elderly, feeble and vulnerable? We therefore appeal to the Governor of Enugu state to come to our rescue and salvage Nkerefi by giving us the people of Nkerefi community the dividends of democracy as we cannot continue to be relegated to the background. |
Good one! Meanwhile please support me by liking my short story on the link below: My people, the occurrences in our village today is not only befuddling but perplexing unbecoming. Our women have usurp the role of men in this community such that they obey the dictates of their church leaders’ way above that of their husbands and tradition. We recently declared a feast but the women boycotted it on the directives of their churches thereby rubbishing our age long tradition bestowed on us by our ancestors. …. so what shall we do? “A viper crushed beneath your foot but left alive will rear up and bite you a double dose of venom. An enemy that is left around is like a half dead viper that you nurse back to health. Time makes the venom grow stronger”. The only enemy we have in this village is the church. We had an opportunity to have dealt with them decisively last time but we played it down; today they have succeeded in truncating our festival and turned our people against us. “They call our festival fetish because of public nude dance by our young ladies but they failed to address the daily public nude displays of our ladies hinged on modern fashion”. What must we do? “You don’t waste precious time trying to steal a sheep upon the dogs that guard the flock. Aim at the shepherd, lure him away and the dogs will follow. Strike him down and the flock will scatter; then you can pick them one by one” ‘Please explain’ It is simple, let us burn down the churches and banish their leaders out of our village, then the followers will become sheep without shepherd. Oh no Ijiebor! Violence only begets violence. We will disagree to agree but never to disintegrate; I subscribe to amicable dispute resolution. https://prize.etisalat.com.ng/flash-fiction/voteall.php?id=653 |

What is a traditional ruler doing in a polling boot? Why must a traditional ruler condescend so low to start have an altercation with a women at a polling boot? The simple fact is that the traditional ruler has lost his self-respect. |

ALTER YOUR ATTITUDE & DICTATE YOUR PROGRESS …. “God almighty created each and everyone of us for a place in the world, and for the least of us to think that we are created only to be what we are, and not what we can make (of) ourselves, is to impute an improper motive to the creator for creating us” - Marcus Garvey. Behavior is a by-product of attitude. That is, what a man preconceives is what he let out in form of behavior. Attitude is a mental disposition towards one’s self, another person, a thing i.e. it is the feeling given to any stimulus around us. No matter what the opportunities available to you; if you don’t greet such opportunities with positive attitude, you are doomed to fail. Attitude is the off-spring of nature, nurture and environment. Nature refers to all genetically inherited traits; nurture talks about the accumulation of life and living experiences (customs, tradition or culture) over time, while environment is centered on our present surroundings. William James an American Psychologist posited that “man alone of all creatures of the earth can change his own pattern. Man alone is the architect of his destiny. The greatest discovery in our generation is that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives”. Bewilderedly, some people cannot live above poverty because they’ve already resigned to fate believing that they are destined to be poor while they assume that those who are rich were designed and predestined to be rich. More baffling is the notion that they are helpless and cannot do anything to change and improve their circumstances. This set of people who adopts this kind of mindset, attitude and/or approach to life are not always ready to take risk nor make efforts to upturn their circumstance. They are usually, laidback, pessimistic, passive and with grave low self-esteem often characterized with ‘battered ego’. No one is destined to be poor. God created everyone with specific purpose and equal chances; what makes the difference and dictates the degrees of success is how one makes use of the various opportunities that comes one’s way and the level of one’s self-image. Discovering this worrisome trend of low self-concept among people and to dispel such mentality chiefly amongst the African- Americans, Marcus Garvey asserted that ... “God almighty created each and everyone of us for a place in the world, and for the least of us to think that we are created only to be what we are, and not what we can make (of) ourselves, is to impute an improper motive to the creator for creating us” . Attitude dictates and controls our behavior either consciously or sub-consciously. Some people believe that once a man is very wealthy, such a one must have involved in rituals or must have gotten the money through dubious means. This line of thinking is wrong. There are many legitimate businesses or productive activities that can make one rich without been involved in ritual practices or illegalities. It’s just for one to get one’s priorities right; be very calculative, sensitive, daring and effectively maximize the various opportunities that comes one’s way in which ever environment one finds one’s self. Don’t be like those mediocre who have concluded in their minds that significant wealth cum riches are exclusively reserved for a classified strata of individuals in the society. Don’t accept such heresies and do not allow such teaches to render you unproductive, uncreative and a dependent in the society. Our God is a rich God and has handed over to every one of us all we require to succeed. It’s now left for us to make effective use of this gifts, ideas and activate the latent powers inborn in us to better our lots. Poverty is not lack of money but the ignorant of your inborn inherent abilities. You are responsible for whatever you become whether rich or poor. Change your attitude & dictate your life outcomes! |
I have never had faith in Godwin Emefiele as CBN governor since 2014! He has no business being there. |
The bane of Nigeria development is trivialization of issues. Each time the issue of HND/degree comes up, they quickly quote that the law establishing polytechnic state that it should produce middle level manpower and they fail to realise that as at the time this laws were made, the polytechnic was only producing ND and there was nothing like HND nor post HND as we have today. This same group of people with this line of thought are the very enemies of polytechnic education in Nigeria. They want the status quo to remain so that they can continue to brag, stampede and intimidate their coworkers who are HND graduates. World over, the polytechnic system enjoys the same status as university and awards degree. If you doubt me check the dictionary meaning of a polytechnic you see for yourself. the only difference is that the two systems have different area of focus i .e polytechnic for Technology (applied Arts & Science) while university for research (academic subjects). As a matter of fact the polytechnic graduates are more remunerated than their university counterparts in countries like Germany etc Unfortunately, here in Nigeria we have decided to be retarded because of self-centeredness and ego centrism. Just like the Medical doctors in Nigeria who had decided to always manipulated the government to come up with policies that will elevate them above other health workers such that they can perpetually suppress other health professionals, some elements within and outside the polytechnic system have decided that the polytechnic system will not have it right place in Nigeria. Unfortunately for this group, things are gradually changing and this government has heeded the cries of HND graduates and the dichotomy has been removed. Let them continue to wail. Now come to think of it, in terms of performance it's on record that the polytechnic graduates do better in ICAN for several years now than their university counter parts. Again how many Nigeria universities really have the state of the art facilities to carry out research? What meaningful researches have Nigeria universities generated over the years to help improve the socioeconomic condition of our people? In the area of teaching what quality of teachings actually emanate from our universities at least if they are that good it will reflect on their products. This stereotypical thinking, egocentric and unnecessary power tussle that will do our nation no good must stop. I am not saying that the polytechnic system as its presently been run in Nigeria is perfect but I believe there is room for improvement if its properly run and given the right footing it deserve. I have passed through both systems (University & Polytechnic) and other professional examination bodies, I must confess that the polytechnic system is not doing badly at all when juxtaposed. God bless this government for heeding the call and bringing equity on the part of the HND graduates. HND is equivalent to degree and not the same! |

