Thank you for enlightening that chap. Most of the major companies in Nigeria sell to the poor. Nestle ,cadbury, CHIVITA and even Dangote. They all stock products that sell below 100 naira and that is a number game . TheGoodJoe: |
They were able to pass many bills but not quick to pass the bill for increment in minimum wage amidst the suffering of the people. What a shame! |
In saner climes, most constructions that tend to affect commuters are done at night but for naija, I can't explain. |

eezeribe:I thought I was the only one who saw that. I keep reiterating that we have a lot of people employed in the wrong offices in this country. |
Why not, if not? If you need them, you can always order for them or pay someone to help you do that. pragmatistm: |

Beasts of no nation...Amidst all the hardships and inflation in the country , they still refuse to increase minimum wage yet cart away tens of millions every month from doing job of mortgaging the future of it's citizenry. One day, The people will rise! |
So how did your trip go ? Just remembered and decided to check how it all went. sleekchic: |
Truth be told, there is so much hardship in the land considering the inflation rate of food stuffs . I went to the market the other day with 10k and like you said, poly bag no full. We start dying the day we start becoming silent about things that matter. I have taken a step to speak out and reach out to the government we voted in. Sign the change.org petition to increase salaries from 18,000 to 56,000. Do not say because you are not earning 18,000, this doesn't affect you. It is affecting our brothers, sisters and the upcoming generation that will eventually not get well educated to be leaders of tomorrow.I see and hear of so many broken homes which is mostly as a result of husband's and father's not being able to meet up with their responsibilities because things have become really expensive and there is no price control. https://www.change.org/p/increase-nigerian-minimum-wage-from-18000-to-56000 PDPGuy: |

I am glad people are seeing what I am seeing. I went on change.org website to seek for support so our govt can feel our pain but one thing I have come to understand about Nigerians is that they know how well to manage oppression. APC led administration is 2 yrs already and no single effect has been cushioned on workers welfare. Let our voices be heard. Sign the petition below for increment in workers salary. I need someone who can offer a replacement for my Spectranet modem that is faulty. The black pocket modem I mean. Spectranet is requesting 15,000 for replacement which I find expensive. I just want to remove my sim from old modem and put in another as I have tested it that way and it works. 08020690435. |
https://www.change.org/p/increase-nigerian-minimum-wage-from-18000-to-56000?source_location=minibar Being a patriotic Nigerian citizen who identifies with the hurdles of the common man, I have been left with no option but to try and save our leaders of tomorrow. The average Nigerian working for his country earns 18,000 naira about $50 monthly which can only buy a 50kg bag of rice in the current economy. These set of people have to transport themselves on a daily basis ,bring food on the table for their families and provide quality education for their offsprings. The average cost of transportation daily is about 500 naira . If you multiply this by 20 days , you have 10,000 leaving only 8,000 left. It is only imperative that their earnings be increased considering the inflation rate of the economy. 18,000 naira is simply unsustainable and unfair because eating a good meal at a local restaurant costs about 500 naira . If you transport and feed yourself ( just 1 square meal) with 1000 naira on a daily basis ,in 20 days, you have spent above 18,000 naira. They have familiies to take care of and childrens education to pay for. There is no way a Nigerian earning 18,000 can have any savings except debt accruing. Moreseo, there is no way we can educate the leaders of tomorrow on a salary of 18,000 naira. The solution and way forward is for their salaries to be increased. Thank you!

I haven't been to Ajman but I believe everything you need is in Dubai. What you can't get in Deira ,you get in some malls. Deira is a big place to shop and there are some big stores that sell wholesale prices too in Deira like Corado, Gift Land etc. You have Dubai mall, Dubai city centre ,Ansar and Sahara mall in Sharjah and many more. From the airport just take a taxi to Deira ,shouldn't cost you up more than about 40 dirham's or so. IF you get there and need someone to show you around , I have a good friend who is into Logistics there and has been in that town for about 10/yrs. I am not marketing anything o ,just trying to be of help. Goodluck sleekchic: |
Yes this is just by the corner of Gold Souq. Perfect location for you since it is a biz trip and you can see the town. Also the cargo guys use somewhere close by to wrap their cargos and all. However if you intend sending your stuffs via cargo, dont patronise touts, its quite risky. Better find a cargo company to use directly. That will save you costs. What are you going to do in Ajman by the way? Never been there but a friend of mine told me about the place. sleekchic: |
There are a lot of hotels in the environment I suggested to you earlier. Index hotel,London hotel, Queens hotel etc. You will find a lot of Nigerians in that area. You can also extend your shopping and search for hotel to Naif Market around Al Musalla rd and Baniyas Square. All of these areas are within walking distance and this is the city centre where you need to be. Everything is there even African Restaurants. No need to get hotel far away so you don't spend much on taxi. redcurry: |
Sabkha rd,Deira ,Dubai is where you want to be. Visit that area and extend your window shopping to Gold Souq and Naif Police Station. Thank me later. |
Who smile help? |
Who PDP help? Pdp should let go of 2019 already. A party that can't even unite their own structure is unfit to rule the giant of Africa. At this point ,we need a constructive opposition made of technocrats not the same old politicians |
Pillars are necessary because water over time weakens structures. |
