lol......My guy u don't really know what underwriting is. As far as insurance is concerned, those in underwriting are not in any way lazy, neither are marketers. Its just a simple issue, those in marketing go out to bring in business, while those in underwriting apply their technical knowledge in getting the policy written, process claims and ensure the company is not left worse off as a result of carrying the risk. so at the end of the day, everybody puts in their effort to get a profitable result for the organisation.

So just do away with that idea of someone sitting around to collect salary

I read insurance and actuarial science, don't want to market insurance.it has always been my dream to work in an insurance company like cornerstone. Pls reply.
Sup bro.... For an insurance graduate, believe me working as a marketer is an under utilization of human resource. The best is for u to work as an underwriter. Cornerstone had their graduate trainee earlier this year, same with custodian. If u really want to enjoy insurance, I will advise u watch out for insurance companies and some big broking firms when they are recruiting for technical positions and not marketing. I also studied insurance and I never for one day plan to work as a marketer. And that worked for me. U can start by going on naicom's site, get a list of all insurance companies an brokers too, then send ur cv to their email addresses, drop ur cv on their sites, then msg their MD's too. (yeah that works too)

CareerRe: What Factors And People Aided Your Choice Of Course Of Study/Profession? by ajasa4link: 10:56am On Jul 11, 2016
Right from primary school If anyone ask what my future ambition was then, I boldly reply aeronautic engineering. Right from my primary school days I've been reading complex books which my older siblings find it difficult to comprehend( yes, I was that bright). suddenly in my junior secondary school days money just caught my attention and all I wanted to be was a banker. When I sleep I see my self in bespoke suits carrying briefcase and entering UBA like a boss. Fast forward to the end of JSS3 when our JSSCE results came out and I had 9A's ,3C's and all the teachers were just famzing about how they knew I was going to be the next best thing after slice bread(including those ugly ones that always flog me for the flimsiest excuse).

The VP academics just called me to her office telling not to hustle with other potential SS1 students trying to fix themselves in various departments, that my place is already fixed in the science class. To her surprise, I informed her I would like to be in a commercial class and not science. She was dumbfounded and requested I come with my parents assent that I really should be placed in a commercial class.

By SS2 I already had my SSCE result complete(yeah 8papers consisting of A,B's and C's) courtesy of a GCE I sat for in SS2. Immediately I feel like just leaving school and going to varsity straight.

First Jamb, I filled in accountancy and OAU as the school of choice. After passing Jamb and post ume real well, na so OAU change am for me o. Name not found in admission list. Shege! I just vex removed OAU from the list of schools in my good book.

The following year UNILAG and LASU were my point of call. My post ume score for UNILAG no reach my catchment area(that's a problem when you are from all these states with high level of literacy). As LASU just flash me green light, I just grab am with two hands pakam! And after everything here I am today being grateful I took that right decisions at the appropriate time to cement a good career for myself without much external factor

@ajasa4link and @lekkie073...

When playing with a 3-5-2 formation... the strength lies in the midfield with the midfielders... they should be able to attack and defend at the same time... Manure tried it and didn't succeed... why...? because their midfield had tired legs...

a 3-5-2 formation without the ball employs 5-3-2 which explains why Italy only conceded to a mistake... when manure used the 3-5-2 formation... with and without the ball... they stuck stubbornly to position... that was why we could beat then 3-0 in the first 20 minutes of the first half counter attacking...
My guy, I've done all the necessary explanation in my earlier post, 3-5-2 can never work with the current crop of players we have. Except we are planning to buy all the Italian players u keep pointing out in ur analysis above. Simple!

3-5-2 is not a bad formation at all... that's Italy's formation and they kicked ass...
Arsenal don't have defenders rugged enough to allow us play 3-5-2. Gaskiya if we try that rubbish against a man Utd attack that comprises martial, mitikran and zlatan, we go chop pass the infamous 8-2 o.

The Italian team playing 3 defenders have bonuci and chillieni whom we all know none of our defenders is close to in defensive duty apart from kos

Got a text for interview, I know the coy is legit and all but I do not remember applying plus I have checked my mails and saw nothing in my sent items.

Pls I would appreciate any useful info, to be sure it isn't a marketing job. Thanks
They are recruiting for marketers. Though they have different names for it including financial planner, risk advisor, bancassurance officers, etc. If u have something doing presently that fetches u cash, I will advise u stick with it and look for something better elsewhere. Not discouraging anyone here, but I've had close encounter with people who presently work there in this capacity and it's not a really nice job per se. You are given a target per month which you must deliver, else u will be paid half salary which might not be worth it at all. If u fail to meet ur targets consecutively, the red light begins to flash for u. This marketing stuff is quite different from their in house marketing executives who have cars at their disposal and the support of the top hierarchy in carrying out their marketing duties. I work in the industry and I know what obtains dere
