Politics › Our Development Agenda For A Greater Lagos - Babajide Sanwo-olu's Manifesto by Ajibel(op): 12:27pm On Jan 22, 2019
The combination of Sanwo-olu and Hamzat, if APC put their acts together and win this governorship election will be a 16 years masterplan.

The Lagos state governorship aspirant for APC Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu and his deputy Kadri Obafemi Hamzat have released their manifesto that will guide them in their quest for a greater Lagos if elected as the next governor and deputy governor of Lagos state.

You can download this manifesto here: https://www.proshareng.com/admin/upload/reports/11943-SanwooluManifesto-proshare.pdf

All Jimi needs is for APC to lose the presidential election in Lagos. The events that will follow will be unstoppable.
In 2011, Jonathan won Lagos as the PDP presidential candidate.

When it was the turn of Governorship election, Fashola ACN won PDP with a landslide.

that's what they'd say. But Hamzat is a better candidate.
Yes, he is far better. Another breed of Fashola but Hamzat himself said he stepped down for Sanwo-olu on religious grounds.

He said that there was a time that they opposed the governor, but they later regretted it.

He said that Fashola brought a proposal to expand the Opebi Link Bridge, but they said that the project should be done by PPP.

Fashola replied that all these PPP people do not have money, but they insisted that it should be done by PPP.

The project was never done and Hamzat said that they regret opposing Fashola. He said that it would have been easier to expand the bridge back then because there were fewer houses there then.
I learnt during Fashola's time, proposals and projects were debated for long hours and even sometimes, they spill over and had to continue the next day (though rare).

This was why Lagos worked under Fashola, and that's why I am supporting Sanwo-olu and Hamzat because they worked under Fashola and understands how governance is like, unlike Ambode who centralised the whole thing that you cant even fix a pothole in a local government without his approval.

Thanks so much sir for the updates.

A caller says that he is a person living with disability and that banks in Lagos do not have ramps for people like him.

He also said that he bought land from the state government at Ayobo, but he has not gotten the land or a refund.

Hamzat tells him to see the permanent secretary in charge of lands.

Jimi Disu says that he heard that everything is centralised in Ambode's government. He says that everything needs approval from the top. Will Hamzat decentralise?

Hamzat says that no governor can succeed if he doesn't decentralise.

He said that in BRF's exco, that all issues are brought to exco and everything is debated. That everything you do is monitored. He said that BRF hired young graduates to take pictures of projects. Nobody knew who the graduates were. He said that, as commissioner of works, BRF could suddenly ask yoù why street lights are not working on Ikorodu Road and if you insist that it's working, he could show you videos and pictures to prove that it's not working.

He said that you would be excused from the exco meeting to solve the problem and come back
Fashola!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chai, I miss this man in Lagos.

Everyone now knows that Gbadamosi can do better than Jimi but pride won't let PDP and Jimi team up with BOG to wrestle power from APC as they wish to.

Oga do you live in Lagos?

If yes , is the street infront of your house tarred?

Do you have potable pipe borne water running into any house in your area?

Look around you and tell me how many of you neighbour have proper toilets including you

guy stop deceiving yourself Tinubu has not don anything from Lagos than enrich himself, the people of Lagos build the own roads, provide the own water and find ways to dispose their own shit
During Fashola's era, I lived in Iju ishaga Lagos. The roads in my street were tarred, we also received pipe borne water from Iju water works. I was living in my dad's house so I had proper toilet.

It's obvious you're very much comfortable telling yourself lies and you feel good about it.

If it makes you sleep well at night misleading everyone by saying Lagosians build their own roads and all that, then so be it.

Have a nice day sir

so Ambode was the one the made Lagos not to fix it's road from 1999 till date

Ambrose was the one that didn't fix pipe borne water from 1999 till date

Ambrose is the one that made 80 percent of Lagosians shot inside poly bags and holes since 1999

you must be under a spell
All you've said here are totally false and you yourself know that sir.

Maybe you should read all you wrote up there again slowly and you'll see how _idiotic it sounds.

You're free to lash at Tinubu. I don't like Tinubu too for what he did to Fashola but to come here and tell us he has contributed nothing to Lagos development is just being plain petty.

And lastly, I'm under no spell.

how did he do well for the new Lagos?

70 percent of Lagos streets and roads remain untarred

80percent of Lagosians have no access to toilets

99 percent of Lagosians have no access to potable pipe borne water

please sir tell me how he made the new Lagos great ?
All that you mentioned here sir is Ambode's Lagos.

It wasn't this bad during his predecessors era.

I'm no fan of Tinubu but I can't deny his achievements for Lagos.

I think old age is catching up with Jimi Agbaje. He was far from impressive today.

My own ranking

Gbadamosi
Sanwo-olu
Agbaje
Salis

Keep wailing!!!

Let me ask you again....If Sanwo olu and Tinubu differ on an issue of development or project execution, will Sanwo-olu has the effrontery to follow his belief as against the wish of his paymaster?

I am ashamed that Lagos state, the bride of all Nigerians has a weakling as a Governor. In case you don't know, Sanwo olu has been cornered and made to sign many documents that can implicate him should he wants to prove stunt like Ambode.

Lagos state will only experience true freedom and independent until a new party emerges...not necessary PDP
That's some strong allegations sir, for someone who is still in campaign mode and the election hasn't held yet.

The best comic relief was provided by Yomi Tokoya in 2011.

Yomi Tokoya was a propagandist for Abacha in the 1990s until Abacha banned him from Aso Rock.

He came to the debate in 2011 to steal all Fashola's ideas and campaign slogans
Wow. I can't remember that. But what I can still recollect from the Fashola debate was when one man took it personal against Fashola for demolishing part of his house during a road construction grin grin Fashola had to defend himself and all that.

I wish I could rewatch the 2011 debates to refresh memories.

Next up is tomorrow's debate. I hope it'll also be aired.
Politics › Re: 2019 Lagos Governorship Debate On 13th January (Live Updates) by Ajibel(m): 8:12pm On Jan 13, 2019
I think we've got three good candidates this time around. It wont just be PDP vs APC this time around and with what we've seen, Sanwo and APC shouldn't expect an easy win because Agbaje and Gbadamosi have shown that they are also capable and APC despite being in power over the last 20 years in Lagos doesn't have the monopoly of ideas to turn Lagos into a prosperous city.

I'm happy with the way the debate went.

And thanks to Salis for the comic relief. He got the loudest applause though grin

There's always a guy that provides comic relief. This year it's Mr Owolabi Salis.
You're very right. The last time in 2015 was the fat man in Mega democratic party that said if elected, he'll stop the ongoing construction of Eko Atlantic and other "white elephant" projects