Corporate Cultures and Psychological Slavery Look at the average corporate cultures around in the world. They are mostly a nursery for breeding psychological slaves. This is beginning twenty first century. And the way I see the world, is that within 50-100 years, either current corporate cultures will be completely annihilated or they will have to drastically change their ways. Psychological slavery and neurotic cultures are rampant in businesses. They are nurseries for cubicle and psychological slavery. You pay the price of pawning your innate common sense and intelligence for a whole lot of nonsensical jargon, verbiage and deceptions. Average businesses are full of neurotic, sociopaths, borderline, and material obsessed, emotionally deaf, ego maniacs who need years of therapy. Businesses are full of them. And yet these ego maniacs infiltrate average corporate like fleas and poison more and more of humanity. Look at the average employees. They are chained to these toxic cultures and are functioning like unconscious drones. They fear their own lack of resources to break the chains. Is there a way out of this slavery? Yes. As employees begin to trust their own resources and start to recognize their purpose in life and their fulfillment, everything will begin to change. Everything. It will be hard to manipulate let alone chain employees into psychological slavery. They will realize their inherent powers which will help them to break the chains. Instead of existing like unconscious bored drones, they will wake up and start living more purposefully. The time has come that the neurotic, deception, low intelligence slavery driven corporate models begin to crumble. The more the people begin to realize that they can live more free than they are made to believe and that they have far more options than they imagine, the more the foundations of these slavery driven corporate models will be smashed. Like a Tsunami wave which hits the shore and annihilates everything in its sight. By Ashish Anand |
Your post above has revealed your level of ignorance. Apart from academic masters (for those that want to go into teaching/lecturing), you can be admitted into master degree programmes with your HND within and outside Nigeria. Please go and read University of Ibadan (UI) Post Graduate School prospectus for various post graduate programmes. Majority of us here are just advertising our ignorance and shallow mindedness to the entire world. I wouldn't blame you off course, you are beclouded with the ripple effect of the bureaucratic cum political tendencies of the managers of our educational system in Nigeria, a grave sin that have plunged Nigeria to the abyss of underdevelopment over the years. May God help us always to do the right thing. olawalepopoola: |

No where in the world can HND be compared to B.Sc. No where in the world can you find a HND graduate being admitted into masters without passing through PGD. Have you noticed that no lecturer in the polytechnic has less than a B.Sc? Universities are meant to train analytical minds. The results of their analysis is then transferred to technicians and technologists who build into machines. What is Technology - Technology is a PROCESS or TECHNIQUE of carrying out scientific study. All technology have always be founded on laws and theories that are only developed in universities across the world.
