TravelRe: Japa: Nigerians Lament As Canada Suspends Visa Operations In Abuja by airprince(m): 12:34pm On Nov 08, 2023
How does Canada 🇨🇦 shutting down operations temporarily in Abuja, Nigeria🇳🇬 affect you?

Your application and Admission letter are online.

Your medicals are at a designated Canada hospital in Nigeria.

Your stamped visa does not necessarily have to come from Abuja.

Those of you who have visas can see that sometimes, it comes from the UK🇬🇧

Better continue your application and don't allow ignorance affect your future.

So you think Canada🇨🇦 don't have alternatives by temporarily shutting down Abuja?

In your mind now, you think no Nigerian will get Canada stamped visa again abi?🤣😂

Musa, if you like cancel your Canada 🇨🇦 application.

That's your problem.

It will be challenging to convince the visa officer why you are pursuing an undergraduate diploma.
To answer your question, you can easily change the program without changing the status.
I did that because the school wouldn’t give admission to post grad diploma for my 2nd class lower it’s possible for me to get the visa and then change the school while in Canada?

[quote author=Zeewirld post=126438502]Good day great people.

Thanks for the previous responses.That has helped in many ways. Ottawa is among my shortlisted desired locations.

Ottawa actually comes first in most indices that I considered as per information garnered from here.However,I am shocked to see that airfare to Ottawa from Lagos is almost double the airfare to Toronto from Lagos.

My questions;

✓Please what is the best way to save cost on airfares.

✓Is it advisable and cheaper I fly to Toronto and take another flight or even a BUS to Ottawa??

✓Is it better to fly from Lagos to Montreal and get another flight or even a BUS to Ottawa?

@everyone . Thanks so much

May I know which school you’ll be attending I'm going to be resuming January in Algonquin college Ottawa so we can talk further if you interested

I will suggest you shouldn't be hasty in your decision or make one out of the prevailing economic situation; don't decide without thinking about the consequences, there is always a way out.
You can defer your admission from winter to summer

You should have simply waited till you were almost done with nysc before applying for admission in Canada and save yourself this whole stress.

I don't know why people hardly think things out these days, everyone seems to be acting on impulse.

By the way you can't Ghost your nysc completely cuz you still have to do monthly biometric thumbprint at your local government.
So there’s no way out on this

Guys pls I’m currently sitting at home idle and the boredom is currently killing me so I went up online to look up about possible tech skills I could take up without needing or learning how to code cause I’m not really interested in that aspect and I found out about UI UX DESIGNING and I’m currently fascinated and interested in learning about it since it suits my needs.
I furthered my research and came up with some tools like Figma and so many others so I’m just looking for guides on how to get started if possible links and tutorials and all related materials for a newbie and start learning the skills and necessary advice ….pls your help would be highly appreciated and I’m grateful in advance🙏

Canada is more expensive than relocating to the USA. With 8M you can migrate to the USA.
They reject visa applications alot

Evening everyone, I’m a young guy of about 22 and i graduated in 2021 from Delsu, after which I traveled to Cape Town last year and got a 3 years residency permit but I’m currently in Nigeria because the rent was too high and I wasn’t doing anything other than staying at home daily and money wasn’t coming in anymore like it used to so I went back to Nigeria.

Now I’m trying to figure out if it’s best I travel to Canada to further my studies basically work and study or stay back home here in Nigeria and start an extensive agricultural project; livestock’s & poultry(I’ve lands for that already)

Guys pls help me out I’m just so confused I just sit at home everyday doing nothing while I’m waiting for this Nysc letter it’s so boring.
