APC recent concluded election at the International Conference Centre, Abuja have witnessed the emergence of Femi Gbajabiamila as APC consensus candidate.
The PDP have a sizable number in the Senate and who ever wins the PDP support wins the senate. Bukola Saraki is Favored by the PDP and APC to succeed David Mark at the red chamber.
Tinubu is a natural winner and with him at the helm of affairs it is a win win which ever way u look. I don't like the toad but I respect his achievement |

- You wasted Osun State resources changing the name from Osun State to "State of Osun" what is the economic benefit of that project?
- You started a project you cannot finish. Building of an airport in Osun when the nearest Airport at Ibadan is only 45 Minutes drive to Osogbo the state capital.
- You begin the free-feeding of school children, now you cannot continue with it.
- The road you started from Osogbo linking all neighboring states are all abandoned already.
- You were busy constructing the tallest drum in the world, what is the economic benefit now ?
- You were busy sharing the state fund during the last Presidential election, now you are on RED!
- All your O'Yes projects are now moribund.

Imo, Anambra, Abia and Anioma(delta state) has oil... Mind you, Imo, Anambra and Abia is part of your so called Niger delta... Mr let me not believe u have a comprehension issue. Am a nija deltan am an ikwere man and not Igbo and I don't give a Damm about an itsekiris man opinion cos I have noting in common with an itsekiri man, let the truth be told we have more historic ties with the Igbo more than the itsekiri. So don't take it that for the fact we bear nija delta does not make us not knowing our individual roots. My argument remain that any nija deltan that sees the Igbo as his problem is a toddler and that is simple. Secondly the igbos don't and Will never need we nija deltans to survive so anytime they mentioned their Biafra don't see it as a ploy to annex we nija deltans cos they can't. So no nija deltan should see himself better than the Igbo cos there is noting we have they don't. If u say the igbos re not ur brother maybe the yorubas and the hausas re |

And even among those that are commercial, some are also so small to make any impact. Compare to d main Niger delta region, d oil in those place you listed is negligible. Its not in Comercial quantity nd yet imo is listed among the 6th largest oil producer in nija. The imo has 350 oil wels alone not to talk of gas. Politics › Re: My Government Will Focus On Agriculture Not Oil – Buhari by ahaz: 8:37pm On Jun 05, 2015 |
Ohammadike: In a bid to diversify the economy, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday said the Federal Government would not treat agriculture as a development programme but rather as serious business.
Speaking on behalf of the President in Calabar, Alhaji Umar Farouk, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development said the government will be supporting the private sector agriculture chain.
Buhari said this while declaring open the 55th Annual General Meeting of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
“Agriculture must cease from being treated as development programme; Agriculture must be treated as business.”
“Our goal will be to pursue government supported private sector agriculture value chain to make agriculture more productive, efficient and competitive.
“To provide enough food for domestic supply and create jobs through agriculture value chain,” Buhari said.
Buhari noted that Nigeria had the richest agriculture based mineral resources in Africa which means it does not need to import agricultural produce if the right investments are made.
Meanwhile, the new president of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Nigeria’s former minister of agriculture, Mr. Akinwunmi Adesina has vowed to eradicate poverty in Africa through infrastructural development, job creation, regional integration and development of agriculture at the rural level.http://www..ng/2015/06/05/my-government-will-focus-on-agriculture-not-oil-buhari/ Good thinking malam president am with u on dis one |

Politics › Re: Senate Presidency: Buhari Goes Back On Promise, Endorses Lawan, As Crisis Deepen by ahaz: 12:30am On Jun 05, 2015 |
adebisi000: President Muhammadu Buhar’s choice of Senator Ahmad Lawan for the post Senate President, has futther fractured the party caucus at the National Assembly.
This contradicts Buhari’s earlier position. He had said he was not interested in who emerges.
The move by Buhari has angered the camp of Senator Bukola Saraki, who believes the National Working Committee members in concert with Buhari may want Lawan who is viewed as more credible and a core northerner unlike Saraki
Buhari had said two weeks ago “I am prepared to work with any leader that the House or Senate selects, “It doesn’t matter who the person is or where he or she is from “there is due process for the selection of leaders of the National Assembly, and I will not interfere in that process.
35 out of the 59 senators-elect under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had declared their support for Saraki. He had posted the video of the endorsement on his Facebook and Twitter pages with the caption “videos don’t lie”.The APC at the General elections won majority of the 109 seats in the upper chamber.
Similarly, in a statement issued by Dino Melaye, for ‘Like Minds Senators’, he said, “Senators of the like mind are here today at the retreat organized by our dear party, All Progressives Congress, which is meant to equip and empower Senators-Elect of the 8th Assembly to prepare them toward the challenges ahead.
It was learnt that a meeting scheduled to decide on who takes the spot was to hold Tuesday at the International Conference Center in Abuja, was called off.
While some said the plenary was responsible for the shift to Saturday, others allege it was a ploy by the Lawan group to re strategize.
In a meeting a day ago with members of the party’s NWC, President Muhammad Buhari had signaled his preference for Lawan. According to Sahara Reporters, several sources at the meeting disclosed that Buhari said he was tipping Senator Lawan because of his experience and integrity. Mr. Lawan hails from Nigeria’s violence-ravaged northeast zone.
President Buhari had asked party leaders to present one candidate as a way of projecting a united front. However, it was learnt that the APC’s national chairman, Odigie Oyegun, was pushing for a primary to enable party members to choose between Saraki and Lawan. Some APC sources disclosed that Mr. Oyegun supports former Governor Saraki’s bid to emerge as the new Senate president.

Rivers
The former governor of Rivers State (Governor Rotimi Amaechi) did not only emptied the state treasury, he went further to vandalize all the Furniture, Vehicles and other things in the government House just to make the state difficult for his successor to govern. His successor even accused him of hiding the state government accounts.
