I didn't reply the mail sent to me to confirm my availability and readiness for the training because I have gotten a job already. So no further communications on the resumption date was sent to me, I don't know when they are resuming.

To those taking the trainee offer, make good use of the opportunity, though employment is not guaranteed after the training.

Heard most of the past gets graduates have not been absorbed till now but that does not mean that there is no hope for the prospective gets. There is future at dangote since they are expanding. For me, where I am now is so much better.

Just got a call from dangote that I have been selected for the trainee programme but I have gotten a job already from another reputable company just this month June. I will likely forgo this of dangote gets offer.

This month, I had my interview on the 12th of May and the HR said that the interview would continue till the end of the month (MAY) and that we should expect feedbacks on or before 2nd week of JUNE. The training will start by JUNE ending.

I am as tired as you are. They have not gotten approval to run the programme,when they do,they will inform the successful ones. For sure,the programme will hold but nobody can say when.
The programme has not been cancelled or frozen, it will certainly hold.
Just forget them and get yourself busy, when they are ready, they will contact you guys.

Information I got today from an inside source Lagos has it that, they are on the process and that when they are ready, they will notify the successful ones.

Those that got the calls few weeks back were mainly electrical guys. The call has nothing to do with GETS recruitment. The reason why there were called was because a particular business unit of DANGOTE group based in Lagos needed the services of about 3 to 5 electrical guys who should be resident in Lagos, hence the question of state of residence/origin was asked.

For GETS the successful ones will be trained across all business units of DANGOTE group.The delay might not be unconnected with the bad Economic situation in the country.

The waiting continues... GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!

Well, that's is Mr Olukorede Fadeyi's personal number. Those called are those who had their interview at Obajana ,maybe they didn't fill that data during the interview and they might be among the successful ones when everything is eventually concluded. Majority of those who had their interview at Lagos are already on the merit list at the Headquarters Lagos.
It has been long that Obajana sent their interview results to Lagos. Once they are through with the consolidation of both results, they will notify the successful ones.

Information I got from Lagos today has it that we should be expecting information with regard to GETS as from third week of January 2017.

Nobody should worry; if you are successful you will be properly contacted.

I'm very serious n I applied for GETS n I wrote in lag, interviewed in obajana, electric electrical among dose called b4 in lag n later in obajana. mr agwuabia, I really didn't like the way in responded to my post, I was only posing n update. n it's true

If you were called by Mr Korode good. But I know when they start calling successful ones we will all know.

If they start calling we will all know..... whether they want to know your shoe size or your clothing size , we will all know. GETS is not a secret cult where only one or few people will be called.

Some people have come on this thread and gave fake information with regard to GETS 2016 recruitment and at the end they couldn't even scale through the test hurdle.
I advise that we should desist from posting information that is not genuine on this thread especially at this last stage of the recruitment process. I know we are all anxious to get their feedback and to also know our fates.

Eventually, the successful ones will be notified no matter how long it will take.Once everything is in place and when they are ready; they will contact the successful ones.

According to information from an inside source, they are still working on the results. The combined score of interview and test determines the order of recommendation/selection. Don't expect to hear straight after an interview as there are many things that need to be in place before candidates will be notified.

Congrats if you went through the written test and interview, you got very far. The resumption for the training will be next year either January or February.

Information I got now is that the training workshop isn't ready.

The electrical guys might be called later, on request. No demand for Electrical trainees now from various departments.

The workshop should be ready before the training starts,however if peradventure it is not ready before their scheduled starting time, the trainees will be taken to Dangote steel plant Oshogbo, Osun state for the workshop skills training. Then after the workshop skills training at Oshogbo, the trainees will come back to Obajana to complete the other phases of the training.

THE TRAINING OPERATES IN FOUR(4) PHASES, IT BEGINGS WITH:
(1) Basic workshop skills, progressing to
(2) Information Technology (IT) and personal skills , thirdly
(3) Plant skills and finally
(4) More advanced Training in Management and Leadership.

The Training will prepare the engineers with the necessary technical and supervisory skills required to become a team leader and highly skilled plant engineer in Nigeria and across Africa.

The Academy takes about a minimum of 50 candidates per year; It could be more than that. It is not easy to run a whole BATCH (consisting of 50 candidates or more) because it costs almost #3million to train each person. They have to make sure that everything is in place before contacting the successful once.

We have to be patient and prayerful so that we can be among the successful once that will be selected. ONCE THEY ARE READY, THEY WILL NOTIFY THE SUCCESSFUL ONCE.

