Pls madam, u need calm down ur nerves....since u have used several methods to stop his adultery act.......still nothing has changed....this means it is in his blood and it is only himself and God that can make the change.... if i were u, i will stop bothering myself in checking his phones and social media....but even wen i do i zero my mind off whatever i c..... Continue to pray for him may be he can stop this act one day....meanwhile dont report him to church elders cos it will only bring more shame to the family. To say the real fact, a lot of men are guilty of this offence...it just d way the way they handle it that is different....But whichever way we will always find out. U dont need to be contacting any of his girlfriends cos am sure they will end up disrespecting u. U still to talk to him cos he is a man of God that everybody is looking up to....to avoid bringing shame to d family Dont be too emotionally affected cos he doesnt put u into consideration at all....so dont allow this to get u.... I am sure other mamas will contribute, it is well..... miamimama: SAbi mama's in the house. Good morning o. I'm sorry for derailing this thread. Many thanks to you for d detailed explanation.....got it................e-hugs Onegai: (Lord knows why I'm doing this)
Relaxers and Texturisers are chemicals based on Sodium Hydroxide and Calcium Hydroxide. They are corrosive chemicals and cause a lot of burns on the scalp when applied wrongly. The difference between the 2 is that Texturisers are meant to be left on the hair for a shorter period. A texturiser is a lighter form of a relaxer. If you wanna put that harsh chemical on a child (when it is burning the scalps of millions of women around the world), that is your choice. But for the rest of us who would like to learn how to appreciate and manage our God-given natural hair texture, please continue reading.
African hair is very tightly coiled and thick and sebum doesn't travel up the strands as easily as Caucasian or Asian hair. That makes it prone to dryness and tangles. There is no such thing as stubborn hair, if your hair is hard to comb, it is because it is dry and kinky. There is a growing movement of women who are embracing theur natural hair and managing it well and it is growing to unbelievable lengths (the front of my hair is below my lips almost at chin-level natural. It's long). So the same tips that apply for them apply for anyone with natural hair (children and babies too).
Don't wash the hair frequently. Our hair ia already dry and most shampoos containing Sodium Laureth Sulphate (almost every shampoo on the market) dries it out further. If Baby E doesn't go swimming or rubs food in her hair, we wash once a week. She's not getting very dirty. Don't scrub at the scalp, add a little quantity of shampoo on hair, told baby's head back and wash once, rinse in that same direction to avoid the water entering her eyes.
Apply a conditioner, I use a leave-in conditioner. Conditioners' job is to soften and moisturize hair, and that makes it easier to handle. Adult conditioners tend to be heavy on younger hair because the strands are fine. There are children's lines like Kids Organics but even better there are organic lines like Cantu kids or Shea Moisture and even made in Nigeria ones like Shanyi organics (Hibiscus-based conditioner) or Natural Nigerian leave-in conditioner (Orange-based). Apply conditioner when hair is wet.
Apply either an oil or a butter: jojoba, coconut, almond or olive oils or Shea or cocoa butter work fine. This seals in the moisture and gives hair some slipperiness and allows combs to pass through the kinks.
You can wash once a week but add water and condition 2-3 times a week without washing. That is why you don't use an adult conditioner or use an organic conditioner, so that product build-up will be less and children don't itch at their scalps.
Use a big comb. Small combs snag in tangles and break the hair so use a big detangling comb first then neaten the hair with a small comb. Gently start at the tips of the hair and work upwards to the roots. Comb hair only when you have conditioned it and it is still wet.
Stop using rubber bands and tight accesories to style hair because I've seen babies whose hair has fallen out due to pulling tightly. Stop doing braid attachment (after the child has screamed her eyes out due to the tension from the braider she will now have to live with the heavy stuff on her delicate strands which will break). Baby E has patchy hair right now and some parts are long enough to plaid but I refuse to, I only add a hairband when she's going out. Don't comb hair often, infact just leave the hair alone. African hair is very fragile. If we are not going out, we don't comb out hair.
It is normal for babies upto 1 year to have patchy hair. It is not normal after 2 years for their hair to be scanty and patchy and breaking. And that is caused by mishandling. All those tight styles, braids and chemicals will result in them not having long hair by age 5.
All the products I've mentioned can be bought in Nigeria, there are stored who sell them online and will ship to you so please Google them. There are a lot of natural hair ladies who can explain more (Google them or go to Fashion section and ask them on their threads).
Zaynie, I hope I've fulfilled all righteousness and can be quiet now |

Many thanks to u for prompt response, pls is texturizer the same as detangler? If no, will i get it in any supermarket? MiracleMum: It instantly eliminates tangles and knots and the appearance of dry split ends. Hair becomes easily manageable with rich, luxurious shine. Most detanglers are formulated with natural herbal extracts to help nourish, strengthen and fortify; it also helps prevent hair loss due to breakage. With a detangler, the comb sails through my daughter's thick kinky hair with ease! I didn't check the price, because i bought it along with several other things.
Instead of retouching your girl's hair with a relaxer, why not try a texturizer; texturizers work in the same way as chemical relaxers with a few minor differences. They are not as harsh or damaging to the hair, and they do not completely straighten hair as dramatically as chemical relaxers. Instead, texturizers loosen the natural curls in a person’s hair. |

Education › Re: FG Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Awards 2016/2017 - Apply Now by Aim07(f): 10:43am On Apr 19, 2016 |
Snow30: It is not. FSB has no business with turkey anymore. To be applicable for the turkey scholarahip you must have applied for the turkey burslari scholarship straight on their website,. The scholarship, which is fully sponsored by The Turkish government, even the 200 dollars monthly stipend will be sponsored by the Turkish government. So the Nigerian government no longer has business with the Turkish Bea program since it will be fully sponsored by the Turkish, thus it is no longer bilateral. It is unilateral fully on the turkish. The deadline to apply was April 5th .the nomination will be done by and only the Turkish. Be checking your email frequently for a congratulation letter or a rejection letter. If you get a congrats letter, it wouldn't be over yet. You will still be finally interviewed by the Turkish were the final nomination will be made.
Some people picked turkey as their first choice for the FSB Bea scholarship, which was a huge mistake, if they didn't apply for it straight as the FSB doesn't nominate candids for turkey. At the first stage during the first exam we took at anambra, the FSB woman told us to remove turkey and apply directly by ourselves, but only few people were there yet and only few people heard the announcement.
I applied for the Turkish burslari scholarship. Did you? And did anyone here else applied? I applied too but have not heard anything o.....phd |