It takes some standard organizations like Shell, Nigerian Brewelry and NBC more than a year to complete their recruitment process especially at entry level. Don't also forget that Nigerian ECONOMY is so bad at the moment. The strength of any company is dependent on the strength of the economy in which it operates.
I am not trying to justify their delay in this year's GETS recruitment; I am just stating the obvious.

They will contact us when the results are ready.They are currently consolidating the results. Hopefully, within the next three (3) weeks, we will know our fates. The Training will likely kick-off next year probably by first or second week of January 2017.

They also become more analytical about a woman's worth(But get this, not simply her value but her "RELATIVE VALUE". Men marry only when the perception is that we are gaining an asset. As it is now, that girl your friend wants to marry is an asset not a liability because she is working and independent.

Don't also forget that if a woman can show a man that his life will be better with that woman in it and he will be happier because of the presence of the woman in his life then the man will have no problem committing his life to the woman. I guess that your friend's wife to be has a good character and she is also independent, that's why your friend is hell-bent on marrying her even though she is not too pretty as you said.

Between me and you, I'll tell you this - relationships are between two people. It takes two to tango. the love, affection and time you said you bring to a relationship in your first post, a man can bring that too. A man can give you love and time too. If it's the sêx, you both enjoyed it and sêx is cheaper these days anyway and a man can get enough from other sources. What matters is what else you can bring to a relationship apart from the normal attributes you listed up there.

See, men are naturally less stingy than women coz we're by nature the bread winners and provider of the family which includes females. Yes, there are stingy men out there but there more stingy women than men out there too. Sometimes you don't expect the man to spend all the time, a little reciprocation according to your financial strength is okay. Buying foodstuffs and cooking for him is a way to spend on a guy. Getting him a perfume is also spending on a guy. And if that guys loves you and is financially okay, he'll appreciate those gestures and spoil you silly.

These days men are more attracted to women that shows they can contribute financially too no matter how little. For example, I don't mind a girl who's unemployed or maybe a student depending on her dad buying me boxers and stuff. Others might laugh at it but I'd appreciate it coz she's trying her best, and I'll reciprocate more than that depending on my financial status. She doesn't have to get me a gold. A little gesture is enough for me to know she's not stingy. Not staying back and allowing me spend all the time.


Also before you judge a guy as being stingy or not, try to juxtapose what he's earning or his current financial status with what he's affording for you. You don't expect a student who's depending on his father to get you costly gifts. The few he can afford, learn to appreciate it so he can be even be encouraged to do more. Reciprocate too. There's love in sharing. Cheers.

I don't really know whether they have been invited but a total of 23 chemical guys were invited for the interview at Obajana. I guess it contains the list of those that wrote at both Lagos and Obajana because no other interview will be conducted at Lagos again.

Good news to you electrical guys. I later found out the reason why the interview was cancelled. All the electrical guys earlier invited for the Lagos interview scaled through the test hurdle as against what obobocee posted earlier.
I already knew you guys will be invited again for your own interview because Dangote group is one of the few companies in Nigeria that can conduct recruitment transparently especially at entry level. At Dangote you don't need to know any person to get a place in the Academy as long as you scale through all the stages of the recruitment process. You don't also need to know any person in Dangote to get absorbed after the training, if any vacancy exists after the training.

What really transpired in Lagos was just a case of poor communication system. Thank God everything was well resolved.

It's different from GETS, it's for the Refinery. As a clue to what to prepare with , go the Refinery thread page 68 or 69 , you will see where it is clearly explained on how to go about the group discussion. Though GETS2016 recruitment is still currently at the interview stage.

Highest score was 87% for electrical
Pple also scored very low like 8%, but d least among d 19 people called was 57% on the list. The result came out after those in Lagos for 31st had been sent text msgs. And apart from the first 5 interviewed on 24/10/2016 wit scores ranging from 52%-40% those shortlisted for 31/10/2016 scored below 40%.
...hence d reason for cancellation.

I am not really surprised that the highest score for electrical for the October test is 87% and the set of people that wrote during that time scored very high in the test. The reason being that,you guys were practically told what the questions were and the answers to the questions. Infact you guys even cramed the answers to the questions before going into the exam hall. You can't tell me that those that wrote at Obajana are better than those that wrote at Lagos. It's a question of preparing with the right material.

I am not really happy the way they treated Lagos candidates. They were sent test invite 2 days to the test and they didn't have enough time to prepare.
I pray the Indian men from the headquarters don't consider only the 5 electrical guys that they interviewed by themselves at Lagos because they are the one incharge of the GETS recruitment ,the HR's only implement their decision.
